His eyes were glazed over, his chest failed to comply to his command for air.

He was, hearbroken? too deep in his thoughts to notice Jaggedsight had

approached from nowhere. Snapping from his mournful daze he hissed in

alarm, only to stare blankly at the medicine cat nuzzling his kits.

Flax lowered his head, closing his eyes. What a loving cat, he was nearly

worked up from the fact Jagged needed no questions, nor to completely understand the

situation before providing comfort. The remaining kits seemed to not be bothered

by the stranger's comforting embrace, as they burrowed into his black pelt.

Cinderstar's voice re-opened his eyes, swinging his head to look towards

his leader. "T-they are mine" his voice was void of emotion.

"I-I took a Riverclan mate...a while back..." he began his story.

"Azurestone...before she died...her current mate.." he caught his

breath. "He sent Azurestone's sister with my kits to meet me..."

he shook his head. "Riverclan is under the impression she died giving birth"

pausing, trying to remember all that he was told.

"They...are so beautiful" he looked back at them as they made

Jagged's pelt their nest.

"I didn't know she was pregnant..." he was starting to ramble.

Averting his gaze to Deerkit's limp body. Why did it hurt so much?

Flax watched his patrol members file in one at a time. Their enthusiasm,

brought a smile on his muzzle. Oblivionclaw, an exceptional warrior.

Rainyskies, a loyal queen. And of course Bluepaw, a cat he owed his sanity.

"Alright, Bluepaw i'd like you to travel in the middle if you don't mind"

he began, hoping she wouldn't take it as an insult to her fighting skills.

"Let's move out" he ordered, raising his tail and trotting toward the exit.

He wouldn't let his epilepsy make him seem weak, even though Bluepaw saw him

at his worst. He felt, liberated. In his head he conjured up a carrionplace plan.

this time of the season rats were everywhere, things can go wrong easily.

"You are all very strong, but be cautious...it's rat season. If we get outnumbered fall back"

he trotted faster, ears flat against his head.

The cave was terrifyingly dark, and cold. The Mahogany colored tom

winced every time his pelt touched the suffocating walls.

For what seemed like forever he was trekking behind Cinder.

Until a beautiful ray of light reflected off of the marble wall just ahead.

Beautiful, his eyes felt heavy from all of the light it was forced to take in

all of a sudden. Cinderstar's gesture earned a brief nod. He watched the

dark grey molly touch her nose to the cold stone, and as if her soul was

instantly sucked from her body she went limp. His examined her closely,

perplexed by the effect the stone seemed to have on her. Folding his ears

back he pondered whither he should do the same, but he kept his gaze on

Cinder. Before he did so, he briefly touched Cinder with his nose and his whole world went black.

Did I just pass out? he shook his head, blinking repeatedly as his sight returned.

Starclan, he breathed. The ethereal universe spread farther than Flax could imagine.

"Woah" his lower jaw hung from its fleshy hinges. Cinderstar! He spotted the molly

trekking quickly, as if she knew where she was going. He dropped to his belly, and followed

her silently. Whether or not she knew he was there was up to her.

Tigerpelt? Flax's ears perked. Hawkmask's brother, he narrowed his eyes. Putting the pieces of the puzzle together in his head. So, Tigerpelt would be where his brother is right? Flax looked around wildly. He had to see the look on Cinderstar's face when he saw her mate. Flaxenmask wanted his leader happy, even if it would never be with him. Lashing his tail at the thought. His crush on the older molly was strange, and he couldn't put a paw on why he crushed so hard on her. Nonetheless, he was here...just for her.

Not that you guys arn't going to see this drawing a million times....

But I finally finished my babe Flaxenmask! He's alive!

Herbs, another language to Flax but he nodded as Jadefeather beckoned for him to follow. He silently regretted asking Jagged if it was a good idea to travel to Thunderclan spontaneously. "Jadefeather...do you think he is going to die?" he glanced back at Jaggedsight, slipping in and out of consciousness . Bayberries? he shook his head from the thought of losing the medicine cat. Flax would defend the tom with his life, but there must be something to defend him from...he was not a medicine cat, he felt useless.

What did I do? Bring her all the way here for heartbreak. Flax clenched his bottom jaw and closed his eyes tightly. Another life? he pondered. what other life is there for a simple warrior? or was there more to this situation that met the eye. Stepping out from the shadows, he almost decided against making his presence known. "Would it be possible for him to reincarnate?" he spoke up, hoping to restore hope into the situation. "We have to try harder...." he spoke to the stranger, the sight of Cinderstar made his heart break. Although it may do no good, he wanted to try for her.

He looked at the ground ashamed, he was fiercly loyal to Shadowclan and more so to Cinderstar. Although Cinder seemed to stick closely to the warrior code, the molly understood. Even asking to assist him, he lifted his head and nodded. Jagged, if you aren't too careful, you are going to be Uncle Jagged. He thought, a smile on his muzzle. Only to disappear, oh deerkit. Flax looked back at Cinder. "I-I want to bury him here...." his voice cracked. Unsheathing his claws he dug furiously as the ground like a warrior's belly, his face twisted into a snarl. He was angry, furious even. Azurestone, for being in Riverclan ... Starclan, for letting a kit die. "I-I don't know how to raise kits properly" he split the ground deep, dirt caked on his fur. "Shadowclan will never accept them...I ruined their lives" he muttered.

For the longest time, he felt that reincarnation was a myth. Could it be possible? Hawkmask maybe your time is not up. Maybe if you do something so selfless and great...your time is not truly up. Tigerpelt's response restored hope, and he smiled. He padded closer to the pair, the tom in front of him looks so alive...for a dead cat.

"Is there any way we could find out?"he spoke unknowingly of Starclan's inability to release such information. "The only kits in Shadowclan have no ties to her..." he pondered. Looking to Cinderstar thankful she wasn't completely torn anymore.

Flax watched Oblivionclaw haul away the medicine cat, it was hopeless to think he will recover from his injuries. His amber optics traveled around the mix of cats, to Thunderclan. Wrinkling his nose, what were they planning. He knew it had to be something, he couldn't really put a paw on it. Oh well, he averted his gaze to Creambounce and Jadefeather. "Yeah...thanks..." he added, with no real gratitude in his voice.

The Riverclanner's state of rage was nearly humorous, if you've ever seen a soaked cat there was nothing really intimidating about them. Flax lowered himself ready for impact, her weight wasn't enough to pin him down but he allowed her to do so, his amber optics meeting hers. How pretty, he noted. He lay on his back, pinned. Tail twitching, he attempted to kick her off with his hind legs. Forgetting his claws were unsheathed, he attempted to swat her foreleg. This was an attack with no real effort put behind it, he was simply too curious. "Is this how you say hi?" he chuckled huskily. "I thought you were drowning, I forgot you Riverclanners are part fish" he added, hoping to agitate her, just a bit.

Flaxenmask vs. Newtpaw

Flax stood in the middle of Stoneroots, his tail twitched. It was time for a good ol' Sparring. The Havana Brown was burly but had some disadvantages. He awaited an opponent, he had told the clan he was hosting a sparring at stoneroots. With Thunderclan being so unpredictable and secretive, it was imperative that they strengthen themselves.

Jaggedsight was gone, again. Flax flexed his claws pacing around camp. Why in the name of starclan does the wisest cat in Shadowclan need a babysitter? Flax left his kits with an NPC and trotted out of camp. He picked up traces of the blind tom and of Dreamcloud. Pursuing the scent, he only found Dreamcloud, looking for something or perhaps Jagged as well. "Hey, Looking for Jaggedsight ?" he meowed, flicking his ear as rain lightly coated his fur. Shadowclan had witnessed three days of rain so far, maybe it was Starclan weeping for them. "When I find him, I'm gonna cuff his ears" he grumbled.
