A smile appeared on Feather Step's face as Sun appeared with water. Phew. The female had been getting very thirsty, though she had decided against admitting it. After all, she knew better than to complain. Her family cared about her so much, this Feather Step knew. Of course, the young caracal wanted to go outside and explore, but she didn't plan on disobeying her parents' orders. She was worried about getting punished, plus it just seemed disrespectful and ungrateful.

Like Little-fawn, Feather Step was small. Even at such a young age, it was clear that she wasn't going to be someone who was physically strong, or always in the middle of battle. She didn't even really like the idea of fighting. However, the caracal did have long legs, so she would probably be good at running and hunting. And if Feather Step did have to fight, brutally even, she would do it under her family's orders.

"Thank you, uncle!" but Wind Runner was already lapping up most the water. "Umm, excuse me brother, but could I have some by any chance? If you really are the biggest, healthiest, strongest kit, then I'll need more water to keep my strength up, won't I?" Her voice didn't sound challenging, as she was too nervous to do such a thing. But Feather Step's eyes were narrowed, and she felt as though this was an intelligent route.

Feather Step began to lap up the water. Like Wind Runner, she took quite a lot, though she did remember that the rest of her family needed some. But she would carry on drinking until they asked. "I doubt it - you're only young," the caracal kit stated. "Even I wouldn't be able to, even with my good nose. You'll have to wait until you've matured." Feather Step was a very ambitious cat too, but she would keep herself in line because she didn't want to cause trouble or problems for her caracal friends.

Feather Step gave a small note, whispering to herself happily, "I was the only one who wasn't scolded," the small caracal cared a lot about her family's opinion of her, so much so that she was willing to change herself if that was what she needed to do to impress them. True, it wasn't a good outlook on life but these other caracals were the only family she had, and she even considered them friends. Feather Step wanted lots of friends, but she wasn't very trusting, so it was difficult for her. And if her family disapproved... well, things would get very difficult.

"Sister, you've already been told no. I would like to go outside as well, but I don't believe that whining is the answer. But haha, to each their own!" The female wasn't actually a very serious type, she just wanted to be loved. Just like every other kid, she wanted to play games, stretch her legs, and explore the world. She was just a little more respectful in her way of going about it.

"I know I'm not," Feather Step replied. However, she believed she was pretty close to perfect. Her only wish was that she had more freedom, but she doubted that would ever happen. Someday she would have to be let outside, right? Just like her siblings, there was a limit to how much the young female could take. She looked away from Hawk Wind briefly, gazing into the distance wistfully before turning back to her brother and looking him straight in the eyes. "Oh, who am I kidding? I'm Feather Step, most powerful cat ever to exist! I'm loved by all, and I strike down any enemies I may have with lightning bolts! Oh, and I can breathe fire, and I'm immortal!" Her voice had grown increasingly sarcastic as she smiled, before turning back to Sun and Spring Leaf.
