THIS IS HOW IT'S GONNA BE
Valentine didn't know what had happened, but when he woke up, he wasn't a hellhound anymore.
Nothing even remotely canine. In fact, the furthest thing from it. He was a bloody panther.
His shiny coat was jet black, but his eyes were still the same - red, glowy, no pupils.
"Umm, guys?"

// ngl i actually choked
Val grinned, shooting the woman a friendly wink, before staring down at the clipboard and filling in the usuals; blood oxygen, heart rate, blood pressure, blah blah blah. Sometimes, being a student was hella boring - you never got to actually do anything worthwhile in the operations. Just watch.
He looked up with a joking raised brow as the same female murmured something about beer. A small chuckle escaped his mouth, and he turned to the two arrivals. "I'm Valentine, student nurse. Been lookin' after Mark for a little while. I take it you're friends, relations?"

THIS IS HOW IT'S GONNA BE
Val knew that he could transform into a panther, so that wasn't a shock. It was just the fact that he had been 100% sure he could control it. Apparently not...
As Ea arrived, Val scowled slightly. "Yeah, this was planned. I totally wanted to turn into a cat," he said, raising his brow slightly. As Esca arrived, however, his attitude changed completely after she gave him a rather... strange look.
The male shifted - it wasn't a gesture of being uncomfortable, more one of not actually knowing what to do in this situation. He blushed and stared at the ground. Why was he getting flustered all of a sudden? "Thanks honey," he finally mocked, looking up.

Finally, a situation Val could deal with.
"I'll have to find another name," he grinned, although it seemed sort of... distracted. Cos, yeah, he was distracted. By Esca.

Val grinned. Firefighters were cool. Yep, they were.
As Mark woke, Val smiled towards him and looked over at the two gathered around. "Can I get you guys anything? Hot drinks aren't allowed on the wards, but soft drinks..." he trailed off, shrugging slightly.

THIS IS HOW IT'S GONNA BE
Val spoke up, although he was unsure as to the real answer. He would say what Mark wanted to hear.
"Yeah, he's good."

THIS IS HOW IT'S GONNA BE
Yeah, Val thought, it really is. Especially when Esca is the one getting all beat up about it.
At the whole leader mention, Valentine laughed. It was a loud, but somewhat melodic sound that escaped his mouth. "Slowly taking over the world."

THIS IS HOW IT'S GONNA BE
Val almost jumped.
Almost.
However, he had become used to one thing as a nurse - the complete unexpected happening. Although people did tend to bake others goods... they didn't tend to yell about it. He was tempted to ask the newest arrival to calm down, but then realised that they were actually in a private room. He smiled gently, before heading off.
Val came back in a few minutes with a cup of water, a jug and some polystyrene cups.

THIS IS HOW IT'S GONNA BE
Crap, Val didn't actually know what to do. He'd followed Esca out, unsure of what she was doing - especially this close to the birth.
He arrived shortly after the first kid was delivered, a look of shock upon the panther's face. Yep, he was worried.
"Esca, are you ok? Do you need anything? Do the kids need anything? Do you want medicine?" he garbled, all four questions coming out as an uncharacteristic flustered murmur.

As the leader and Kate arrived, the male grinned. "Thanks guys, this wasn't really supposed to happen," he said, shrugging slightly.

"I'm refusing to kiss your ugly mugs," the panther groaned as he arrived, smirking slightly. He knew who he would want to meet under here, but... she wasn't here.

THIS IS HOW IT'S GONNA BE
Val had been away for an hour. One, single hour. Within that space, he'd managed to get rather drunk.
The black panther staggered back to the clan, grinning to himself as he caught the glances of other people around him.

Val shot the male a sympathetic smile. He'd never been in a clan war, but he was immortal and had seen his fair share of conflict within his family. Most of the time, he was the cause of it too. Turning back to the conversation, Valentine debated about whether to tell Ivylee this - he might do, after all, it wasn't really gossip. Mere information.
"Never been to the Exiles," he continued the conversation, frowning slightly.

Val turned to Esca - crap, yep, she was definitley here. "Well, if you're complaining so much..." he said, grinning and raising his eyebrows.

Val calmed slightly at Esca's command, but the panther remained uneasy around the kits. He didn't know if she was going to have any more, what was really happening? He sat down, and sighed, staring at the small creatures. "Do they have names?" he asked, choking slightly.

//SCREAMING I JUST READ THE DEAN THREAD ahgjddddddddddd and damn quit playing with val's feelings XD
Val grinned, although he was hella nervous. "Ya know what ya do under mistletoe?" he asked, faking naivety, his grin spreading quite a bit. He didn't really know why the hell he was doing this, but... it felt good. Natural, even.
Oh crap... no, no, no. He'd done it again.

// screams this started as a stalker relationship omg
She understood, which was good for both of them. Val braced himself somewhat - not noticeably - as she stepped forwards and...
The panther smiled into it, leaning back after a small while. Damn, that had felt good.
"So, huh, wow," he said finally, sort of at a loss of words. The familiar smirk was still upon his face, and he gave Esca a subtle wink.

Val had been able to smell blood from quite a way away, and had naturally approached the scene with some form of sick curiosity. He wanted to know what was happening in the cave, and stepped inside to follow Newt and Felix.
The smell of blood met the panther's nose immediately, and he looked around to find the source. Valentine's jaw dropped and his heart pounded.
Esca. She was dead.
A confused sigh exited his mouth, and the panther took a step back. What? She can't be dead.
Upon seeing the wolf in the corner, Val charged towards them. "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO HER?"

Val didn't know what he felt as Bravo - the father, he presumed - approached, although he knew it wasn't anything good. Panic mixed with anger and he tried extremely hard to keep his mouth shut.
