More people, yay! He was already getting excited by all the attention. There were a lot of things he loved, but attention was very high on his list. He was relishing in the way everyone was focused on him, looking at him, regardless of their gazes held confusion or hostility or any other negative emotions. He just enjoyed being under the spotlight, even if it cast him in a bad light.

The first one to arrive was an odd looking male, sporting draconic wings and pretty eyes. He was drawn in by the unnamed one's mysterious appearance, and that wasn't even the icing on the cake. Aurelien was old, and in his case, age most certainly was linked to skill through means of experience, and in his centuries of experience, this wyvern carried all the tells of a vampire. He eyed Dusty with a hint of a leer in his crimson eyes and let his tongue swipe across his lips, then winked and swiftly turned his attention away. Someone else was approaching now, and the moment Aurelien laid eyes on him, he felt a frosty chill bite his pelt. A leopard of sorts, and one who's stunning body emanated an ethereal coolness that threatened to chill him to the bone. Sensitive ears flickered curiously in his direction, but didn't linger long as he realized he was being spoken to. There was something odd about the leopard, but he wasn't one to pry, especially when he had just been spoken to.

This one was evidently a hellhound, and a young one at that, exhibiting petite, delicate features. He turned his focus to Hypokrisis to listen to his inquiries, a grin splitting his maw. "Indeed I am visiting Dimitri, and I have to admit, it is my main purpose. As curious as I am of a clan with a name and a reputation like yours, it doesn't interest me as much as this lovely gentleman." He shot Dimitri a smaller, shyer smile and made a kiss sound with his lips. "Nevertheless, I hope to become well acquainted with you all during my stay."

Before he took the time to respond to Dimitri, he decided to greet the final member of the welcoming crew with a soft, musical chuckle. "Why, you're the first person to introduce yourself to me! It's a pleasure to meet you, Jamison. I'll be sure to take you up on the offer if the need arises, sweet."

Now his objective, the kitsune, attracted his full attention once more. "Of course I was waiting for you, sweetheart! Aw, I would have been so nervous walking into this place if you weren't around! All these scary new faces and all, right?" That was a bit of a lie, but it was an obvious one. Aurelien clearly didn't have a problem with strangers of any degree, considering how boldly he'd been attempting to portray himself up to that point. A laugh left him in the form of a bubbly purr and he added, "Perhaps not nervous, but I definitely would have felt hurt." He flattened his ears to make himself appear smaller, then sat up tall again, a bright light emerging from the murky depths of his blood red eyes. "And of course I missed you, I missed you dearly! How could I not after that lovely day we spent together?" It had been a short meeting, but a worthwhile one. Aurelien had been deprived of love and romance for quite some time before meeting Dimitri, and the flirty, romantic evening they shared more than made up for it.

He fell quiet as he gave Dimitri a turn to speak, but the more he spoke, the more energy seemed to seep into the spotless feline's body. "Always something interesting with you, hmm? Oh, you're just the perfect sort of man, you know? Never a dull moment. That's one way to make the cheetah stay." He purred yet again and stuck his tongue out, winking as he did so. "I can't wait to see what adventures you lead me on, Mister Dimitri Hellfire." Then he gazed up at the sky. "Until then, mind showing me a place to stay, darling? The day's taken a toll on this delicate body of mine."

that's alright, i just stayed up the whole night and dont have the energy to write anything decent right now lmao;; probably gonna pass out soon tbh

family relations are super complicated lol, but aurelien is amphion's great great great great great great great great (etc etc) uncle (im not sure exactly how many generations are between them but they're at least 1000 years apart in age). amph doesnt know his real last name (it has a lot to do with the fox spirit who gave him a visit a while ago) and aurelien is going by a fake last name :o

    I SLEPT DONT WORRY <3

and it is kinda hectic, but my favourite thing is making my characters connected in odd ways.
yes, Aure and Dimi definitely have a lot of similarities, and it makes their relationship so much more fun!!

and thanks, im looking forward to it c:

Now, Aurelien couldn't exactly eat fish. They seemed disgusting, and smelled horrid, so he didn't totally mind. Vampirism wasn't always a curse. However, they - the fish - were delightful creatures to watch. The way they flopped about and wriggled through the water and, ah! They were so stupid. It was fantastic.

At the time, he was racing up and down the riverbank, watching the silvery creatures with their flashy scales dart through the current, hiding from his shadow as though it was a looming phantom of death itself. "Oh, stupid fish, how I love to play with you," he purred when the snapping of jaws caught his attention. He stopped in his pacing and his sensitive ears flickered in the direction of the sound, and he noticed an unfamiliar maned wolf standing a distance away. (Granted, most people in this clan were unfamiliar up to that point.) The next thing his crimson eyes noticed was the simple dam she had constructed, and by that point, his interest had been captured. A purr continued to rumble gently in his throat as he crept over to where she stood, downing a fish on the opposite side of the river.

Once he reached her position, he lowered himself and sprang forward, stretching his spotless body out in a graceful leap. Landing elegantly at Kahlua's side, he realized that some other, more familiar faces had gathered in the time it took him to approach the scene. "Hello, Madame Wolf," he hummed in a joking greeting, swaying his tail playfully as he gazed up at her. Then his attention swivelled over to Kace and Jamison as he smiled. "And hello, boys," he cooed. "What are we all up to? That's a lovely little trap you've built - have a use planned for these little guys, sweetheart?" He returned to the water's edge and peered into the dam, keeping his body low against the sands so that his apparently fearsome shadow wouldn't spread across the water's surface, spooking the poor fish within.

Aurelien had never been a huge fan of ornaments, but they often suited him beautifully, so he decided he'd change things up a bit and treat himself to some decorations. He sidled over to Kace and his customers with a faintly wolfish smile and sat back, chin tilted down, as it always was. His body language would display that he always considered himself below everyone, and while this wasn't false, he was also just being a little egoistic. Even if, perhaps, he wanted to be lowest of the low. The thought was pleasant.

"Ah, I don't know where to start!" the cheetah whined, pouting at the collection of supplies. "I'd like a necklace, but what would look good on me?" He sighed, gazing around at everyone else before his eyes landed back upon Kace. "Any suggestions, darling? I'll trust your judgement." He flashed a brief wink, then smiled a light-hearted smile.

The scent of flowers drew him in like a bee to pollen, which he supposed wasn't a completely arbitrary connection. Both he and bees sported yellowy colourings and enjoyed revelling in the joy that was flora, except that Aurelien certainly didn't need it to survive. He certainly hadn't expected to find flowers in a desert, though! Cactuses (or cacti, perhaps, though he didn't really care) were such odd plants.
Another thing that Aurelien liked was kids. He had many sons of his own, and he cherished them all dearly, so he was quite well-weathered in the ways of a parent. His motherly instincts were a large part of his being. The thought made him wonder how his own children were doing. Especially his most cherished son, Akro. What was that boy up to these days? Maybe a short visit home was due after all.

He walked up to Meg with a bright smile on his face, carrying his light body with an airy demeanour. "Hello, darling!" he purred to the child, settling down nearby. "Might you have a flower to spare for me? They're awfully pretty!" Then he shot his gaze around to see who else was nearby, grinning at each of them. "And hello to you all, as well."

It was time for a little change of pace.
Aurelien was already comfortable in BloodClan. The heat was welcoming, and the people were interesting, and he wanted to get to know them better! There was nothing more satisfying than familiarizing himself with once strangers, whether they liked him or not. He was a pest, he wasn't afraid to admit it. It ran in the family. Hell, his father's name could be translated into words like 'plague' and 'curse', and those two words had definitely been shouted at him on many occasions, especially by his good old mother. The two got along like fire and water, yet loved each other as though they'd been born to be together. He could glean that much from their gentle teasing and playful arguments, even if his grumpy, cold mother seemed far from playful or gentle. Aurelien was no oblivious soul.
Ah, his mind was trailing quite off topic, wasn't it? He was supposed to be focusing on his clanmates, not the fleeting memories of his youth!
Anyway, what better way to get to know someone than by offering a kiss?
A sleazy grin was plastered proudly onto his face as he leaned over a tall, flat rock with the words 'KISSING BOOTH' elegantly painted onto the face. His front paws were resting on the topmost surface while he gazed around at the bustling camp. "Come on, darlings. Aurelien wants a kiss or two!" he sang in a flirty tone. "Girls and boys are welcome, there's plenty of love to go around, sweeties!"

Lonelyanthem? That was a very pretty name for a very pretty canine. Whistling softly, the cheetah sidled over to Dusty and plopped his rump down next to the wyvern, gazing upon the stranger with bright eyes. "Welcome to our gorgeous desert home, beautiful. I'm Aurelien - if you need anyone to make you feel at home, well, I'm your man, sweetie," the cheetah hummed warmly. Bold words coming from himself, considering he was also a newcomer, having only joined a few mere days prior.

"Someplace dark and hot, eh?" he asked, blowing out a sharp breath. "Well BloodClan here is bright and hot, from my experience. Needed a change of lighting, did ya, sweet? Don't blame you, I'll always prefer the sweet sunlight to the dreary moonlight." The moon did nothing but make him think of sad times, which was why he was happy that he wasn't alone any longer. He felt better about it with company at his side to comfort him, no matter who it might have been. He was born to bathe in the sun, and he flourished under its light. "Nights are pretty, though, if you find yourself homesick." he chuckled softly, covering his mouth with a soft, pale paw.

Aurelien's gaze shifted over to Jace and he let out a thoughtful little whistle, looking the tiger up and down as he mused. "If you wanted me to, babe," he answered sweetly, leaning further over the rock with a widened grin. This handsome feline held quite the promise, and he eagerly waited to see if he'd receive a prize in the form of a sweet little kiss.
Kisses, so simple yet so bold and meaningful. He loved them. And if he was already this lucky, he wondered what other faces he was going to get a little personal with!

    [ "speech" - actions - thoughts ]

Ooh, what a turn out! Granted, not everyone wanted one of his special smooches, but that didn't bother him very much. He hadn't expected everyone to love him. Not once in his life had he had the appreciation of everyone around him. There were always a few that simply couldn't stand him. A few particular names crept into his mind, but he quickly shunned them. Kahlua was the first to turn him down, and he swung his head around to face her, still grinning like the sleazy idiot he was. "Aw, of course I do, darlin'," he chirped. "Dimitri is my boyfriend, but he's not here, is he?" He shook his head, grin being swiftly replaced by a pout. "Unfortunately not, and besides, I want to play around a bit." He licked his lips, turning his focus to Barbara. "Speaking of which, come on over, sweetheart. Kisses, kisses!" He pulled his paws off of the rock and circled around, moving in to offer the gorgeous feline a kiss. "Thanks, honey. You're welcome anytime." He shot her a wink and moved onto the next lucky individual.

Two bores were the next to get his attention, sadly. "Aw, alright, my sweets," he said in a forgiving but solemn voice. "I understand, but let me know if you change your minds. We can always go somewhere private if you're shy." He smiled and stuck his tongue out at Jackdaw and Feliks. Shame; both of them were gorgeous specimens.

His nose was alerted of a certain kitsune's arrival before he came into view. His muzzle was split with an ear-to-ear smile and he quickly turned around to watch Dimitri stalk over. "There he is! Hey, baby, come to get a kiss from me?" he chimed melodiously, stalking over to the dark-furred vampire. Then he stepped back when Dimitri began to talk, accusing him so devilishly of cheating. Ears flattened and eyes wide with a joking look of hurt, he began to attempt to defend himself. "Dima, my sweet, you have to understand -- h-hey!" He stared after Dimitri with agony in his eyes. Then he glared at Feliks and lifted his chin with a "Hmph!" before storming back over to his rock. Most would be able to tell it was an act, and if they couldn't see through the mock-hurt in his eyes, the laughter he concealed when he walked away would certainly reveal his true intent.

He looked up at Jace and sighed, tracing circles on the rock with a claw. "That's be lovely, handsome. I think I need someone to cheer me up now, anyway." He flashed Dimitri a mocking look, sticking out his tongue and narrowing his eyes, then he grinned in Jace's direction again. "Come on then, hun." He leaned over as far as he could, expectantly waiting for Jace to meet his advance. "Looking forward to dinner."

Aurelien nodded thoughtfully along to Kace's suggestions, then got to his feet, slinking over to the Malinois's selection of supplies for the ornaments he was advertising. "I see! That sounds lovely. I'll put everything together with my own paws - they're quite nimble, they are - but thank you for offering to help me, darling." He let out a small purr and began to gather everything he wanted, collecting beads and feathers and musing how he wanted to organize them on the necklace itself. Indeed, the dark colours would provide a nice contrast to his pale pelt. Maybe they'd bring out his eyes more!
Once content, he slipped each component of the necklace onto the string, one by one, and when that was finished, he struggled for a few minutes to get it around his neck. Then he stood up and did a slow spin. "Ah, there! Thoughts? Be honest, sweeties, I can take the criticism."

The incredibly extroverted and very flirty cheetah was overjoyed to have a place where he could walk a few minutes and bump into someone he could chat with, as long as he was in camp. He'd already engaged in as much socialization as possible, trying to meet everyone he could and flirt around with everyone he met. He wasn't used to using up so much energy anymore, though. That day, he was feeling a bit burnt out. He was aching for some personal company, and there was one person he knew could fulfill that role in this sandy land.

In his excitement to get out and enjoy the new company, they had both ended up neglecting each other. (And, he had to admit, he was still a bit bitter about not getting a kiss at his kissing booth!) Unlike Dimitri, Aurelien didn't mind appearing a little bit needy; he needed affection sometimes, and that was a simple fact. And when he wanted something, it was only reasonable that he would pursue it. So, he was tracking the other vampire's scent, hoping it would lead him right to him. And as he hoped, before long, he saw the dark canine wandering innocently near the pyramids. The way he looked so nonchalant, it was like he hadn't been thinking about Aurelien at all! Aurelien didn't like it. Was he the only one missing the attention? He contemplated turning around then and there and wandering off to find someone else out of spite...

Aurelien winked at Jace and leaned in to meet the kiss, puffing a breath of satisfaction from his nose. When Jace pulled away again, he did the same, returning to his comfortable position against the rock. "Thanks, sweet. Don't keep me waiting, I'm not very patient!" He chuckled and flicked his tail, keeping his warm crimson eyes steady upon Jace's handsome face, feeling quite lucky.

He hadn't had the chance to hear the news directly, but in BloodClan, gossip seemed to spread quickly enough, so he'd overheard through one person or another. That didn't matter. What did matter was that he was feeling a little sad that he hadn't been around to congratulate Dimitri on his handsome new status, so to make up for it, he'd made the trip out to ColouredClan. Aurelien purred with interest as Kahlua responded to his relaxed inquiry. He'd only been half-expecting an answer from her, as he wasn't entirely interested, but it was fun nevertheless to hear the maned wolf's plans for the doomed little aquatic creatures. "I see! That is smart, I must admit. Use the weak to lure in the strong, no?" He backed away from the water once again, sat down, and smiled over at her. "I don't particularly like fish, but thank you anyway. I'm sure others will appreciate it, though." He gazed around at his other clanmates, winking out of habit.
