Annie shrugged. "I wasn't asleep yet. Do you wanna watch a movie or something or are you okay to try and sleep again?" She asked trying to make him feel as comfortable as possible.

Elliot didn't know if leaving Tria was the right call yet. The anxiety and rage tightened his chest into a tiny crumpled ball. That's when he smelled it. Nearby. The putrid scent of cocky confidence, lies and death. He shot his head around and he saw it. A black blur disappearing behind a corner. "Get back here you bastard!" He yelled at the top of his lungs, his voice deep and booming and his eyes practically glowing bright orange. He took off down the hall, the seams on his suit pants ripping by his knees and elbows. He rounded the corner clumsily and raced toward the slamming stairwell door. It was locked? Barricaded? Elliot wasn't sure but not even all the rage in his body could open the steel door no matter how hard he slammed against it. "Fuck!" He roared.
-
Annie gasped, and smiled wildly. "Of course. Movies are like.. picture books but on a screen and.. it's like if you took real life, but projected it.. Just, We'll start with the classics!" She jumped up, not knowing how to explain motion picture to him. She dug around in her movie bin and pulled out Frankenstein. Relevant but maybe too spooky for right now. "We'll watch Princess Bride. It's a funny movie and you absolutely have to see it." She said popping it in the DVD player before sitting back down. Suddenly the tv screen lit up and the movie began.
-
Elliot gave up on the door and ran to the other stairwell and it was locked too. "Fuck" She screamed again. He ran to an elevator and pressed the button at least a thousand times. It was on the thirtieth floor going an inch a second. He ran to the other elevator and pressed it's button. It was closer but it'd still be slow. He probably would've tried a window if there were any around. Downstairs Daniel pushed open the stairwell door, fixing his tie he grinned when he saw Tria. This couldn't have lined up more perfectly for him (oof). He sped walked over to her and grabbed her by the hair. There was no one around. "Hello sweetheart." His voice dripped with evil.
-
Annie giggled. "Wasn't it amazing? We could watch another if you want." She suggested as she stood from the couch and stretched out her tired limbs.
-
Annie held the book close to her. She started at the ground, her feet leading her down the sidewalk. A path she knew by heart. "I dunno. They've always intrigued me. As long as I've been told them.. I've felt some sort of truth within them. It's a sad story but a relevant one. People, we're just like them. People can be bad. We punish and shun them instead of helping them. We lock them up and leave them alone. Forgetting about them instead of rehabilitating them. They get out some day and cause more trouble because they learned nothing but more anger and resent in solitude." She said before clearing her throat. "Sorry, didn't mean to go off on a tangent there." She said a bit embarrased. This 'story' was her life. This was her quest and it was practically the only thing on her mind at any time. She knew wholeheartedly it was reality she just didn't know what to reveal to Shane yet.
-
Annie nodded. "Alright. You can come get me whenever you need me. Your water is on the table." She gave him another hug before returning to her bedroom, leaving the door open so he'd feel a bit more comfortable to get her if he needed her.
-
Daniel wrapped one arm around her neck, his large hand held it easily, his other hand covered her mouth. "Elliot is a challange. But what's a challenge without a prize?" His disgusting voice matched his disgusting grin as he pulled her down the hall and into a dark empty room. It looked like a hotel bedroom but it was smaller and unkempt. He threw her on the bed. "Don't try anything stupid, whore." He grinned and walked up to the edge of the bed, unbuttoning his pants. Elliot had finally gotten in the slow ass elevator and made his way to the ground level. He smelled a mixture of Tria's fear and Daniel's filth, the most disgusting mixture to ever enter is nostrils. He followed it quickly to a room on the first floor. It was a room without a number, and he thought it was a supply closet or something. The smell was definitely coming from here. He tried the knob, locked. He tried harder, but it was locked. He started pounding his shoulder against the door trying to break it down.
-
Annie yawned. She stirred awake and after a second all of yesterday's memories returned. She got off her bed and peeked out of her door only to see Goldie shaking, no trembling. She rushed over and knelt down by him. "Hey, hey it's okay. You're safe Goldie. You're safe now." She said trying to snap him out of his trance.
-
Daniel growled and followed her to the door. He grabbed her by the hair just as the door splintered and broke inwards. Elliot had managed to stay on his feet but the second he registered the scene, Daniel holding onto a crying and scared Tria with his pants half off, he couldn't hold back anymore. Nothing was rational anymore. He rushed at Daniel, putting Tria in possibly more harm, but Daniel was so shocked when Elliot's hands wrapped around his neck mid launch, Tria's hair slipped out of his hand. Daniels head knocked against the hardwood floors with a deafening pound and Elliot landed right on top of him. His eyes glowing red, something that'd never happened to him before. Clearly Daniel, even through all he'd done, hadn't seen this level of dedicated protection either, cause he was scared. He didn't have his servants here to save his sorry ass. Elliot tightened his hands so hard there were audible cracks from within the mans neck. (eew)
-
Annie sighed with relief and pulled him into a hug again. "I think you had a nightmare or flashbacks or something." She said, just glad he'd snapped out of it.
-
Annie thought he was wrong. Sure some people were beyond help, but some weren't even given the time of day and they were pushed past that point. "What would I say? I'll get back to you on that later. That's a complicated question.." She trailed off, seems she had a habit of that. "What about you? Who's your hero?" She asked curiously, not taking her gaze from her feet.
-
Scott's throat was tight but he managed a hoarse chuckle at her humor through this. Scott climbed into the bed next to her and wrapped his arms around her, careful of her injuries. "It will be hard. You were going through withdrawals after less than 12 hours. It's going to hurt, but then it wont. And you wont need drugs. It's worth it." He said very seriously. "I will visit you every single day. And don't feel trapped. You definitely should finish, but you can leave whenever you want. They can't force you to stay. But they can charge you for controlled substance crimes if you don't recover." He said softly stroking her hair, looking longingly into her eyes. "I think your parents would be ecstatic. I don't agree with their abandonment, but they did it cause they love you. They didn't want to enable you. Like I do. They would want to hear you're getting better. And if not I'll just have to drag them here by their earlobes" He joked with a sad smile. In this moment, he wasn't sure if he'd really put any of his feelings aside. He was absolutely in love with this women even though he believed she didn't return the feelings. The thought pulled his heartstrings even tighter.
-
Annie sighed and sat down on the couch. Looking over to him, she smiled wearily. She knew he needed some fixing, he might not ever be the same, but she was willing to give everything to helping him. "Did you get any sleep?" She asked pulling her knees to her chest.
-aww omg. and they see their mama help him through it and its a scary/sweet moment-

Elliot's eyes didn't lighten, and his grip only tightened. He didn't even stop even all of Daniel's movement had stooped and he'd taken his last quivering gasp. When Elliot's ears rang in silence his vision blurred and he fell backwards off of the corpse. His breathing was heavy and his vision didn't clear until his eyes had shifted to their original light natural color. "T-Tria?" He yelled in a hoarse voice. He spun around to see her on the ground and he rushed to her side. "Tria I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have let you come. Even if you were mad at me I shouldn't have let you come. You're fucking pregnant." He mumbled, going between angry and devastated. Pulling her up into his lap and Holding her tight. "Are you okay?" He asked urgently. "Did he touch you? Did he.. do anything to you?" He asked, the thought blurring his vision again. He swung his head back into the room, angry at a corpse.
-what if the beta of twin moon and everyone else hated daniel's tyranny so instead of war, they form an alliance and trade bloc?-
-
Annie shook her head, not sure if he'd even noticed her gesture. "Not arrogant. You're just your own person, not following in anyone's footsteps, you're making a new path. Admirable." She said, a little jealous. She'd been given a path before she was even born.
-
Elliot looked up at her, his entire body shaking. He'd killed before but never so.. personally. Cruelly. Remorselessly. "Yes, please." he said. He stood up with Tria in his arms. Holding her close and securely to him. "I shouldn't have sent you away. You should've been with me the whole time. It was a bad call and he could've.." His voice quivered and he still couldn't bare the thought. He slowly began to walk to the lobby entrance. Wanting this whole ordeal to end. Wanting more for it to have never happened. It was his fault. He shouldn't have trusted himself alone with the safety of the one thing in this world that kept him going.
-
-sure-
Elliot thought about what she said. But what he did, it wasn't self defense. It started as self defense, but then it was revenge. It was overkill. It was murder. Cold blooded evil murder. Elliot knew that, and he didn't know if he could cope. He wasn't even over his father death at his hands, and it was a fair fight. Elliot had a lot of blood on his hands, and he knew a quick shower wouldn't soak through the stains.
----------------------------------------------------
Elliot shot up in bed. It'd been about eight hours since he'd taken a life. It kept replaying in his head. In the dream Daniel begged for his life under Elliot's tight grip and evil glowing eyes. In that moment, Daniel wasn't the only monster in that room Elliot wasn't sure what he was capable of but he feared it was worse than what he'd done earlier that nice. He stood from the bed and make his way to the bathroom, not wanting to wake Tria.
-
Annie stopped walking and looked up at him, his hand on her shoulder felt warm. A good warm, a feeling which made her feel safe. Which made it uncomfortable. And she couldn't help it. His expression was serious and his demeanor was genuine, which made it even worse when she let out a laugh. Trust. She just didn't trust. And to trust a stranger? "I'm.. sorry I didn't mean.. to" Her face heated as she stumbled through her words. She felt like a dick. She looked back at the ground. "There's nothing wrong. I'm just.. reserved. This is kind of bizarre to me." She said referring to the coffee invitation and general friendliness, and avoiding the topic of her buried traumas.
-
Elliot heard her scream and burst out of the bathroom and into the room, looking down for the threat but he only saw Tria. He ran over to the bed and climbed next to her. "Selestria it's Elliot. You're okay, please baby you're safe." He said with all too much confidence. What he wouldn't do to protect her.
