— ☆*:・☽ I WOULD DIE FOR YOU!Buddingpaw stared warily down at the cat whom returned the nervous look perfectly. Neither of them had broken eye contact for what felt like hours as Buddingpaw willed himself to make the first move. The other feline looked like he was about to be sick at the idea. Neither of them, judging by their stiff shoulders and wide eyes, didnt want to even be so close to the water. Which was a funny thought, since the other cat was inside the water looking up. Buddingpaw assumed his reflection wanted to get out just as much as he would if he was in their(his?) place.
Another moment of staring, another moment of figitting, and finally Buddingpaw groaned and sat back. Placing his white paws over his eyes, the young male sighed in frustration as his ebony tail swung back and forth impatiently.
He was seven moons old, healthy, relatively smart but certainly always willing to learn - a loyal Riverclan apprentice.
So why, dear Starclan watching in the heavens above, was HE SO SCARED OF WATER?!
Looking back at his watery reflection, Buddy frowned at it's expression of miserable defeat. "Its just a bunch of tiny drops of water," he tried to reassure it, "the body naturally floats, so its not like im going to fall right to the bottom!" taking a step forward, closer to the rippling blue-grey liquid, he ignored his reflection's look of terror as he puffed out his chest, "I can do this!" He sucked in a breath, then another, and took another step forward -
And let out a yelp of horror as the cold tongue of the stream touched his paw. "I CANT DO THIS I CANT DO THIS -" He squealed, tumbling backwards before promptly tripping over his scrambling ivory paws. He tumbled head-over-heels until he was caught by a bramble bush.
Thorns digging through his short white pelt, holding him upsidedown like a schoolyard bully searching for chage, Buddingpaw sighed. He gazed at the water, which glittered mockingly at him.

— ☆*:・☽ I WOULD DIE FOR YOU!The apprentice wriggled in the bush, trying to disentangle his short fur from the scratching briar as best he could but seemed only to manage to twist a bit to the side - and possibly furthering the amount of scratches on his back. With a light sniffle, the tom prepared himself for this new way of life - the first cat to die in a bush - when the sound of pausteps and a sympathetic voice made him flinch. Glancing up as the silver-blue warrior, Rainwatcher approached, Buddingpaw hung his head (if that was even possible when currently upside-down) in shame, "I kn-know..." he whimpered, pitiful as the older tom righted him and pulled him from the bush. Wincing as he rolled his sore shoulders, the male glanced over at the water and twitched his black tail sadly, "B-but its so cold and s-slippery - I could trip and crack my head o-or the water could d-drag me down and away or..." he stammered, shaking slightly at the paranoid thoughts.
Ever since he was a child, Buddy had never took a liking to water. Always over-thinking things, Buddingpaw often frightened himself over every little thing, but nothing held more secret dangers than the rushing river that trademarked his clan. I mean, who knew what kind of dangers water held! If you couldn't see your paws, you couldn't see the danger beneath them! Plus there was hypothermia! That there was only one of a hundred ways the liquid death could take you! He shivered, rubbing at his cold paw which had touched the colder water.
He lowered his ears further, feeling the tips burn along with his cheeks as the medicine cat laughed at him. Nothing he didn't deserve, seeing as he was a pitiful drypaw. Shuffling said paws, the apprentice sighed lightly at her advice, "I-I dunno..." he mumbled, already thinking of the hundred and one ways he could get hurt in just ankle-deep water. Just being IN water was a cause for great alarm! As previously mentioned, there was the chance of slipping, which would lead to falling into the water, floundering about would then ensue which would attract predators like a pike maybe and then they'd tear you apart while you drowned being carried downstream and no one would ever find your mangled corpse!
How was he the only one who thought about those very possible dangers?!Face turning bright scarlet beneath his ivory cheeks as Shalas and Heatherpounce looked unsympathetically down at him, the apprentice lowered his head further. He didn't much like being surrounded by everyone like this. Their judgmental staring was draining! which promptly made his far-too-speedy mind bring up the dangers of being the center of a group of cats. Communal diseases, the very low chance of him surviving if they decided to attack - or more likely push him into the water, death by humiliation too probobly.
Rubbing his head nervously, the kid finally groaned soundlessly and got to his feet, "o-oh alright I'll try...again..." he said in a squeaky whimper as he inched back towards the water. He looked into the water, over his shoulder at his clan-mates, then back at the liquid death and sobbed internally. He thought then, as he reached a paw tentatively into the water, another peril of being in a crowd.Peer pressure.

Pipitpaw !?
[center]She squinted up at the sky.
Sometimes she wished she had been born blind. That sun was HORRIBLE. Sighing, she rubbed at her shoulders, the pale white fur unhelpful in keeping her sensitive skin from burning beneath it. She hated the sun. She hated the day, really. Lifting her ice blue gaze with their red pupils, the albino gazed longingly in the general direction of the observatory. She wished the sun would set soon so she could go up there. Up there and away from the heat and the bright light - where being quiet wasn't odd and she could map out stars rather than words. Anything would be better than having to scrawl a bunch of rushed letters over the notepad that hung from her neck. She also very much hated that notepad, but she had long since missed her chance to learn how to speak. She should be greatful she could read lips, but still. It was frustrating.
Turning her gaze back to the clearing, the usually nocturnal apprentice yawned soundlessly before rising to her paws. Well, if she had to suffer through the afternoon, she may as well get something to eat...Her eyes brightened at the idea of possibly catching her mother and seeing what the great leader was up to. She snickered quietly as she recalled her time as a child, following her mom around like a lost puppy. Back when she'd brave any time of day if t meant she'd get to spend one more second with her ma.hidden scrolling | starmie.*

Pipitpaw !?
[center]Pipitpaw perked her useless ears as she spotted her mother's familiar yellow pelt flash as she charged through the territory. Out on her usual walk, she had carefully chosen her trail that morning so as to avoid her clan mates. Not that she didn't like them, it just got overwhelming when anyone tried to start a conversation and she had to fight to keep up with her pencil and notepad. The perks of being deaf meant you weren't the best at small talk.
Anyway, she hadn't expected others, especially not her mom, but judging by that momentary glimpse of her expression - something was up. Pip hesitated a moment, knowing she'd be extremely useless in a battle...or, well, she had yet to ever be in a battle so that wasn't certain but...Well she could be! Shaking her head, Pip noted that if she just walked away now she could be leaving her mother to face something potentially very dangerous.
So, with a soundless intake of air, the deaf albino apprentice bounded after her mother, following her scent with her trusty pink nose.Pushing her way through the undergrowth, she came to the scene of a furious looking Benedict and a confused and equally angry Blazestar. Pipit didn't bother with scribbling down a 'whats going on' as she was very certain her mother had already asked that. Instead, the apprentice just hung back and swept her gaze around, confused...
When she could have sworn she saw something lurking in the shadows...

Pipitpaw !?
[center]Like any other disabled creature, with one sense gone came a more refinement to the others remaining. For example, her twitching pink nose. Catching Marigold's scent as she approached, and feeling the gentle vibrations of nearing pawsteps, Pipit glanced in her direction. She frowned lightly when she caught the other molly staring at her. Not uncommon, of course, being quite the unusual sight of too-pale and too-pink around the eyes, muzzle, ears and belly...but still. She felt her cheeks begin to bloom red with self-consciousness as she quickly sat down and pulled out her trusty pencil from it'd usual place around her neck. Before she could scribble down 'may I help you?', the other she-cat began to move her mouth in greeting.
Reading her lips as easily as a cat hearing the words, Pip scribbled quickly in her pad before brandishing it to the other. "Good day Marigoldpaw, is there something you need?" she said via pencil and paper, her pink-blue eyes shinning with the usual nervousness of a cat not wanting to be looked at for too long. Or spoken to for too long. It was an embarrassing thing when she couldn't catch up to mouths with eyes and pens...Normally others would get frustrated with her, and nothing was worse than watching someone huff soundlessly before leaving her mid-scribble.Would Marigold soon do the same?

Pipitpaw !?
[center]
Pipitpaw smiled as her mother approached her, childishly happy to be protected, before turning her pink and blue hues over the scenery again. What could have put such a nervous look on her mother's face, though? Squinting into the darkness of the undergrowth, Pip twitched her unhearing ears as she leaned close...Only to jump back in startlement at the sudden appearance of a stranger. Instincts kicking in, she quickly read the way his mouth moved, before frowning. Had she somehow mis-read? What did 'Shrenga irskatamus' mean?! "Who are you!?" she scribbled quickly on her pad, before brandishing it boldly at the creature. For a deaf apprentice, she sure was brave.

✎----~ Pipitpaw, similarly to a couple of other party-goers, didn't feel very comfortable in a crowded environment. Keeping to the side lines, her note-book bumping against her chest, almost in unison with her hammering heart, the young albino nervously looked around. She hated parties. It was never fun, as everyone danced to music that were only confusing vibrations to Pip. Worst parts were when someone tried to make conversation - especially an ally who did not know of her disability - and watch their friendly eyes go wide in surprise as the only way she could communicate was via staring really hard at their moving mouths and scribbling furiously at her notepad. Parties were not meant for the deaf.
But she was here, awkwardly sitting beside one of the glowstick buckets as she watched Featherpaw get surrounded by a bunch of wide-eyed cats. She didn't need to read their lips to know they were complimenting the permanently young male. Not to her surprise, as, looking around, her own breath was taken away. The glowing ribbons and the decorations - the fish! He sure knew how to throw a party!
She smiled, happy for the ginger tabby and his accomplishment. The reason she had ignored her reluctance and actually came was because she wanted to support him. Looking at the bucket, she pulled out a pink glow stick. Snapping it until it bubbled into luminescence, she ducked her head under the cheap string loop. Admiring her new necklace, the molly smiled, then looked back over at Featherpaw.
On her note-pad, which was essentially a big sign on her chest, it read, "You did a great job, Fluff-Butt"GENERAL:

✎----~ Pipitpaw had also been asleep when the ground began to shake like mad. For a cat who normally relied upon vibrations in the ground in order to prepare for an approaching threat, this was a nightmare come to life. The first thought that came to her head was a stampede, which shot her jumping out of bed, only to stumble and fall as the ground trembled beneath her. Terrified, the molly struggled to stand up, but it was difficult as she herself began to shake with fear. Scribbling a quick shicken scrawl of 'whats going on' that looked more like 'vJats paimg" she soon gave up and just crawled out and over to the gathering cats.
Spotting her mother, she felt the edge of her anxiety soften in relief that she appeared to be alright. But with all this shaking, it was difficult to read what her mother was saying. She felt more deaf than ever - and thats saying something! Crouched low to the quaking ground near the back of the crowd, Pip did her best to keep calm. She was failing miserably as her eyes began to water.GENERAL:

✎----~ Peeking out of her den to find cats gathered around Blazestar, Pip immediately assumed there was a gathering. She tilted her head to the side, curious, as she padded over. She made she to pick her way carefully around all the unfamiliar faces, nodding politely to them though her shyness showed painfully clearly through her awkward skirting. Spotting Featherpaw, she quickly made her way over and sat down near, not wanting to intrude on his personal space if he didn't wish for it so. Similarly to him, her pink and blue gaze wandered up to her mother, wanting to know what this meeting would be about.
