It was the night of the full moon and I had yet to find my mate. 'Don't worry about it, princess.' and 'You'll find them at some point.' was all I heard. I hated the reassuring comments, knowing that it didn't help my situation at all. God, I might be bound to be alone for the rest of my life. The thought alone made me grumble in annoyance, my tag giving a small lash. You see, I am an alpha in the Tundra Pack and every shifter in the known universe meets their mate by their sixteenth birthday, especially before the full moon of their birthday. A mate is someone who is very special to another shifter, especially in a romantic term. While this didn't demand any sexual relations it did give both shifters intense feelings for each other. While I hated feeling down for something so stupid I couldn't help my wolf inside, the one that was waiting impatiently for the right person to come alone.
"Ash! Hurry up! It's almost moon rise and we have to meet the other packs like in minutes!" My wolf's ears twirled and twitched at my brother's voice as he called out to me. Almost instantly I was up onto my paws, shaking the depressing thoughts from my head as I quickly bounded out of my den and towards my pack. All of the wolves were there, each of them chatting happily with their mates or close friends as they waited to head out to the cliff. My brother and father glanced my way, my father chuckling at my arrival. "Finally. Let's get going, darling." My father said after a sharp sigh, motioning for everyone to follow as he quickly bounded off into the woods. I quickly followed behind him, pack right after me.

As we arrived at the cliff I couldn't help but scan the crowd of every other pack, watching as each pack alpha glanced our way. We were late, as usual. Sighing, I padded behind my father as we made our way to the top of the cliff, the spot that towered over where everybody else sat. My brother and the pack headed down to sit below us, knowing my father wouldn't let me go simply because I was soon to be head alpha and must get used to these situations.
"Ah, it's nice that you guys decided to join us. Now, if you don't mind, we must carry on with the full moon celebration with the mingling of the packs!" I listened silently as the Moon Pack alpha spoke up, his head held high in pride as he gave a happy bark. Everyone seemed happy that they could mingle with everyone else, especially since they were banned from it for the rest of the moons. I just stared though, watching the alpha for a minute before I glanced towards the crowd. All of a sudden my eyes shifted only a omega wolf in the crowd, one that didn't look much older than me. I felt my heart give a small tug and I finally felt the need to go talk to the wolf. That was when I realized what was happening. I might have found my mate!
\\ just jump in with a pic of their human and wolf form! this is basically about packs that meet together peacefully on full moons and mingle happily. My character is a soon to be alpha who happens to spot your character, an omega. almost suddenly the two feel attached but what happens when they are in totally different packs? will one join the other or will they sneak around it?
