    The lithe dromaeosaur pauses for a moment, tapping her left toe-claw on the forest floor and lifting her snout to smell the air. When the scent of mammals tickles her sensitive nose, she recoils slightly and ruffles her feathers. Mammals. She isn't particularly averse to them, but as a whole she finds them rather brash. Loud. Volatile. Tasty, too, but that's something she'll have to put away if she wishes to join a...group? Pack? Clan! Yes, that's it. A clan.


    The young zhenyuanlong drops her head and continues to trot on closer to the border, large wings held close to her sleek, feathery body. From a distance, one might think her a large bird. This would be a mistake. She isn't a creature of violence, but she is a predator, and willing to fight tooth and very sharp claw if need be.

    — Her amber eyes light up as she catches sight of the other creatures, but she takes a step back instinctively. She hasn't had to fight for her life for a long time, and although she can see no signs of aggression from the others she feels a twinge of uncertainty. She flattens her arms against her body, overcome with a sense of how odd she must look to these three cats. She takes a deep breath and straightens up a little. Get a hold of yourself.


    "Greetings," Bunny says, bobbing her head. "My name is - um - Bunny."


    She cringes. She doesn't hate her name, but god, if it isn't embarrassing sometimes. What were her parents thinking?


    "I was wondering if I could join your clan."

    No point beating around the bush. The zhenyuanlong taps her toe claw in anticipation, the sound of her heart thudding in her ears. She hasn't even thought about what she'll do if rejected. Would they even want a creature like her associated with them? She puffs up her feathers, waiting tensely.

    — As soon as the words reach her ears the zhenyuanlong lets out a sigh. She smiles brightly and de-puffs her feathers. She's part of a clan. It's a weird feeling, given that she's been a solitary animal for most of her life, but good. It will be nice to belong somewhere. With any luck, they'll have food, too. She's hungry, having only eaten a small lizard yesterday night that left a bitter taste in her mouth.


    "Thank you," she says. "Do you have a base? I could use some rest."
