"Oh, well of course I've already heard. I was going to approach you about that, actually," Dovepaw honestly didn't really care. Family meant nothing to him, it all depended on how a cat acted, their personality, as well as their abilities, and that was how Dovepaw formed judgement. He did hope that Whitepaw was saddened though. He liked seeing things like that. "You must be upset."

Leopardkit? Another son of Mossflight? That relation meant nothing to Dovepaw, but he had a feeling that the grumpy Whitepaw would be angered by it. Unlike Leopardkit, Dovepaw loved eating prey, as well as torturing it. He always believed that the creatures would recover, for there was no such thing as death, or StarClan. "Hiya, I believe your name is Leopardkit," Dovepaw greeted, cheerful as usual, "Hi Tanglepaw, how's it going?"
-
"Hmm, I see..." There was a strange, knowing expression on the ThunderClanner's face. Spottedfern had better be careful what she said around Dovepaw. The tom spotted the same mouse which Spottedfern had scented, and dropped down into a crouch, beginning to stalk it. He hoped that his Clanmate wouldn't steal his catch. After all, he doubted that she would give it the same thorough torture that he would. Dovepaw seemed to be the only one who knew how to do things professionally, and that made him proud.
-
"Well, it's only natural that you should be upset, not me," the ThunderClanner narrowed his blue eyes. That was not the answer he had been hoping for - he had been hoping for and expecting Whitepaw's suffering, not this. "Well, I'm not anxious at all about Mossflight disowning me. Even if she does, it makes no difference. Being someone's kin is nothing, it comes down to who they are and how you see them. But you should worry about the other two though, because they're not as confident as me," he added, "How's it going, Spottedfern?"
-
"What type of bird? Don't you know?" Dovepaw's ice blue eyes stared straight into Twistedkit's, and he began to tear apart the robin more, stabbing it with his claws. Why did Dovepaw find pleasure in Twistedkit saying that the bird was sad? He loved that bird, and only wanted the best for it. This was the best, being used for an experiment by an honourable ThunderClanner - an experience that lucky robin would surely remember. "Haha, I knew it!" Dovepaw was not surprised by his success. He paid a lot of attention to details, so names were incredibly easy for the tomcat to remember. "Wow, you don't know who I am? I'm Dovepaw, but you can call me whatever you want - I really don't mind!"
-
"Disrespectful? I'm actually being respectful enough to take my time examining this vole and gathering information about it, in the middle of a competition where speed is a factor as well!" And Dovepaw honestly believed what he said. Why did other cats react so strangely to his practises? Obviously, they had never tried being like Dovepaw - and being like Dovepaw was the greatest, not to mention the most enjoyable thing. Well, Dovepaw was okay with being the only one, the original, the special one, however you wanted to put it. He'd be famous... or apparently infamous in some cats' books. He continued to search for prey with ice blue eyes.

//mossflight: as long as dovepaw doesn't use his experiments on any cats
Dovepaw: *smiling*
"Wow, really? I'm just being friendly," Dovepaw told Tanglepaw. "Oh, so that is your name! I knew it! But why are you crying? You must be scared, but if there's anything else, please tell me all of it." He addressed Leopardkit. Once again, he was sadistically hoping that the kiddo was scared. And of course, if there was any information Dovepaw didn't know about, he needed to find out about it at all costs! After all, every scrap of info, every word, meant something!"Hi, Mossflight! What's up?" he noticed the deputy's smile, and then immediately glanced at Whitepaw, giving him a knowing smile as well. "Hi Whitepaw, are you alright?" There was another point he was making there: Mossflight was nowhere near as terrible as he was making her out to be. Dovepaw actually loved his mother, and believed that at least deep down, she had to be a really great cat, just like everybody else. "Hiya, Crystalkit! Are you okay?"
-
As Dovepaw pounced, he noticed Spottedfern. "Move away!" He ordered, headed flying towards her as well as the mouse with teeth bared. No way would he lose this catch. It was going to be his, he knew it! Dovepaw had to have confidence. After all, that mouse did look delicious, especially considering that it was Leafbare. Whilst the tom had no bad feelings towards the season, he understood how the situation was to an extent, though his positive attitude remained just like always.
-
-
"Of course I'll come and help out!" Dovepaw made his way over, ice blue eyes eager. "And hiya everyone! How are you all?" It seemed that the ThunderClanner always had to greet his Clanmates whenever he saw them, and always acknowledge them. He didn't like the idea of leaving someone out, or not knowing someone well.
-
There was Whitepaw, his brother, though he had been disowned and all, and Glacierpaw, another apprentice that Dovepaw was currently getting to know, and wanted to know everything about. "Hiya Whitepaw, how's it going?" the tom asked excitedly, before addressing Glacierpaw. "Yes, you absolutely are! I'm eager to have this chat!" He smiled.
-
"Another catch for Dovepaw!" He didn't even comment on the fact that Spottedfern had been aiming for that mouse as well. He begun to tear the rodent apart, using his unusual method once again. He wasn't even halfway through his apprenticeship yet, but it was clear that Dovepaw would turn out to be a formidable warrior, as well as a rather strange one - strange to his Clanmates at least.
-
if dovepaw ever got a mate dear god... he would be way too possessive of them and would still torment them and feel as though he owned them. he is clearly the cat of everybody's dreams lol
-
"I believe that I will be called Dovesong. After all, I can sing incredibly well, and it fits with the prefix Dove. I wonder why Mossflight called me Dovekit - she must have wanted me to become a loving cat, as free as a bird. And that's what I have always been." Yup, there was plenty of sense in Dovepaw's name, and he adored the ring to it. What Dovepaw hadn't even thought of was that doves were meant to be peaceful - and although the tomcat didn't realise it himself, he was anything but that.
-
Dovepaw made his way over in a lazy track post. Tanglepaw would become a warrior today. It didn't make any difference to Dovepaw, and he knew that he would still see the she cat the same. It was just a name change, words spoken by a leader. Adderstar really did have control, or the 'StarClan' that apparently existed.
-
"Eat me? Go ahead then, try it," Dovepaw challenged. If anyone did try to attack though, even for a play fight, he had a feeling he would end up hurting them. Even back when he had been a kit, he had always been especially violent, not caring about the damage that he caused. "I'd absolute adore a cat with a name like that. Stunning!" it was then that Adderpaw interrupted, and Dovepaw gave a smile and a laugh. "Oh Adderpaw, you just butted in! It cool, you're welcome to join in - even though you're a bit too old. What should I get these lot to call you - grandpa Adderbutt? How's it going?"
-
"That was so sloppy, I doubt that even counts. I'll catch a mouse of my own!" the feline spotted a mouse with icy eyes, and begun to stalk carefully, cautiously, before leaping. Using the exact same method that he had used to catch the vole - though maybe even more gruesomely this time. Of course, the entire experience was incredibly enjoyable for Dovepaw, looking straight into the rodent's eyes as they suffered. And then they stopped breathing. But it was okay, though. They'd recover. "A second catch for Dovepaw - as I said, a mouse, and caught perfectly!"
-
"Of course I'm going to help! I learnt about herbs in my free time so that I would be able to assist you in times like this!" It was true, really. All Dovepaw wanted to do was help, but he had some very unusually ways of doing so. And he was confused about his sadism, and what it meant - though the ThunderClanner would never admit to how baffled he was. All would become clear soon, he was certain.
-
"The mouse isn't stupid! They have emotions, they're an animal!" why would Glacierpaw disrespect prey like that? It wasn't like Dovepaw did! Sure he might be a bit sadistic, but he was only trying to work out how bodies functioned, so he was just finding a second use for prey. And thanks to the ThunderClanner's belief in immortality, he really didn't feel anything but joy when it came to tearing bodies apart. "So that I can look at their insides and see how they function. Research, help. I'll do it, even if everyone else doesn't want to. I'll be generous, I'll do the job. Best find as many uses for prey as possible." As Glacierpaw proceeded to catch a thrush, Dovepaw commented cheerfully, "Nice catch - much neater than the last one, I must say!" Before he continued with his own search. Spotting a robin, he leapt, but missed the creature by a whiskerlength. He chased after it, managing to pin the bird down by the wing not after long. After the same procedure as usual, he called out, "Dovepaw's third catch!"
