Eren narrowed his eyes, his ears flicking back against his head. The condescending tone of voice that Aleksei continued to use was frustrating him endlessly. He hated being looked down upon by adults, but by someone younger than him? He was treating Eren like a pestering child! He tipped back his chin, his ears growing hot with a coupling of both anger and embarrassment. The young tom didn't have a little voice in the back of his head telling him when to stop and when to give something up; no, that had become Mikasa's job. But she wasn't around.

At the comment about his 'accident,' he took a warning step towards Aleksei, his lips drawing back in a partial snarl. "Seriously?! That was no accident, I was tortured. A-And it's got nothing to do with what I'm doing! I was actually going to go patrol, which is ten times more useful than walking around camp like some zombie!" he snapped, practically yelling. Then again, he was almost always yelling, wasn't he? A few clanmates glanced in their direction, offering him strange glances.

Eren heard the words that Mikasa spoke. He heard the way that her voice wavered with anger, a rare instance, considering how monotone she tended to be. But he was already much too invested to try and stop. His thoughts were warped and clouded by raw emotion; he was on a dangerous track, and someone needed to knock him off of it before he went too far. Mikasa, of course, did just that. Quite literally.

His teal eyes widened as his adoptive sister shifted her weight, not only taking his attack but turning it against him. Her shoulder caught him right between his ribs, hard enough to send him sprawling across the ground. He grunted in pain, tumbling over himself two or three times before finally coming to a halt on his side. He gasped for the air that had been knocked out of him, lowering his head. All of the fury he'd just possessed had dissipated; he was glaring at the ground, his teeth gritted.

She was right. She was completely right. He nearly jumped up and protested again when she mentioned his missing leg, but he didn't have it in him at this point. The back of his throat burned, and he did his best to hold back the tears that were forming at the corners of his eyes.

    She was right.

Her coldly-worded order hung in the air, waiting to see if it would be followed. Eren tensed, as if to remain in place, but after a moment or so the small tom heaved himself back to three legs. He made eye contact with Mikasa, optics wide, before turning and limping back towards the medicine den while muttering under his breath.

Eren spent most of his time nowadays doing laps around the order. It wasn't necessarily an enjoyable thing to do, but it helped him build up strength in his three remaining legs. At this point, he could walk, run, and jump almost as well as everyone else. He still had not managed to hunt or fight properly, but... well, he could only keep on trying. For now, he was focusing on building up muscle strength and endurance. It was rather impressive, actually; nearly all of the chubbiness he'd acquired while confined to his bed was just about gone. Instead, his fur rippled with lean muscles, the product of all his exercise. He was proud of what he'd done.

He'd been going about his usual rounds along the border when he spotted what looked like a pair of strange, mutated masses sitting at the border. By the time he actually reached them, he came to realize that they were instead four animals - two riders and their mounts. And boy, were they strange-looking. The boy had never seen anything like them. he'd looked on in slight wonder, mood pleasant - until the second one opened his mouth.

A stormy expression shadowed his face, and by this point Pierce and Sweet probably knew him well enough to guess what was coming. He lashed his tail. What was with the sudden amass of rude joiners lately? "Seriously?! You can't just walk up to our border and expect to be welcomed with that attitude," Eren huffed, flexing his claws. "You're lucky Sweetophelia is nice enough to let you stay at all. If it's so shoddy here, why don't you pack up and go brag to someone else, huh, goat-man?" He pouted, wanting to say more but refraining.

Eren stepped into the lobby of the building he would be staying in, teal gaze dancing with wonder and excitement. The Olympic games. To be able to attend at seventeen years old was easily the greatest thing that had ever happened to him. Though he'd been called mediocre when first starting out, he had trained long and hard in order to rise up the ranks and become one of the best and brightest boxers around.

The young German yanked along his suitcase as he walked further into the hotel, still drinking in his surroundings. His event didn't start for another few days, so he'd only just arrived. He was still in his plane clothes - baggy sweatpants, a ratty old t-shirt from some boxing tournament, and Adidas slides with socks. His mop of brown hair was a mess, sticking up in various places and pressed down in others. He doubted his appearance was a great first impression, but he couldn't be bothered by that too much. They would all see the extent of his strength in the ring soon enough.

As he was making his way towards the elevators, idly wondering if Mikasa had arrived yet, he accidentally bumped shoulders with Wisteria. Immediately he paused, a sheepish expression crossing his face. "Oh - hey, sorry about that," he would offer, scratching at the back of his neck.
