She padded away, and soon, she was back, dragging two voles and a squirrel.

Following a squirrel into the undergrowth, he pounced, missing it by inches.
"Ah, so close! Oh well, everyone misses from time to time."

Purring, she dashed off again, this time coming back empty-pawed.
"I left my catch back there, buried. It was too big to carry."
By the end of their short hunting session, they had a bumper catch, about equal between the two of them.
"I'll go get us some help carrying all this."

Trying again, he went after a rabbit. This time he was successful.

When she came back she was accompanied by Rosepaw, Thistleleaf, and Moonblaze.
When Moonblaze saw the catch, she mewed "Wow. Cloudpaw said you needed help, but I had no idea you guys got this much prey. The Clan needs it especially ase leaf-bare draws nearer." Her eyes were as big as her namesake.
The four cats each picked up a mouthful of prey and headed back to camp.

On her next attempt, she succeeded. Happily, she rolled in the leaves, purring.

For the next hour or so, he bounced about catching a heap of prey.

"Well, we've been apprentices for quite a while and we were out nearly all day' she said, amused by the younger apprentice's enthusiasm.

"You think we should start hauling this back to camp?"

"hi there! Brambleshadow was teaching me some moves" she said enthusiastically.

"Woodenpaw is coming along well. Are you sure there is nothing you wanted to talk to me about. You did say you had something you wanted to tell me!" she said whiskers twitching.
Her ears pricked, and she disappeared momentarily, coming back with a rabbit large enough for three of the Clan!
"Seriously, you can tell me anything!"

Purring, she licked Twistedpaw's ear, and went to rest in the den.

"Would you like to join our session? she inquired, looking to her mentor for approval.
Turning back to Graypaw, she realized he was staring at her.
"What?" she said, feeling uncomfortable being looked at.

Although she was tired, Cloudpaw just couldn't get comfortable. The den was empty, with no other apprentices to warm her.

Wondering why he was so sad, she half-heartedly performed the move Brambleshadow had shown her again.

It doesn't look like he'll be getting much sleep tonight!Nudging her nest closer to his, she settled down and finally got some sleep.

Pickign up just over half their catch, he trudged in the direction of the camp, loaded down.

At dawn, she poked the still sleeping Twistedpaw.When he didn't move, she nudged him harder.
"Come on Lazybones, dawn patrol!"

When they arrived at the camp, Thistle leaf picked up a rabbit from their catch.
"Wanna share?" he said winking at her.
