Kilio flinched at Mono's words, guilt wracking his chest again. "I-I just thought I could help. When Elixir said we could go to ShadowClan I thought it would be helpful. I thought it was a good idea. . ." He trailed off. It wasn't really doing him any favors, he knew he'd messed up by thinking they could take on the anticlan. The memory of his boasting confidence was painful at this point. His head hung a bit and forced himself not to glance over to his father for comfort. He still didn't understand what had happened with his wolf form, or if his dad would even forgive him for this situation.

The scent of ShadowClan hit Kilio's nose like a violent reminder. At this point he didn't think he'd ever forget it. The hyena stalked up beside Arcane and Elixir, glaring at the kitten who had brought along a basket of some sort. Obviously they weren't ThunderClan. Was he just here to make fun of them? To show off how he'd gotten out of the fight with barely more than a hurt tail?Kilio let out a low growl, snapping in Punchy's direction. "Well it's pretty dumb to bring ThunderClan gifts to RiverClan!" He was feeling particularly grumpy after the recent incident, and was definitely in no mood to deal with the ShadowClanner. Even if it was just the kitten that he had been reluctant to hurt during the battle. "They live in a village, not on an island." Why would ShadowClan send this kid out to deliver things anyway? It sure was irresponsible to let a tiny child run around outside the territory. The hyena didn't even bother to notice the hypocrisy of his thoughts as he continued to fix his amber gaze on Punchy.

Tea's comforts did make Kilio feel a bit better. The bunny was so gentle and kind, it was a lot nicer than all the scoldings. Not that he didn't deserve them, of course. "Um, my left side hurts a little. I think I have some scrapes too." It was the side that had hit the ground with the most force when Sango threw him down. The "scrapes" he felt were where her teeth had grasped him around his torso so that she could fling him down. They stung a bit, but they didn't hurt as much as his head so he hadn't worried about it. -
luv dat fuckboi
i've known felix for approximately 4 days but. i do really like him a lot!!
he's super fun to read normally but i really like seeing Emotional too i cant wait to see more of him -
Hearing Newt's greeting, Kilio hurried over to see this new joiner. The tabby looked pretty nice, and her voice reminded him a bit of Tea. Nic clanmates were always good to have! Puffing up and standing a bit taller to make a good impression, the striped hyena cub bounded towards Nina. "Hi Nina! I'm Kilio." He held his head a bit higher, proudly pushing his nose in the air. "You can count on me if you ever need a bodyguard, I'm good at protecting!" He was great at protecting, especially when it came to nice clanmates! -
mm would you want a thread with kilio whenever felix gets back from capture? :oc
kilio would just be like "i totally tried to save u yknow. got really close too" -
Kilio's ears drooped as he heard his and Eli's names called for their adventure. He supposed his punishment could be a lot worse, cleaning camp for a weak sucked but he probably needed to heal anyways. At least Ivylee seemed more worried about them being hurt than them being punished. Or maybe them getting hurt was considered part of their punishment. Well, either way, the hyena cub wouldn't be getting up to that nonsense again for a while. At least not until he learned how to be more stealthy on enemy territory. -
Kilio skipped along behind Newt for what appeared to be a much shorter amount of time than he anticipated. He figured this haunted cove would be somewhere completely secret and hidden, really hard to get to! But maybe proximity didn't affect the quality of adventures that much, it could still be fun. He grabbed the backpack Newt handed him and sat down to bring it over his shoulders before remembering to take the hard hat out and put it on. It was a little bit big on him, but that was fine, he'd make it work. He'd been somewhat listening to Newt as he focused on the supplies, but he probably didn't miss anything important. With that he looked up towards the feline, his hat hitting his muzzle with the force if him whipping his head up. Pushing it upwards above his eyes so that it slid slightly to the side, Kilio shifted his paws in excitement. "I'm ready! Let's go find this treasure!" Maybe after they got started Newt would let Kilio lead the way through the cave. That would be amazing! He'd be finding his way with only his instincts to guide him, like a real adventurer! -
The call was tempting: Kilio had been assigned keeping the camp clean as punishment for his earlier incident with ShadowClan, but it's not like that was all that difficult. Surely it would be alright to have another task to do in the meantime? Ivylee said he couldn't train for a week, but a task wasn't training, right? The hyena cub sheepishly made his way over to Riv, hoping he wouldn't get scolded by the leader. "Um, can I have one?" -
Coloring eggs sounded. . . odd to Kilio. He'd never seen that kind of concept before. Maybe it was some tradition? He'd have to ask Arcane about it later. Sitting next to Elixir, he watched Newt begin to paint his egg, looking like an egg shaped reconstruction of their own territory. Well, Kilio could do that, definitely! "I wanna make one that looks like Dad!" That would be perfect! The australian shephard had a really cool fur pattern, much cooler than Kilio's own plain stripes. The cub grabbed an egg quickly, being a little to rough in his excitement and noticing a small crack in the edge when he brought it up to his face to inspect it. "Uh, oops, can I have a different egg?" -
Kilio bounced in excitement as Newt let him lead them through the cave. He was leading a real discovery team! This was amazing. The cub ran ahead, listening to the echoing of his own pawsteps as he did. He stopped for a moment, contemplating the noise, then let out what he considered to be a ferocious bark into the tunnel so that he could hear it repeated back to him. He did it a couple times, continuing to listen to the faint noises of the cave. "Newt, look! I'm gonna scare away every ghost before they even get to us!" He certainly hadn't forgotten about the haunted part in his eagerness to find treasure; they would have to fight off the ghosts for their prize. His confidence wavered just a bit as he felt a sudden chill in the air. Was it windy? It must have been windy, yeah, that was it. Windy. In the cave. When another barking echo bounced off the walls, the cub jumped a foot in the air, letting out an undignified squeak as he ran closer to Newt again. "Um, heh, that echo took a little while to come back, huh?" He wasn't about to assume that he made the ghosts mad. That was too frightening of a thought.

Nerves rang in Kilio's ears as he made his way to the medicine den. He had to do this. He didn't want to bother Arcanepaw, but if they could just have a small conversation, just a quick few words then maybe he could leave that ShadowClan incident behind him. Maybe. The striped hyena paused in front of the den, taking a deep gulp. What form was his dad in right now? Was it his dad or- that wolf? He supposed they were both his dad, really. But that wolf form had been so sudden, so frightening. As much as Kilio felt awful about the injuries Arcane had suffered, somehow the idea that he had completely changed who his father was in that moment hurt worse.
The cub inched his way through the entrance, hoping Arcane was in fact here. He took a few pawsteps, not looking up just yet. He didn't know what to do if he looked up and saw a wolf again. He wouldn't mind if his dad was a wolf, he really wouldn't! But if it only happened because of his mistakes. . . Well, that was what the cub was here to find out.
"H-hey Dad? Are you here?" he called out, his heartbeat drowning out his voice in his ears. He didn't want this to be scary. If he could fix it, maybe it wouldn't be.
@Arcanepaw C. hope its ok i made that thread we mentioned before ahhhh!!

The cub walked a bit further into the den upon hearing his father's voice, finally looking up to see the medic. A sharp pain twisted his chest as he glanced at the broken leg. Of course it would heal, but ti didn't stop him from feeling the guilt that it had happened in the first place. He met his father's eyes carefully, trying to come up with a smile but stuck in a vaguely pained expression. "U-um I just wanted to ask. . ."The words stuck in his throat for a moment. He hated this, he would have no trouble asking anyone else, apologizing to anyone else. He would give them a fast "sorry" and be done with it, onto the next adventure. He wouldn't stick around for the forgiveness part, it wouldn't matter. But here, here it felt so much more important that his apology was as sincere as it could be. How could he put all of his emotion into so few words? He tried again, feebly. "Um, I'm really sorry. About what happened, and your leg, and-" -his voiced cracked in a sad sobbing sound- "-a-and I'm sorry I turned you into a wolf." There. At least it was out now.

Decorating dens. It wasn't the most entertaining task to be given, but it did fall into line with Kilio's punishment of keeping the camp looking nice. Maybe he could just pretend he was only staying in camp because of his assignment and not because he was in trouble. Forget all about the little incident that had occurred. He had left camp for a few moments, but only to collect supplies. Around were an array of shells, flowers, shining stones that he had found that looked to be the "prettiest". The striped hyena took a few of each and began to arrange them in piles. It made the most sense that the ones that matched should go together, but he didn't really have an eye for that kind of stuff. For now he tried to get as many colors into each pile as he could while keeping the amount of flowers and shells the same. He had created two rainbow stacks of decorations before it occurred to him that he should actually ask those who used the dens what types of decorations they liked the most. Then it would be way way easier to know which colors and pieces to put together.
The cub jumped onto his feet and looked around the camp, putting his head up high to call for volunteers. "Hey! Does anyone have requests for den decorations?" Maybe someone would ask for a valuable stone, only found on a dangerous mountaintop in the depths of the mountain range! That would give him a nice excuse to go out and have fun. Or maybe he really should take it easy for the remainder of the week.

Newt's sudden reaction sent a wisp of uncertainty into Kilio. Was it alright for him to go further into the cave all on his own? And what did he mean by being waken up suddenly? As the feline disappeared ahead of him, the hyena pinned his ears back and stared into the darkness. "Newt?" he whispered, wanting desperately for his new friend to come back.He shook his head then, trying to ignore his apprehension. He was supposed to be Newt's bodyguard! He couldn't leave the tom to go wandering through the cave to be eaten up by ghosts! (He also didn't want to be eaten by ghosts himself while Newt was gone, but he wouldn't admit that.) Taking a few slow pawsteps, he attempted to navigate the darkness as silently as he could to find out what Newt was doing. Maybe he could be sneaky enough that he wouldn't know Kilio was following. Although he would certainly jump out of hiding if he discovered Newt being attacked! Just like a good body guard.
-
Kilio smiled as Newt made his way over, the grin practically reaching his ears. "It does feel like a treasure hunt! And I get to show off all this treasure I found all over the camp!" Suddenly the task felt much more enjoyable for the cub. Maybe he wasn't going to some far off land to find this treasure, but he had spent plenty of time searching for it, and it was shiny enough to be treasure-like. Newt had such a nice way of looking at things."I have a few blue and green glass pieces. I have one that's like, a bluish green. It's like both of them at once!" He held up the oblong glass shape he had found, looking at Newt through the transparency. "And I have some blue shells! No green shells though. Do you want me to hang them from your den?" Maybe shells just didn't come in green. Or perhaps he could make them green? Like what Kate had done with those plastic egg pieces. He'd save that idea for later.
-
Kilio had only left camp for a few seconds - just a few seconds! And yet, with his luck, that was all it took to suddenly be attacked. He was so caught up the normal scent of home that he felt the sharp digging of teeth in his back leg before he could scent the danger. But as soon as he allowed his nose to notice what was happening, his mind went through the five stages of grief all within a second. It was ShadowClan, that scent. They were back for him, back to kill him for good, and this time they would do it before his dad had a chance to save him. They were out for blood!
At least those were the hyena's thoughts until he heard the voice, that squeaky growl. He turned to see a pup. Just a tiny ceature, wandering from ShadowClan and demanding prisoners. His heart calmed a bit, but he couldn't shake the unsettling feeling that the scent of that clan left him with. And even if it was just a child, those teeth hurt! He whipped his head around to face the small wolf head on, lettinga growl rumble from deep in his chest. "You're gonna let me go! I'm not going back to ShadowClan, and I definitely won't be their prisoner!" He huffed, wondering if he should attack back. He remembered Eli stomping on that kitten's tail when Kilio had failed to attack.
So, was it alright to hurt kids if they were enemies? It didn't feel right, but with those little fangs digging into him, it had to be ok to defend himself. The cub raised a paw and aimed to smack the wolf hard on the head, hoping that a smack would be seen as fair against a child.

Turning to Felix, the cub smiled wide at the compliment and stood proudly next to his stash of treasure. Of course it was a nice collection; he had painstakingly combed the beach for only the finest of random shiny things. He glanced at said collection for a moment, contemplating. What would be best for Felix? "I think blue stuff looks best for you. Also black! Black and blue." He nodded along with his own words, picking through his pieces to find a few black shells and stones, along with some that had a blue glittering property along the outside. "Here! These are perfect for you, we can put them all around your den."He looked toward Newt then, listening to his suggestions. "Yes! That sounds great! I bet I can find string, or vines or something, so we can tie them up like chimes. And I'll find the biggest glass pieces so they take up the whole window!" Personally, Kilio liked the idea of a purple room himself. He'd save some of the violet glass he'd found for his own den.

Kilio had followed with careful steps, only a couple of times accidentally shifting a rock or pebble and freezing until he was sure nothing had come back to get him. By the time he was able to make out the form of Newt again, he was at the end of the cavernous tunnel, coming out into some kind of wider clearing. There was. . . a lake? Underground? And it looked like Newt was heading toward some bridge to walk over it. The cub gave a frustrated huff. So he wasn't allowed to climb a tree over water, but Newt could just walk onto a frail looking bridge over a whole lake? His frustration died when he heard the feline call his name. He pinned his ears back and slowly walked into Newt's view, a bit ashamed that he'd been caught following. "Yeah, I'm here. I didn't want to stay in that cave by myself." At that thought he began trotting closer to Newt, wanting to be away from the mouth of the tunnel. "Is everything alright now? Did you find anything?"
