The fox looked at the strange dog curiously, his reaction was quite odd. How could an animal much larger than him possibly fear him in such a way? "Ah... I see." Duchess brushed the thought away. He had asked the group enough questions for the day. "Well... I suppose it is gettin' a bit lonely around here." The fox muttered to the wolf. "Don't suppose you could chill in my territory? I'll lead ya'll to my den if ya like?" He added much louder this time, dashing over to a smaller log behind him and crawling on top of it. "The names Duchess by the way. If yer interested in the offer, ye can follow me."

Adelaide slowly lifted her amber gaze to look at the newcomer, ears perked curiously. "You must be Foreststar?" The old she-cat rasped sleepily, she had noticed the distressed look on the she-cat's face and she dipped her head apologetically. "I'm sorry for barging in on your territory." She meowed quietly, "but I was injured... and didn't really know where to turn." Adelaide added quietly, tucking her paws under her furless chest as she rested her gaze on the ground. "I would understand if you want me to leave."

Adelaide looked back up at Foreststar and smiled thankfully, "it has been a pleasure being here. ThunderClan has been too kind." The old she-cat dipped her head, then narrowed her eyes at the question. "Ah... Been a stray in the city for as long as I can remember." She added, staring off into space thoughtfully as she went through her memories. "I remember being just a little ol' thing prancing around the streets gleefully. The upwalkers would toss me food and sometimes even let me into their houses." Adelaide meowed quietly, reflecting on what she saw as the good days in life. "Ever since I had these scabs showing up on my skin... None of them even went near me. One time I went up to greet a little cub and it's mother kicked me right in the side. Made the most awful screeching noise as well." The mangy loner added, ears pinned her her head as she looked down at the den floor beneath. "Sure wish I knew how to get rid of this mess. Been given every herb under the sun by now."

The she-cat nodded to Foreststar in understanding, then quickly turned her amber eyes on Tigermumble as he entered the den. "I really can't thank the two of you enough." She purred lightly, though she was mainly looking at the tom before looking back at the ThunderClan leader, tilting her head at the mention of StarClan. "Well... I don't know who StarClan is, but if they're anything like ya'll I'd be more then happy to be friends with em'." Adelaide was starting to feel a bit more like her old self, not really health wise, but more personality wise. It had been so long since she had another soul to talk to. Sometimes, back in the city, Adelaide would try and stir up a conversation with the many park pigeons that often visited to share some of the upwalker's food. It was nice to have some company, and to be honestly, the she-cat hoped she wouldn't ever have to leave. Though that wasn't likely as she was an old cat and wasn't much use other then eating leftover prey. Adelaide looked at the ThunderClan leader sadly, "Well... When I'm all healed, and if I ever do heal, I won't forget what you've done for me. If you ever need a helping paw in the future... I'll be in the city." The she-cat responded before noticing the she-cat's gaze resting upon her awful looking pelt.
"Tell me about it." The she-cat chuckled a bit, "it might surprise you... But I used to have long, glorious cream fur that dragged on the ground when I walked. Probably why the upwalkers couldn't keep away from me."

The she-cat purred at the she-cat's words, "maybe so." She meowed, pushing herself up into a sitting position and smiled a bit at how much easier it was to actually move now. "Ah yes... My apologies. I totally forgot all about names. The names Adelaide. Many of the upwalkers called me that, though some of the smaller upwalkers referred to me as Kitty if that's easier to remember." The she-cat responded, before shifting her gaze from both Tigermumble to Foreststar, "but I don't suppose you'll be needin to tell me yours."

Duchess turned to Shade, not even noticing the injured creature. "Perhaps it would be best for ya'll to come and stay in the protection of my den?" He chattered quietly before looking over at Legend, "well... It's nice to meet ya Legend. Now, please, follow me." The small creature added before hopping off of the log. Here, he sat down and waited for the others to join him on the other side, impatient to show the group his little den. However... He hoped that his den-mate, Ronnie, wouldn't be a bother. As he was a bit... Excitable at times. The sudden feeling of hard ground felt a bit weird as he had gotten used to the wet, squishy, bark of the fallen tree.

Adelaide smiled a bit. "I agree... It would've been much better to run into each other out of adventure rather than pain." The she-cat rasped before looking towards Tigermumble, "a fine warrior I bet he is to. Helping a stranger, even though they are of no benefit to have around." She dipped her head to him in gratitude, "I wish I could repay you, but sadly I don't have anything to offer." Adelaide added, wrapping her tail around her paws. "Unless your alright with me coming over every so often to give you rats and pigeons. But I don't think you'd really want that."

Woah, I wish this group was around for when I was younger. I know how awful migraines were for me when I was younger. Luckily, I either grew out of them or I always know when to treat them. I used to be sick with them almost every night as a kid and it was awful.

Wavepaw flinched slightly as his useless leg moved away from the soft green forest floor. The tom had heard somecat say his name but he didn't really catch the voice. Curious, he turned his copper eyes in the direction of whoever it was and let out a thankful sigh when he recognized Owlcry, his mentor, instead of just any old warrior. How shameful it would be to have the deputy carrying along a failure of an apprentice. He turned his copper gaze towards the ground,. The yowls of ObsidianClan victory hanging in the air. Though the tom was indeed proud of his clan for winning, he didn't want to listen to this garbage anymore. Wavepaw just wanted to go back to camp where he could close himself off from the world and wallow in his shame all alone. What happened today was completely unacceptable and he hated the feeling that it brought. It didn't make you feel like a true leader, standing among an army of cats just waiting to take orders like glory and pride did. No... It felt sickeningly different. Wavepaw felt as if he was just a disappointment to everycat around him... Even Owlcry. They all probably think he's useless now... Well, the gray tom would just have to train a lot harder from now on. Yes! He'd train harder than any apprentice that ever lived! SerpentClan would never see him coming. SerpentClan! How the deep hatred for the group of filthy rouges boiled in his brain. Next time will be different, he'll show all of them that he's more then a piece of prey you can just toss around. No, instead Wavepaw will be doing all of the tossing. ObsidianClan would have to think he's worth something then, right?

The small apprentice looked up at Owlcry, a new gleam in his copper eyes. "Yeah... I guess I was pretty great." He meowed lightly, flattening his ears to his skull when he heard a slight edge in the warriors voice when it came to the word "victory". Wavepaw didn't understand... Wasn't he happy that ObsidianClan defended what rightfully belonged to them? Sometimes the silver/gray tom really wanted to know what Owlcry's true opinion was on the great war, but he didn't really want to ask something that might offend the warrior. After all, Wavepaw wouldn't like it a cat questioned his loyalty like that. After all, the apprentice didn't really know what to say but even so something still spun around in his mind like a swarm of bees. Owlcry used to run away from battles? The idea was so odd to Wavepaw who never backed down from a fight... Even at the cost of life. It made the tom really think about how different the two toms were when compared to each other. So why had Adderstar decided to pair the two up? Did he know it would work out in some strange way? Wavepaw twitched his whiskers at the idea. Out of any cat in the whole clan the leader chose someone who was quite the opposite to him, there definitely had to be some idea behind this decision that Adderstar had. Suddenly the apprentice stopped himself, he was going too far. He'd never gone so far into his mind like this before and it was weird. Maybe he was just loopy from his broken paw? Yes, that's probably what it was. Soon, after a few moments of resting, Wavepaw was sure he'd be back to his old self again. He turned to face Owlcry again, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Bet you couldn't make it to camp before the others with an apprentice weighing you down." The apprentice teased, but in a more friendly manner than usual.

Adelaide padded out of the medicine-cat's den, smiling when the kit gave a blunt answer to the deputy. "Knows what he wants say, no?" The old she-cat rasped before turning to lick her scaly back, pleased at the soft feel of cream fur on her tongue. She hadn't been a part of ThunderClan long and the scabs were already falling off, leaving room for her pelt to finally start showing. It was a very nice feeling to know that she was getting better, a lot faster than anycat had anticipated. However, she still had to spend much of her time in the medicine-cat's as her skin hadn't completely cleared.
"Well, young'n..." The rather ratty looking she-cat meowed as she sat down near the two, "what brings you outta the nursery?"
