khaol was not immortal. he didn't have a grand history spanning back hundreds or even thousands of years, no. he was just khaol. though if he had the chance to become immortal, he wasn't sure he would take it. he enjoyed living in the present, making friends and a name for himself, if he was immortal, wouldn't those simple, small things lose their meaning? eventually his friends would pass on, leaving him alone, people would forget about him or become tired of him, afterall, forever was a very long time. so, perhaps he held pity for those who were doomed to an endless life.

even though this pair hadn't met, it seemed they had some common ground, even if it wasn't in the best way. khaol had always cared strongly about others, which was what had almost led to his demise. when he'd been enslaved, he had to choose his life over others, he had to kill or be killed. sometimes he still dreamed of the blood that often splashed his paws after each kill. someone had told him that he'd get used to it. he never did. those memories would haunt him for the rest of his life, but he was trying to learn how to deal with that.

he had to learn how to deal with that.

these thoughts were often the one's that haunted his dreams, luckily that night had been a rare moment of peace. khaol had arisen early, at the time he imagined that the sun should be rising. it was hard to tell without the sun actually rising, but he'd eventually gotten a feel for it. his body felt lighter than usual, the panthers steps calm and precise as he simply admired the beauty of the forest. it was quieter than usual, the prey having ran away thanks to the lack of sun, he could only hope it returned when the sun did. it'd be terrible if they all starved to death.

though while his mind was alert, it seemed that his senses were off. khaol had not seen the girl until he was closer, the figure of the caracal hard to make out in the darkness. ears perked, the panther tensed slightly. intruder? though she seemed... peaceful. bright golden green visionaries lingered before he strode forwards, the male quiet as he came up beside her. "is there something you needed with sunclan, miss?" his tone had come across a little harsher than he expected, his brows drawing together with uncertainty. "i mean, it isn't exactly everyday i spot a lonesome lady invading our territory, surely there's a reason?"

[ dude, don't worry, my brain is fried after school so you'll have to excuse the crappy quality c: ]

khaol had powers, rather, a singular one, but he avoided using it.it was destructive and violent and if he didn't master it entirely it was likely that someone else might get hurt. so, he simply decided that he'd refrain from using it at all. it was better that the warden be powerless than have a power but not be able to properly control it. speaking of control, there seemed to be some sort of commotion. the black panther approached on light paws, indirectly attempting to avoid looking at the giant spider. he didn't have anything against the guy, he was just... terrified of spiders. "you alright little missy?"

"did you burp or something?" it seemed that khaol and his clanmates response had been entirely different to each other, though painfully similar. the black panther often wondered the borders, they always had new joiners and, frankly, it was kind of fun to mess with them when they did. "khaol coratio, warden, how can we help you?" oh boy, he almost sounded like some sort of customer service employee. that sucked. the panthers eyes narrowed momentarily as they crossed over the lioness, then a broad smile swept over his lips. "hey, looks like i've found the yang to my yin!" he was, of course, referring to the contrasting colours of their pelts.

the famous case of the girl who'd amputated her own legs. it was something khaol doubted he would ever be capable of erasing from his mind. how could someone just... do that? honestly, khaol wasn't sure if he considered that stupid or desperate, to have the gall to saw of your own limbs. khaol shuddered at the thought. he would never have the mental strength to be able to do something like that. though he was curious, and khaol's curiosity often called him to strange places. this time, it was the medical guild, a place he had surprisingly never visited before. he'd never really needed to.

though upon his arrival, it seemed khaol wasn't the only one looking to check-up on the amputee. though the conversation he was able to hear was a little confusing. khaol himself had never had a real faather figure, or any parental figure for that matter. he'd learned what he could from those he'd bumped into, experience was what had taught him, not a parent. that thought was kind of sad in all honesty. "looks like you'll be able to get back out there now!" the form of the black oanther slid through the doorway, golden green gaze flicking across the curious inventions that would now function as her legs. "no excuse to keep slacking off," a grin swept across his jaws as he gestured to the prosthetics.

wait, was she aware of who he was? he sure hoped so, otherwise this would be a little awkward.

one person interacting with themself? now that was strange. though khaol and regi were both very strange so they weren't anyone to judge. approaching the scene, khaol threw his clanmates a quick grin before turning it onto the sunclan ambassador. who was from... oh, riverclan. "i thought i smelt fish around here," that, of course, was a joke, but maybe an offensive one. oops. nonetheless, his expression was still bright, the panther leaning back on his haunches. "thanks for the gifts, the name's khaol coratio. so, are you named after the chocolate or the galaxy?" well,at least he said thank you, right?

yet another vaguely familiar voice seemed to briefly reach his ears, or was that a laugh? it was painfully troublesome to make out sounds from one another. wait, why was he like this again? he wasn't sure he could remember. a whine passed through the boys lips as his paw was slapped away, the limb falling limp as it fell back to the ground. "ye broke me ahm!" this time he was yelling, a frown tipping his lips down before he used his other paw to pat his arm cautiously. "ya right misteh ahm, did da baaaad man hurt ye?" khaol shook his head before leaning to give his own leg a kiss. "awl bettah," a satisfied sigh drifted past his lips, though his content expression was quick to shift as he was forced to his feet.

"i am theee right amount oph old tanks mate," was he even making sense? probably not. nonetheless, the drunken panther went quiet as he focused on keeping himself from swaying on his feet. eventually he gave up, deciding to rest his entire weight onto mars. "you shuld be me mummy," his lips turned to a frown again as he eventually managed to somewhat recall the question he'd been asked. "how elsh am i s'pose teh sleep, stupid dreams," khaol lifted a paw to tap his forehead, almost falling in the process. "don be sad, ya gotta be... ah.... smiles!"

his head turned towards dixie, a messy grin slipping across his lips as he saw their pink form. "i ain't hurt dixie ya lil cute pinky lien," khaol assured. "i ish veeeeerrryyyy good, pinky shwears," he nodded his head in their direction before he froze. "dixie." a giggle passed his lips, "dix." wow.

it was no surprise that khaol was excited about the whole blind date thing. even if it didn't turn out to be a date, he was still getting the chance to meet new people and get to know others better. even through his excitement, the panther had managed to sleep in, thus making him notably late to their meeting spot. "ah," the breathy huff of the warden would sound as he finally came to a stop, pausing to catch his breath. "sorry! i didn't mean to sleep in, wait, you seem familiar," a troubled expression crossed his face as he attempted to figure out who this was, only to quickly shake his head. if he'd known he was talking to a queen he might've been a little more polite. "khaol coratio, i see you've already started, what do you need me to do?" a grin slapped across he lips as he waited.

I saw this in the sanctuary and tbh I love making Pinterest boards so drop ya character below along with a short description of their personality and the colours that you think represent them

"you're adorable!" then it was the panther's turn to show up to the scene, usual grin slung across his features. he'd been a little under the weather lately but after plenty of rest it seemed that he was back on his feet. the black panther came to a stop beside ang, nudging them in a playful manner before turning to the fox, or, cricket as they'd called themself. "khaol coratio, you might want to practice running just in case though, we have a few memebers who might try and chase you off. as long as you can outrun them you'll be fine!" there he went again. maybe someone should make a rule that khaol wasn't allowed to interact with joiners. oh man.

another kitsune? how many was that now? ten? twenty? either way it was too many, khaol almost felt lonely. unlike a lot of newbies lately, khaol had, had little experience in clans previous to his joining. though maybe that was why he enjoyed this life so much. either way, it was rare that he complained about the lifestyle, it was far better than his previous occupation. even if he did have certain duties he was required to complete, it seemed as though he almost enjoyed them.

this was one of those enjoyable duties. greeting joiners. the black panther was calm as he approached but a bright, sloppy grin was pinned across his lips. the panther's ears flicking with excitement as he took his place amongst his clanmates to greet the newcomer. golden green orbs flickered across the smaller feline before he waved a paw and took a seat. "irene, that's a nice name, i'm khaol coratio, nice to meet you. you'll be plenty of help, don't stress, just make sure you can work for about ten hours a day, there's a lot of work to do." he was, of course, joking, but it'd be interesting to see her reaction.

kids were strange. khaol had come to terms with that fact some time ago. they were curious and small and easily injured. he wasn't sure if he'd ever be able to handle children of his own very well, then again, he wasn't that much older than those that were considered "children" anyways. it was only when he spotted the girl, strange flower tucked between her teeth that his own curiosity began to mirror hers.

golden green gaze of the panther was narrowed, fictional brows furrowed as he padded forwards. "what is that?" for a brief moment he scrunched his nose, tail flicking briefly behind him. this wasn't anything that'd harm her right? he hoped not. "you look like you're on a mission."

it seemed she was more alert of her surroundings than khaol had realised. her body turning to view him as he approached. it only took a brief glance at her expression to figure out for sure that her intentions were harmless. when a borderline flirtatious smile tipped her lips up, khaol's own mouthed twitched into a small smile. lovely lady. well, he wasn't about to deny the truth behind her words, instead he only rose a fictional brow. "i suppose," the smile he wore took on a somewhat cheeky spin for a moment before returning to its original small smile.

perhaps this day was going to be far more interesting than he'd originally intended. he'd only really planned to come for a walk in the morning, check their borders and return to his camp duties. now it seemed that his attentions would be entertained, though for how long he wasn't sure. it'd only been a few words exchanged between the pair but he'd already deemed the queen as interesting. the panther rose a brow as her gaze swept over his form, instead he took a seat, wrapping his tail loosely around his paws. what was the harm in some conversing?

khaol's own observation of the woman was rather brief, but his opinions were positive to say the least. the caracal's regal air was appealing to say the least. "you... zoned out," a laugh brushed past the panthers lips. he couldn't say that he'd done such a thing before, but he'd met others that often zoned out and turned up in strange places because of it. "is this a common thing for you then? daydreaming?" a brief tip of the warden's head was present, his smile stretching wider. "a pretty name for a pretty girl," his complement was brief before a slight pout pursed his lips. "quite the opposite actually, i've been told my name reminds others of a dirty rock," a dramatic sigh drifted past his lips. "khaol coratio, of sunclan, just in case you hadn't figured that out."

she'd said she was from the knights of eden, right? "i've never met a knight of eden before, though i am curious. are you guys just like a clan or is it different? i've always wanted to know."
