Something that never failed to make her smile? She smiled. Everything failed. Especially on bad days. She wasn't truly sure if she'd ever had a real smile, one that was derived from pleasure and happiness. What even was that? What did it feel like? These were questions she'd asked before but never received the right answers. Eddie studied Gatsby as she thought on it for a moment or two, tail flickering. "When people.. try to understand." Eddie didn't go into depths of what these people were supposedly trying to understand. But the answer could be seen as her deriving happiness from peoples attempts to understand something about herself. Like they cared about her. The truth was it made Eddie smile (never really) because it was truly stupid. There was no point to even trying to understand it. Why did they bother? Why did they try? It was like looking at the world and trying to understand how it all began in the first place. Some things were just better left unsaid just as some things were supposed to remain unknown. Even she didn't understand it. She never would.
Eddies smile returned to her face and she looked at Gatsby. She thought it wasn't quite fair that he was asking all the questions. He had to get some too. "YOU! Spotty cat! What is your worst nightmare come to life?" She grinned eagerly at him, blue eyes vying for a juicy answer. Please involve sad backstory, please involve dead family.

It sucked ass that Blue heard her because Eddie had been truly enraptured by the raptor that stood before her. The white feline sat on a tree branch midway, absorbing the sight below her. She had seen it nearly as soon as it'd entered the Veil. Despite how quiet, fast and discreet it appeared to be, Eddie had eyes everywhere. She followed the strange creature from air and decided to just watch- until now. Eddie was mimicking a laugh when she saw Blue pushing that glowing mushroom but it seemed the dino had heard. And it seemed the dino was angry. Eddie sighed. There was no point hiding in the shadows now. She slithered to the end of the branch, glad it was thick, and revealed herself in the moonlight. This creature didn't look that normal. It looked feral. It would probably kill her given the chance. She sighed loudly again. No Veiler was here to critique her. She could put on any face she pleased. Eddie settled with a intrigued look, peering down at Blue. "Hello you." She purred, wings tucked by her sides, ready to open any time soon. "How much do ya wanna bet that I could ride you?" Eddie wanted to, badly. She knew it was a terrible idea but the thought of sitting on that scaly back as the world blurred around her sounded delicious. "Or you could ride me, I'm fine with that too." Yeah, and be crushed in the process but the raptor didn't need to know that. The poor thing probably didn't even understand what she was really getting at.
"So. What heaven did you emerge from, beautiful?" She sent the feral raptor a amazingly flirty wink.

Water was cool but uncontrollable. Eddie didn't really enjoy things that she had lack of control over, especially things that had the potential to harm her. It was a good thing she knew how to swim however otherwise her hate for the water would be ten times worse. For now it was tolerable. She preferred being dry over wet, especially with her feathered wings. But a dip wouldn't hurt her! Besides, it was really warm at the moment. The winged feline watched from afar as Sear slowly tread into the water. He seemed so cautious. He was taking his time. Eddies eyes narrowed and a smirk appeared on her lips. He was afraid. She liked Sear, because he was so angry all the time. He was easier and more fun to toy with then the calm headed ones. She padded close, dipping her snowy white paws into the cool water. Of course, she still had bandages wrapped around her from the attack but other then that, she felt okay. The bruised feeling that was her ribs was being ignored. She would be fine. Eddie didn't open her mouth to speak at Preacher or Starlight, she simply wadded into the water and once she was close-ish to Sear, she attempted to splash him with water. A big goofy grin was present on her maw and to any regular individual, it would seem like she was just making harmless fun with Sear. No ill intentions at all. She hid the cruelty in her actions well, laughing a little. "Don't just stand there, stinky. Play with me." She would continually attempt to splash him with water, not caring if anyone else was accidentally splashed in the process.

"Back off, bitch." Eddie grinned at him. He was one angry soul, wasn't he? She inhaled and offered the explosions going on underneath the water a raised brow before looking back at Sear. "Well I don't think that's very polite." Eddie said, mimicking shock and displeasure at his words. She shook her head but any fool could see she was being 'sarcastic' as she inched closer to Sear, once more attempting to throw water as he turned his back on her. He wasn't very happy with her right now. Well, he didn't seem to be the type to be happy with ANYONE, ever! She liked that in a guy. Eddie followed him out of the water, deciding then and there she was going to be the most annoying leech he'd ever experienced. She sat herself right by him, nearly touching, and gave into those red eyes that dared her to do more. Eddie was a sucker for challenges. It was as though Sear had been sent gift wrapped from those Gods. "Why don't you like the water? Did you experience something traumatic with it when you were little? Let me guess.... your daddy put you under because he was so disappointed with you? He expected a brawny, intelligent son and instead he got you! Something just.. had to be done about it. Is that it? Is that the sad backstory? Or did you just nearly drown? Tell me, Sear." She was truly eager for it.
