[center][fancypost=;border:0px;width:430px;text-align:justify;color:pink]Rosewater had, at first impression, thought Planty was simply... not right. After all, it did appear just to be a potted bonsai tree and nothing more, and then it opened its nonexistent mouth and spoke to her. That had felt so wrong. But then it had said it would call her Miss Rosey, which was a name that was quite sophisticated, according to the white kitten, and she had liked it a bit more. She had grown used to its presence around RiverClan, teleporting here and there. When, as she padded past Ramses, he spoke aloud, she stopped in her tracks and looked around. She hadn't seen it for a bit, longer than usual. Rosewater's brow furrowed, and she turned to Ramses, speaking her response. "I noticed now. I haven't seen it all day." The tiniest traces of a frown appeared on her lips. The drought, she guessed, was not good for the plant and, although she would have denied it greatly, a small twinge of uneasiness sprung up in her chest. If it was not in the caves, was it out in the open, getting baked in the sun? But it would surely teleport out of the way, and stay in camp, where it was shady and not dangerously hot. The fact that it was not in camp worried her, just a bit. [color=#FFFFFF]"I bet it's in here somewhere."

[ sorry for no famcypost, on mobile ]

The white kitten was next to approach, her fur looking a little more ruffled than usual. She was finding it hard to have time to groom when most of her now consisted, thanks to the drought, of lying in shade in a pathetic attempt to cool off or scrounging around for water. Rosewater raised her nonexistent eyebrows as she came to a halt beside Ramses, her ear that held a pink silk bow on it giving a small flick. Khaol didn't appear to be much older than her, she noticed, but, as it always happened, he was still taller than Rosewater. Really, she hated being tiny. She wanted to be one of those long-legged, elegantly tall felines. Too bad genetics had cursed her with shortness. So, in both an attempt to look taller and also to look more regal, she raised her chin and straightene her posture.

Ramses had covered basically everything that needed to be said, but Rose spoke nonetheless. "Welcome- I guess- to RiverClan. We don't have any rivers right now, though. It sucks. Well, anyway, I'm Rosewater, or Rose, or Rosy." She added on to the end of her short introduction, gesturing with a paw toward the territory. It puzzled her how some people were still joining RiverClan in their unfortunate state. Did they really want to join that much? Rose would have walked away had she happened upon RiverClan's border when it had looked like it did now. But, then again, she hadn't even lived in RiverClan before. Maybe if she had been born in it, left, and returned, as Khaol had, she would have joined nonetheless. "Oh, by the way, this is Ramses." She informed the newcomer with a tilt of her head toward the direhound. Something about introducing Ramses before he could himself made her feel like she had won something. Like the nonexistent "who can introduce each other first" contest that nobody else was aware about and Rosewater made up in her own head.

[center][fancypost=;border:0px;width:430px;text-align:justify;color:pink]Rosewater scampered up second. She had smelled the coppery scent of blood mixed with Ramses's scent, and, well, she was there within practically a heartbeat. She hadn't noticed his disappearance, too busy trying to find water or keep cool in the shade. So, it really shocked her when she came upon the scene. Immediately an alarmed cry rushed out of her mouth. "Ramses! Oh my god- what happened?" Then she detected the scent of BloodClan, the clan that had attacked the camp. Her ears flattened angrily, and she really wanted to start yelling curses and hope upon hope that BloodClan would hear, but Ramses was not looking good whatsoever. She had been picked as a Nurse, despite her lack of experience, and it was her job to help her clanmates. She had been reading up on herbs, because those were a big part of her job now, but her mind was blanking. The sight of Ramses all bloody and with a knife sticking out of him sort of made her want to faint. Rosewater seemed like the type who would faint, all delicate and tiny, but she didn't- thank goodness.

"Mark, can you go find Hope? Or somebody who knows more than me?" She snapped, her alarm and worry coming out in the form of sounding really pissy. [color=#FFFFFF]"And, if you see more cobwebs, or marigold, get that too!" [color=pink]She then turned her attention away from the Minnow and to Ramses. She had no idea how to get the knife out, and she sincerely hoped that somebody with better medical qualifications would come along soon, like Princess Hope. [color=#FFFFFF]"Uh- crap, what do I do? Try to breathe normally. Uh, stay calm. Just- wait for Hope." [color=pink]She felt so absolutely useless, and wanted to do something, but Rosewater was freezing up a little bit. It wasn't like she had ever seen someone who looked so completely beat up before.

[center][fancypost=;border:0px;width:430px;text-align:justify;color:pink]She breathed a brief sigh of relief when Mark returned with the herbs. The kitten was so grateful that the drought hadn't killed off every single plant yet, allowing marigold to still be around. She took the herbs and stick from him, freezing again when Ramses mentioned the knife. Then Arcanepaw came along, the other nurse, and that soothed her just the tiniest bit, but she was still not moving. Was it okay to rip out the knife? She had no medical experience involving ripping out knives. But Ramses seemed impatient and wanted it really out. Little did she know that taking it out might cause more bleeding. "Okay, okay!" [color=pink]She broke out of her little trance and, without thinking whatsoever whether or not it was a good idea, attempted to rip the knife right from the direhound's body.

[center][fancypost=;border:0px;width:430px;text-align:justify;color:pink][ same, please excuse this terribly late reply ]

Rosewater almost jumped out of her fur when she heard Arcanepaw speak- she had started spacing out a little bit, as she thought, and thus hadn't heard or seen Arcanepaw approach. When she whirled around to face him, though, she was granted with the sight of not an attacker, but another RiverClanner. One of the other RiverClanners that had been promoted to both Nurse and Minnow. Although she had never been introduced to him, she knew that he was either Arcanepaw or Kynthia, as those had been the names of those promoted in the meeting. He didn't look quite like a Kynthia, and he seemed young enough that he could be a 'Paw. Thus, she guessed that he was Arcanepaw. Her mind was thinking about that for a few moments, but then she remembered he had asked her a question and spoke.

"I'm fine." She twitched an ear irritably, as if she was annoyed that he dare ask her whether or not she was alright. In truth, she was just a little embarrassed she had been so startled by his quiet approach, and it came out in the form of her being a tad snappish. She smoothed down her chest fur with one paw, and opened her mouth again, with a calmer approach this time. [color=#FFFFFF]"Yes, I'm fine. Do you happen to know which of these places has, hmm... uhm, any sort of jewelry?" [color=pink]The idea sprang into her head. Jewelry! That would be cool. Now she knew what she was looking for, at least. The problem of which building she was to go in was still there, but perhaps Arcanepaw knew- or, if he didn't, Rosewater could find it. It was worth asking about, though.

[ ooc; on mobile so no fancy post,

The knife fell to the ground as Rosewater dropped it, very alarmed by Hope's sudden appearance and her words. She didn't sound furious or anything, but the fact that Rose had done something wrong enough for her to be scolded over it made the white kitten very startled. Idiot. You messed up. Nice going, Rose. You could have made it worse. You want Ramses to die or something? A mean, ugly voice inside of her hissed. She just stood there until Ramses's voice cut through- he was saying that he had told her to, which was true. It was kind of him to say that, but she kept silent, not asking who Quill was nor praising Mark for his quick applying of marigold and cobweb.

Finally she turned to Hope. She stared at the unicorn, her own ears going back. "What am I supposed to do then? Leave the knife in and let Ramses walk around with it in him? You didn't show up until now and he asked so I did it." The feline's words were way too sharp, but she was embarrassed and not thinking straight. A good few moments after she had snapped at Hope, her previously bristled fur started smoothing down and she realized that she had just actually snapped at Hope. Embarrassment and shameflooded through her veins and she took a step back, looking down at her paws.

"Sorry... just, um, sorry. That was unnecessarily rude of me. Anywhere else you need patched up?" Her apologies were muttered softly, her second sentence directed at Ramses as she wound a clump of cobweb around one of her paws. His tail didn't look good, but she wanted to make sure that he didn't want to just lie down or something first.
