Alexa stretched her legs as she woke up from the nice nap she was having under a large oak tree. She had heard a noise that had woken her from her slumber. The femme yawned as she adjusted hat she was wearing, a black beanie with the word HONEY printed on it in bold, pink lettering. Sitting up from her resting place under her oak tree, she observed the surroundings around her. Around her flowers were starting to bloom, roses, tulips and lots and lots of daffodils. It was a wonderful sight which is why Alexa chose to rest their after her hectic week.
Looking around, she decided to stay there for a bit while she relaxed after her little rest, or was it a deep sleep? Alexa didn't know any more. All she knew was that she remembered coming there to star-gaze and that was it. She must have fallen asleep. But what had woken her? Alexa looked around until she spotted the culprits. Birds. Again! They seemed to be everywhere and although Alexa loved them they always seemed to be spring in on her most private moments and running away from her when she actually wanted to talk to them.
Alexa loved spring, of course Summer was her favorite season. Spring came in a close second tied with Winter and Autumn. Yes, she knew that was all the seasons but she just couldn't decide between any of them. She only knew that Summer was her favorite. But, Alexa loved spring because of the flowers that were blooming, the mild weather that didn't make her too hot or too cold, the animals alive and well and just everything. Plus, most people seemed to be in better moods when Spring happened. Probably because rain ruined their fur.
Alexa hadn't been staying at her hut recently, it reminded her too much of Dylan. They had shared their hut but then he just left and she just couldn't remind herself of him. It was too painful. She constantly asked herself it if was her fault he left. She was always teasing him and what if he found it too much? What if he was tired saving her from trouble? Would he have told her? They usually told each other everything but if that was true then Alexa would know why he left her and Blizzardclan. It was all too confusing, not having someone to guide her anymore. Not having someone to go to if anyone was mean to her. Not having the guidance figure her indecisive and stupid brain needed. Dylan had taught her most things in life and even though she understood the world a bit better she knew she still needed him to be there for her.
When she was promoted to trainee she went to share the news with Dylan only to remember he wasn't there anymore. No one celebrated with her because it wasn't a big deal to anyone else, to her it was they start of a happy and successful life. She knew he wasn't dead, the tigress knew she would be able to feel it when he died, so where the heck was he? Shaking her head, she tried to banish thoughts of Dylan from her mind. She would be ok without him, the femme had friends and people to guide her to make it all alright again. She hoped.
Walking away from her tree, she turned around only to see Pixel flying from it. That reminded her, Pixel had invited her to a tea party that day and she had totally lost track of time. Well, hopefully she wasn't late. The femme didn't think she was because she had just seen Pixel and she knew Pixel wouldn't be late to her own tea party. The tigress started the long walk to the place they arranged to walk, her ears pricking up at any sign of sound which indicated she might be near.
Alexa was glad that she was beginning to be more social, even though she knew everyone and liked them, she didn't have any best friends. Friends she could tell anything to and share secrets and feelings. Everyone liked her, but liked everyone else better than her. Alexa tried to join in with the group activities but it was always hard when insecurities and anxieties took her over from the inside and she had no one to tell. Usually, she was the one who had loads of friends. Well, compared to Dylan anyway which always, in a weird way, made her feel better about herself and her life.
What was with all the negative thought today? Alexa was usually so bright and happy and she didn't know what was happening. Why was she so down. Alexa frowned, this was ridiculous. The femme decided to list all the things that she was happy for. Another thing Dylan taught her to do when she had been sad in the past.
"I've recently been promoted to trainee! That was exciting. I am alive and healthy. I have no one that hates me. I have wonderful friends here, they are all very lovely..." she carried on but trailed off when she saw Pixel and her tea party all set up. Luckily she wasn't late so that was a relief.
"Hey Pixel! How are you today honey?" she asked, before noticing that Pixel was asleep. Hoping she hasn't waken the angel she sat down on the seat next to her, grabbing a chocolate covered pastry and taking a small bite, Being careful not to get any on her soft and silky fur. Usually she didn't particularly care about getting her fur dirty but she had washed it they day before and she wasn't going to do anything to ruin it. Carrying on eating, she looked over at Pixel. She had seen Pixel flying earlier and had to admit she was very jealous. Olive had once made her fly once and it was one of the best experience in her life. The tigress hoped one day she would be able to fly or do something cool but for now she was content working her way up from the bottom and having fun along the way.
Feeling a bit thirsty from her chocolate pastry she went to grab a little tea. Feeling a bit selfish for enjoying the wonderful food and drink when no one else had arrived and Pixel was asleep she decided to wake the sleeping angel.
"Pixel... hey pixel. You awake?" she said gently, shaking her ever so slightly.
