[size=9]He hadn't been doing anything in particular when the retriever appeared, just sorting some feathers he had found earlier. They were sorted by color and length, taking up a small chunk of the area. He was particularly fond of a small blue jay feather a kit had discovered earlier, tucking it underneath a rock. "Huh? Oh no, you didn't interrupt anything! Did you need something?"

[size=9]Not expecting to get thrown off, the fox went crashing into the tree. This didn't seem to deter it though, and it started to limp towards the wolf hoping to intimidate him. If this didn't work it would probably lunge towards the neck as a final resort. "We can't just kill her!" He reasoned, "She has kits." If signaled, Newt would aim for the fox's other back leg.

[size=9]One on one chats were pretty uncomfortable due to his lack of knowledge when it came to many things. Once he commented on the weather and asked how their day was, he ran out of topics, and was left to awkwardly twiddle his thumbs in silence. Even when talking about fauna he was still nervous, thinking that he was boring them. "A nature walk?" He questioned. "Of course! Where did you want to go?" Each area had different creatures, so it all depended on what you were most interested in.

[size=9]He stepped out the door and onto the pavement, scanning the trees for any signs of owls. Cupping his hands together, he started to making a soft hooting noise every couple of seconds. It was something he had learned from his mom, and found it useful when bird watching. Every once in a while he would mix in a mouse squeak and nibbling noises just to make sure.

[size=9]Herbs? It wasn't his field, but interesting none the less. He often used them for pain relief or as a calming method, so they weren't too unfamiliar. "Alright, lead the way." It was nice to spend some time away from camp, well, more then usual. He often was away doing one thing or another.

[size=9]Ah, that made more sense! It made him feel slightly embarrassed that he didn't know this already, but happy that he had learned something new. "Sorry." He said with a chuckle. "You think I would know something like that." No matter how much he considered himself familiar with the subject, he was still pretty young. Knowledge seemed to come with age after all. "Well, you can never be too careful. Sometimes curiosity gets the best of people." He probably would've tried to touch one just to see what would happen. "Have you seen one before?"

//you learn something new every day!

[size=9]He had to admit that it was nice to get out, even for a short period. Nature didn't judge you based on how you spoke, dressed, acted, anything of the sort. It was just there for everyone to enjoy. He was snapped out of his thoughts as Hudson spoke, turning around to hear him better. Like he said, there did seem to be some sort of commotion happening inside, and a rather noisy one at that. "Hopefully nothing too bad happened."

[size=9]The next few moments seemed to happen in slow motion. As Croc's body stopped moving, he found himself tackling the fox to the ground. "Avada Kedavra!" He yelled, and a green flash of light appeared, piercing the vixen in the chest. After a moment of silence, it fell dead to the ground. Ignoring the bile that was building up, he quickly ran over to where the timber wolf was lying, tears starting to run down his cheeks. "I-I'm so sorry."

[size=9]Spin the bottle, another name for making a fool out of yourself, especially if the person you were kissing didn't like you. Everybody seemed to have drank to an extent though, so there was the chance that no one would remember. He joined the other three in the circle, trying to adjust his hair. Sometime during the night it had transformed into a birds nest, each chunk going in a different direction.

[size=9]"At least you have some. There are only pool and marsh frogs where I come from. Toads too." England wasn't known for it's amphibians, mostly for mammals such as foxes and sheep. What types of creatures did Hudson see while growing up? Probably different than what he was used to. "Defense mechanisms like that are really neat! Not everyone can secrete poison. Skunks and turtles are also examples. Being able to produce sulfur containing chemicals is something special. Don't you wish you could do something like that? Like transform into another animal to see what they're life is like?"

[size=9]He let out a squeak of surprise as the timber wolf sat up, jumping back a good couple inches. "You're, you're not dead?" He didn't know what bothered him more, the fact that his friend just came back from death, or that he had died more than once before. Newt stepped forward to embrace him in a hug, still slightly nervous from what happened. "How are you alive? N-now don't get me wrong, I'm happy that you're breathing, but how?"

Ahh, I just love everything about her! She would be a great face/voice claim.

[size=9]"A moose?" He questioned. The other two options made more sense, but moose had pretty cool antlers, so he saw what the other man was saying. "I can imagine you as a moose. Eating berries and growing out your neck fur. Huh, can moose grow beards?" He was getting off topic, but imagining Hudson as a moose was interesting.

[size=9]He was about to comment on the weirdness of the name when a twig snapped somewhere in front of them. "Did you hear that?" Perhaps someone had gone out before them. It was more likely to be an animal, but wouldn't he have smelled something either way?

[size=9]With a small nod to his companion, he started to crawl towards the noise, stopping when he heard more noise. Peeking his head over a bush, he was rather surprised to see a baby deer. It appeared to be limping, one of it's back legs bent at an unnatural angle. He looked back at Hudson, and slightly frowned. If he were to call out or try to go back to the retriever, the deer might bolt and further injure itself, but he wasn't sure what the best approach would be. Perhaps he could cast a spell from here? There was a chance it could miss though.
