Alice felt a little sorry for Mob, as he dropped the pebble hastily. She hadn't meant to offend him with a sigh. She was prepared to apologise again when he began to explain. She watched him curiously, brown eyes filled with wonder, as the blue aura enveloped the rock once again and it rose into the air. The cub still didn't understand exactly what the other feline was on about, but gave it a try anyway. "So..." She closed her eyes tightly, stretching her right paw in front of her. She pictured a glow inside of her, unsure of what he meant by core. To be safe, she went with blue like Mob, because she'd never noticed what colour objects glowed when she moved them. She stiffened, trying to focus her thoughts on the pebble now, but when she opened her eyes, it hadn't even budged. The child sighed again miserably, hoping she wouldn't get all upset again in front of Mob.
"What am I doing wrong?" Alice asked quietly. Maybe he could spot any mistakes she was making.

A blonde woman was seated on a park bench, in the shade of an old tree. It was no morning to be cooped up inside. February rarely granted a warm, mild day, and she planned to enjoy it. Her hair had been pulled back into a messy bun, stray strands waving gently in the cool breeze. Pale hazel eyes flicked left and right over the pages of a new book, propped up in her right hand. In her left, a purple flask, which she would sip from every few minutes.
Her gaze was only broken to hear the voice of a friend of hers. It was Mob, crouched across the road, speaking to a cat. The freckled woman would smile at the sight, standing up and sliding a bookmark between the pages. She adjusted a knitted blue neck warmer to keep beneatg her chin, and approached the man curiously.
"Hi, Mob," she called, waving shyly. "Making friends with the neighbourhood felines again?" she would tease lightly. Personally, she preferred bunnies, but in the city, there weren't very many.

Combat training? Alice, at three months, had had none. Though the idea intrigued the young cub nonetheless. It was bound to come in handy at some point, despite her age - say, an intruder broke in - she might be able to hold them for a moment until backup arrived. In her mind, at least. The sandy-furred child approached Oliver eagerly, tail flicking in anticipation of the session.

"Do you think - would I be allowed - to, um, join in?" the young girl questioned nervously.

Alice nodded firmly. She could do this. This time, she'd make it fly. The child closed her eyes once again - and then corrected herself, relaxing them. She raised her paw, keeping it somewhat limp in the air. She focused on the energy, felt it in her chest, and pictured the pebble beginning to glow. She opened her eyes just in time to see it shake violently and give a little hop, before the pale purple aura faded. "Did you see that?!" the cub exclaimed excitedly.

As much as Alice preferred to keep to herself and read, she was a child. And she loved games, whether she let it show or not. The cub would pad over reluctantly, seating herself a little ways away from Henry. Though she found his explanation long and daunting, it piqued her interest, and she was sure she'd get a grasp of it eventually.

"I'd - um - like to play," the child would state shyly, directing her gaze in the Labrador's general direction.

Obviously, one of the newer members of the clan, Alice had never before met this "Amaterasu Saburo". She felt a little left out, seeing as a lot of other members seemed acquainted with the male. Of course, she couldn't help that, but she could get to know the fellow now. The lion cub would approach curiously, observing the situation before seating herself. "Hi," she murmured, and then a little louder, "I'm Alice." She didn't feel obliged to say more. Amaterasu would probably be more interested in catching up with old friends than wasting time on a cub.

Goddess? The word caught the cub's curiosity and the child would approach the group gingerly. Ah, it appeared to be a game they were playing. She caught the words truth or dare from a nearby npc and seated herself off to the side, tail flicking contentedly. She supposed she was in a game mood, and it seemed self-explanatory, really. She only hoped she wasn't too late to join. "I'll play, too."

Alice couldn't say she'd ever heard of the Knights of Eden, but they sounded interesting. The leader seemed quite friendly, too, considering he had invited all of WindClan to a - what was it? - trust obstacle race event of some kind. The child arrived behind Atticus, offering the visitor a shy smile. She wasn't one for trust, but why not just this once? If she was allowed to go, she'd take the chance to meet the other clan or group. "Could I go?" Alice questioned quietly, eyeing the adults ahead of her.

"I like your name," a lion cub would state shyly, approaching the husky right behind Takumi. The child was working on her sense of smell, and upon coming across a foreign scent, decided to investigate. Alice would draw her tongue across her chest to hide her gaze, and then realise she hadn't introduce herself as Takumi did. Flustered, she spoke quickly, "I'm Alice. Um, welcome to WindClan." She noted the slight shake in Nora's voice, and pulled a light smile in her direction in the hopes of coaxing the girl.

It was great to have more children in WindClan. Alice had been hoping to get to know one or two of them, as there were few others her age in the clan. The cub, upon noticing the pebble one of the pups was fiddling with; was reminded of her lesson with Mob. She'd been practising her telekinesis oh-so-hard whenever she could, andat this point, if she focused on the object alone and nothing else, she could lift it. Alice would do just that, staring down the pebble in the hopes of making an impressive first impression. If she was successful, a purple glow would envelope the stone and it would slip from Mercy's paws, hovering in the air for a moment. It would quickly drop as Alice noticed the family gathered, and immediately assumed she was interrupting something. Oh, sugar. The cub would take a few steps back gingerly, gaze on the ground and head bowed in shame. "Sorry! I didn't mean to - was - am I interrupting something?"

    - - - - -

It was freezing. Despite her thick coat of fur, Alice seemed to feel the drop in temperature more than some of the others did, and as she crouched low just outside her family's cabin, she could barely move. The winds were stronger than usual, and the cub felt like she was being buffeted. Book clamped securely in her jaw, she had intended on going outside to read, only to find the weather was atrocious. Had it been this bad recently? She didn't get outside much, but she didn't recall such a drastic change.

Alice grinned somewhat smugly to herself, content with Mob's reaction. She was genuinely just as proud as he was - to the cub, it was a big accomplishment. With practise, she was sure to improve her control greatly over the course of a few weeks or so - but practise was boring. If only she could've been born with the power mastered already. How unfortunate. She preferred reading to messing around with pebbles. Unless - she tried levitating her books - but the image of an item so precious falling into a puddle told her that was a terrible idea. "What can I use it for?" the child would inquire, curious. After all, there was no point in practising all day if it couldn't serve a purpose. What did Mob use it for?

//retro to storm plot if that's okay? at least for now c:

The warmth of midday was slowly baking WindClan's territory that fine February day, without a puff of cloud in the sky to shelter them from the sun. Though not overwhelmingly hot, one creature would take advantage of the shade rather than the sunshine, resting in the tangled roots of a fruit tree in the orchard. Alice enjoyed good weather, but didn't always get along with the sun. The pale lion cub lay on a flank, a thick book propped against a root, brown optics flicking over the pages. She was oblivious to the real world as she delved into the story the words offered, creating unique expressions of shock, joy or anxiety as she came across various scenes. The child was lost to the story, though lay at peace and undisturbed for the time being.

Joiners came to WindClan quite often. There were always new people popping up at the border, whether Alice was there to greet them or not. Undeniably, there were some strange-looking creatures out there. Tigers with teeth as long as her legs. Striped yellow rabbit-mice that controlled electricity. Newcomers came in all shapes and sizes. But never in a million years could the child have predicted - this - to show up. It couldn't talk. Could it even see? What in the name of all good things was it? She wasn't one to judge. She had no idea what conditions it had been living in, the situations it had dealt with. But its appearance concerned the girl. To be honest, it scared her. But it could be just as scared, so Alice would take a deep, brave breath and approach the creature hesitantly, seating herself gingerly behind Mob.

"Um - I'm - Alice," she managed to speak, voice quivering slightly. She swallowed firmly, and tried once again. "Nice to meet you."

This one was rather bright and bubbly, Alice noted as she arrived upon the scene. If she could describe the joiner with a colour, she'd settle for something along the lines of rainbow. Even his name was happy. Ringo. It had a ring to it. She almost laughed aloud. It had a ring-o to it. It was quickly no longer funny. "I'm Alice," the child introduced herself quietly, wishing she had the social confidence this guy had. He'd seemed nervous at first, but very quickly got over that. That took skill. At least for her. Though... "Welcome to WindClan!" No, she now wanted to curl up and cry. That was the most cringey forced enthusiasm she had ever heard. The cub busied herself with licking her chest, face hot with embarrassment.

    - - - - -

Questions? Alice was full of questions. She was a very curious child, though didn't always pose said questions in fear that others would deem them unnecessary. The recently married couple, however, was asking for questions. Upon hearing Mob's, she'd feel a tug of disappointment. The questions were likely supposed to have something to do with the pair. It made sense, she supposed. But at her age, there wasn't much about the concept of love that interested her. Seating herself beside the flustered feline, she would wait a moment for a response to be given while pondering her own question. She settled for a simple one. It could result in a simple answer, or a cute story, and she didn't mind either. "How did you two first meet?"

//ahh alice doesnt have any spirit-y powers yet but she is faintly force-sensitive and i think she would at least sense his presence?? tbh i have no idea but i know through the force it is possible to see ghosts and stuff so dont mind me if this makes zero sense :c

Book in maw, brown optics would freely wander the scenery until landing upon Mob. She had planned on some reading outside in the quiet, but couldn't help but notice that the older feline was talking to - absolutely nobody?

The child approached from behind, slowly, warily. He was having quite the conversation with himself. What on earth was he doing? And then, just like that, she felt it. She couldn't see it, hear it, smell it - but she just knew. As if there was a receiving end to this talk, but hidden under an invisibility cloak. Mob could see it, and clearly hear it, of course. "Who are you talking to?" the child asked, her voice louder, colder. For once she was too distracted to analyse her every move, too scared, almost. It was paranormal. Was Mob doing this? Was it a prank? It was creeping her out, either way.

    - - - - -

The cub's jaw dropped. Was it - a ghost? She'd never seen anything that could vanish and appear like the little green spirit. She watched it float in awe, eyes the size of golf balls. "Hi," she stuttered breathlessly, swallowing and nodding her head to the creature. It wasn't what she'd pictured a ghost looking like. She thought they'd take a partially transpart version of their living body; maybe he wasn't a ghost. He certainly wasn't scary; in fact, he was rather cute. The child offered a weak smile to him. Dimple. "I don't think so," she stated quietly in response to her father's remark, though stood by him instinctively. "I'm Alice. Nice to meet you, Dimple."

The child approached timidly behind Henry, head dipped shyly. So many new faces... she could do this. Alice took a deep breath and raised her head to take note of the members of the Knight of Eden. How could she trust strangers? No, she could do this. All it took was confidence. "Hey, can I join in?"
