Herritt had never properly interacted with or been witness to any official interactions Windclan before but, there was always a time for firsts and he guessed that this first would be a very political one. The youth came to stand besides his sister, absently brushing up against the older canine as he drew to a halt besides the samoyed. His ears twitched slightly, very vague thoughts of something that he had identified as the 'Libra Alliance' catching his attention as they resonated softly from his older sibling and it took all of his willpower to not tilt his head up at her in curiosity. He would have opened his mouth then and was certainly tempted to do so when the new Windclan leader spoke up about how Ivylee had, to put it rather bluntly in his own words, attempted to backstab Windclan in a way for the sake of Bloodclan. He did not agree with what she had done and could understand Windclan's reaction to her choices and was extremely tempted to speak out with questions about the nature of the situation. He remained silent however, opting to not pipe up about matter that did not really involve him. Of course, anything that had anything to do with Riverclan was obviously his business however, he knew that this current matter was better suited to be dealt with by the high positions of the clan. That was something that he could respect, understand and allow. After all, despite all that he knew and was aware of, he still had quite a little bit to learn about clans and the ways that they interacted with each other.

★ HERRITT XERSES - i want you who wants me again
Herritt would have been in opposition to Eddie's thoughts if he felt mean enough to absorb any of the other male's ideas. After all, he personally was quite a harsh, blunt, businesslike individual. At least, he used to be before he had started to open up his mental channels to take in the emotions of those around him. He acted much different to how children his age were supposed to act and did not think that it was wrong for adult beings to also oppose the expectations thought of them. "Konnichiwa" the youth muttered softly with an idle flick of his ear, pale amber gaze trained primarily on the stranger as he contained any reaction to the stumble that he had witnessed in fear of being rude. It seemed that the male he had come to stand beside had different ideas on such things but Herritt was far too tired to start up an argument about their behaviour towards potential joiners and allies. The most that the blue brindled greyhound could do was cast him a very brief side glance before focusing his attention back onto Mariana, a very delicate smile painted across his features. -

★ HERRITT XERSES - i want you who wants me again
Herritt could not disguise the confused shock that had flooded over him upon seeing what seemed to be Eddie interacting with a rabbit. He had always seen them to be a rather fiesty, seemingly unfiltered individual. This was completely different to what he was used to witnessing and this change was completely bizarre to the canine. He let out a gentle scoff in disbelief, the pup softly shaking his head to clear his mind as he approached the apparent youth. See, Herritt had never been that close to Newt when the older male had been around in Riverclan meaning that although the slightly changes such as the other male's voice and eye colour did not go unnoticed, he did not see it his place to comment in case they were a personal choice made by the other youth. He did not want any further aggression despite the irritation that sparked up in the form of dying embers within his chest every time he thought about their initial encounter. "Eddie? Um, what are you doing?" the blue brindled greyhound pup inquired with the very faint outlines of a frown lacing his features. His pale amber gaze swept over the other riverclanner, drinking in their appearance as he cast the rabbit besides them a cautious glance, being careful with his movements and words as to not frighten it off. -

"Konnichiwa" he confirmed with a gentle smile, pale amber gaze fixed on the newcomer as he tilted his head back to properly be able to look at her. "It means hello in my native language, japanese." the youth explained at the sight of her clear confusion. He knew that not everyone understood some of the things that he said which was why he tried to keep his words to a minimum but, sometimes he could not help it, especially when it came to basic greets such as ohayō gozaimasu or oyasuminasai. It was just natural to him and he often found himself having to remind himself that although it was a natural thing for him, it was certainly not natural for others. So far the only other being capable of holding a conversation with him in his mother tongue was Crown and they rarely really had the time to talk properly which was saddening. That, and all they ever wanted to talk about or think about was games and similiar things whereas Herritt was not as knowledgeable about such things."Ah, right. It's nice to meet you Mariana. My name is Herritt. Herritt Xerses" the blue brindled greyhound pup added with a light nod of his head, glancing around at his currently gathered clanmates to see who was around him, the current overall buzz of neutrality seeping into him and, luckily, allowing him to take his own course of action at dealing with the situation. No one was overly positive and no one was overly negative either. It was the perfect balance for him and he found himself smiling more than his usually would as he cast his attention back onto the newcomer, friendly glimmer held within his light golden gaze.

is that,,,, kai i spy?It was spring time. Herritt was certain of that. So, he was, for a few moments extremely confused when he noticed something very out of place near the border of Riverclan. Almost immediately after coming into the range of the stranger on their borders, the blue brindled greyhound pup felt a major sense of unease grip him, icy tendrils wrapping around his limbs and freezing him into place. Herritt blinked, casting his gaze very briefly to the paws of the stranger, instantly taking note of the frost laden ground surrounding the other male. His pale amber gaze lingered on the frozen blades of grass and plants that had formerly been so vibrant and alive that were now encased in a layer of icy frost. It was almost saddening and would have brought sorrow to the youth's heart if he was capable of producing his own genuine emotions. However, he was not able to do so and was therefore just left to observe as the greenery beneath their paws was brought to early graves.
"Konnichiwa" he muttered softly, visible breath flooding from his parted maw in accompaniment to his words. He lifted his focus up from the ground, now turning his attention solely onto the stranger as he hummed his usual soft greeting. There was no guarantee that this being would be able to speak his language and there was even less of a chance of them being able to respond to him. However, he did not comment further, his gaze not moving from the frigid individual before him as he attempted to come up with a more logical reason behind the chill that had set into his mind. He was almost certain that they were the reason behind it but he did not want to jump to conclusions when any one of his clanmates could have been the cause of his current mental imbalance, the mixture of curiosity mixed with something a lot colder proving to not settled down well with the youth.

//ahhh i knew it ;^)also wtf is my muse i didn't mean to type this muchDamare
The word rang clearly through his mind, ears twitching lightly as he took in the words that had been spoken. It was familiar and resonated within his head for more than a few seconds and he did his best to take those few moments to be able to get a good look at the winged, frosty being. Herritt drew in a slow, steady breath as he met the analytical gaze of the stranger, their eyes boring into him as they examined him in silence. He could not deny that their gaze upon him was an unsettling sensation, as if there were faint lasers skimming across the surface of his skin, however he did his best not to react openly to the pressure that he felt, meeting their gaze with his own softer one. The response that he received was something that had been partially unexpected to him however, it did not come to be that much of a shock to him seeing that the sharper word that had been icily spoke earlier was also a recognisable one to the canine. His ears twitched slightly and he did his best to avert his gaze to not make it look as if he was just staring, choosing to not at first say anything in response seeing that there was nothing really for him to reply to until they spoke once more.
"I could show you back to camp then if you like, unless Mariana wishes to do so" the youth hummed, regarding the being before him. He could feel the beginnings of irritation flaring up in the atmosphere, specifically around the one who had identified themselves as being called Yuki. Yuki Break. It was a last name that was very vaguely familiar to the youth however, he was unable to recall where exactly he had heard it before and decided to not comment on it, instead paying more attention to the other male's words and actions."You can call me Herritt" he added as a softer afterthought to his initial words in response to their own brief introductory words, fictional brows quirked upwards slightly as he glanced between the spanish speaking riverclanner and their newest, japanese speaking addition, lapsing into silent curiosity after his to the point, curt almost, introduction. He could tell that this being was one who did not enjoy listening to things such as long winded greetings and introductions so the youth did his best to keep his own words to a minimum, pale amber gaze settling on Yuki as he did so.
"Hey, knock it off." the canine snapped with a flick of his ear, casting a sharp glance in Waterstorm's direction as he watched her reaction to his words. Of course, Yuki had probably been a tad too harsh but, it seemed that the sharp, icy edge to him came as a part of his overall package and honestly, he did not see it to be that big of a deal. At least, it was not that major for them to start flinging their icy powers around like it was nothing. At this rate, the entirety of Riverclan would be frozen into some kind of Iceclan which was not exactly what the pup wished to see. He was not exactly defending the older male however, in his eyes it was not right for there to be the starts of conflict, or at least rivalry right on the borders as soon as the other male had decided to join. If they wanted to bicker and fight it out then they could do that. But, he did not really want them to show each other up right off of the bat. He really didn't get why others could not just let things go sometimes. The frustration in the air irked him and was perhaps what had actually spurred on his words more than his overall emotions. After all, his decisions were mainly shaped by the feelings and thoughts of those around him and the current apparent tension was enough to set him off.

"Ki o tsukete, Crown" Herritt muttered with caution clearly evident within his pale amber gaze as he peered with narrowed eyes at Crown. The blue brindled greyhound had been rather apprehensive in his approach, head lowered as he regarded the scene unfolding before him. He could instantly think of all of the different things that could potentiality go wrong and he could not help but tap into the apparent anxiety in the air around him. He drew his tongue nervously over his lips as he watched the older being move around with the knives balanced precariously on them, thoughts of the event being 'fun' invading his mind as he caught bits of the feline's thoughts in his own mental channel. He would have assure them that it would no longer be fun if the found themselves impaled with one of their knifes sticking out of them and even at that thought he found himself internally cringing. However, Herritt was far from being a killjoy and despite really wanting to stop his distant relative from what they were currently doing, he did not have it in his heart to do anything more than just issue a very light warning to them. If she chose to heed his cautious words was an entirely other story.translations

Herritt had been on a simple stroll when he noticed something was off, a strange scent flooding his senses and drawing curiosity almost immediately out of the youth. He slipped off of the path that he had been walking along, noticing the larger canine, ears angled towards them as he took in their words. They had spoken in languages completely foreign to the japanese youth however, that did not discourage him and he found a spark of intrigue sparking within him at the sound of the unfamiliar voice spouting unfamiliar words. As a 'naturally' inquisitive being, he could not help but find himself subconsciously drawn to the scene. Very slightly surprised that he was the first one to appear, the male found the outline of a very delicate frown forming on his face. It seemed that for one he had been one of the firsts to stumble upon a stranger. Not like it was that big of a deal, Herritt was capable of taking care of himself quite well. "Konnichiwa. Welcome to Riverclan, how may I help you?" the youth hummed, his pale amber gaze swiftly skimming over the ethiopian wolf as he spoke, his eyes concluding their brief analysis back on the male's face. "What languages were you speaking just now by the way?" the blue brindled greyhound added with a curious tilt of his head, fictional brows furrowed slightly as he awaiting their response to his words. He was genuinely interested in what had just been spoken, not bothers to actually experiment with the words in his mind to figure it out for himself which was something that he would have been able to quickly do. However, if he used his mind to figure everything about everyone out then there would have been no point in him actually talking. So, he waited patiently instead for the inevitable reply to his two inquiries, head tilted back slightly so he could get a good look at the larger canine. -

"Mono? Or well, Oreki now, right?" the japanese canine hummed, his pale amber gazze widened ever so slightly as he came to stand besides Arcane, head tilted to the side slightly. He could not deny that there was an internal sense of gladness within him although he could not tell whether the feeling was his own or the thoughts and emotions of the Riverclanners currently around him. He would have liked to think that it was his own but there was no guarantee for that and he found himself therefore choosing to not act upon it openly. There was a flicker of concern quick to glow within his soft golden gaze however as he took note of their apparently unhealthy state. "You do not look too good, is there anything I can do to help you?" the child added, his gaze swiftly becoming narrowed as he pointedly regarded the state that she was in, as if challenging her to oppose his offer to provide his assistance. The mention of his oneechan not really being around anymore caused a strange sensation to bubble up from within him. It was strange, he felt as if it was suppose to be sorrow at that idea however, the near emotionless youth found that he could only really feel a bizarrely comforting emptiness. He loved Ivylee more than anything but, perhaps she had gone somewhere that was better for her. Of course, there was the strong chance that she was in fact just not really around much, relaxing since her decision to stop being leader. Enjoying her retirement as best as she could. Whatever it was, as long as it made her happy, he found that he was able to accept that and not really go about bothering her. He cast the leader a brief smile at the thoughts, the expression one not too genuine seeing that such emotions were something that he was not exactly completely capable of but it was the thought that counted behind the action. He peered at the older male for a few moments before hardened amber eyes fixed themselves back onto the smoker, the expression faltering on his lips as he did so, quickly being reminded of their current condition. He was glad to have them back, he had quite liked them before, but they did not seem to be alright and that worried the youth.

"Rosewater" the child greeted with an intial dip of his head in greeting, considering only providing that single word as his own greeting and introduction. Perhaps he could get her to try and guess who he was however, that would just be stupid and it would only prove to embarrass himself which was something that the child did not want to happen. He drew to a halt a safe distance from the female, not too close to make himself look like a clingy youth but not too far to make himself come across as an anti-social brat. "I am Herritt, I believe that we met once or twice before but that was it. It is nice to see you again though, how have you been doing?" the blue brindled greyhound hummed as he regarded the white feline with pale amber coloured eyes, gaze flickering with mild curiosity. From what he could remember, she had been one of those who was part of the medical staff in Riverclan and that slightly fascinated him. He had not really spoken too much to any of those capable of healing and although he personally did not see the appeal in such a job, he knew that it was important in a group lifestyle and was determined to know more about such a thing despite not being the type who typically openly inquired about such things. He was content with simple greetings and exchanges for the time being. It was better than nothing, especially seeing that he did not know really anyone in Riverclan despite being around for quite a while now. -

The shaky attempt at a response in his native language brought a delicate smile to the lips of the young canine as he regarded the larger ethiopean wolf through bright pale amber eyes. He liked the fact that although they clearly did not know the language, they still had responded to him with a 'good morning' that the young male was able to understand. It was the apparent thought behind the attempt that meant something to the blue brindled greyhound. "Ah, you would like to join? That is something that I can gladly allow, welcome to Riverclan, Lars" the child hummed, ears twitching slightly as Bo spoke up from near him. He cast the older male a glance and a slight nod in the form of a wordless greeting, enjoying the refreshing wave of enthusiasm that they seemed to bring in their emotions wherever they went. It was delicious. His smile grew slightly into more of a grin like expression as he focused his attention back onto the joining canine. "My name is Herritt, by the way. It is certainly a pleasure to meet you, misutā" he added, swiftly reminding himself that it would be fitting to introduce himself to Lars who had introduced himself with no complaints and he therefore only saw it right to do the same. He was sure that it would be nice to have a new face around Riverclan despite him barely knowing his clanmates as it was.[ translation ]

"Something smells delightful" Herritt first remarked upon arriving on the scene, pale amber gaze landing with curiosity on the basket with the fabric pouches that he had assumed was where the aromatic scent was wafting from. It had been what had initially caught his attention however, he was quick to soon allow the familiar smell of Blizzardclan to wash over him, fictional brows raised slightly as soft gold eyes were cast onto the gift bearing individual. "Dōmo arigatō gozaimasu. Ah, I mean. Thank you for the gifts" the japanese child hummed, slipping up slightly as he spoke. It was not something uncommon for the youth to speak with such words however, he had been doing his best to stop himself from properly speaking because he knew that nearly everyone around him were english speak and although it meant that he had to think a little more seeing that he was not naturally a speaker of that language, the child believed that he had been coping with that quite well. He even cast the stranger a friendly little grin, Bo's presence stirring emotions such as eager excitement from within the youth's chest as he focused his attention properly on the stranger, waiting rather patiently for their response to his clanmate's words.[ translation ]
