  • clan recs for an oldie?

    man, i haven't been here in a long while, and everything's changed quite a bit. i was wondering, then, what were some good clans for a new character? he's going to be more or less based off of the character popee from popee the performer, which is a damn good show if you like shitty early 2000s CGI kids shows with tons of murder and other slightly gruesome themes. i love it. any clans for a really petty and jealous murder clown?

    This is a response to the thread of the "threat" made by a Tumblr user. Here goes nothing.


    To start off with, this is not to bash anybody or anybody's opinions. If any of this comes across as rude, please let me know! This post is meant to be as polite as possible, and I'm not going to be taking anybody's side on this. I haven't been here long enough, anyways, to really form an opinion on all of this. So!


    Yes, threats are usually not to be taken lightly. I am not saying that this individual, who I refuse to url drop or name drop to anybody, was in the right. But just after half an hour or so of that thread being posted of the screenshot of that post, a post made by a fifteen year old with mental health problems that make it hard for them to control their impulses, have received death threats over it. I don't know if somebody decided to url drop them to another person, or if they went through the feralfront Tumblr tag to dig up the post, but that is ENTIRELY UNACCEPTABLE. Nobody should ever, ever send a death threat to anybody, especially to a minor.


    I'd also like to point out that they do not know Dynamo's exact address. There are hundreds of addresses in the town Dynamo lives in, and Dynamo is a grown adult both mentally and physically-- While this individual is a disabled minor.


    TL;DR: Do not send death threats to anybody. Ever.

    The person being attacked needs to remove themselves from the situation. Mute, disable anon comments, or, if nothing else is available, separate themselves from the site. If they are being affected and are unable to ignore the hurtful words (and hurtful words are NOT easy to ignore) they need to find a way to turn off, delete, erase, block, stop the negative.

    I hate to be That Guy but it sort of seems like you're missing the issue? It's that somebody in this community is sending a minor death threats and using homophobic and transphobic slurs. Over something they apologized for.

    The person who sent this probably wants attention for it. We're giving them that. Dynamo not responding to this thread is probably the best thing he can do in this situation.

    I still think you are missing the point? Yes, it is on anon. But the fact that the staff is not acknowledging this is actually sort of disgusting? Does it not bother you at all that somebody like this is in our community? The person on anon is from FeralFront. The post was made in the FeralFront tag, and has been screenshotted and put here.

    Dynamo just can't do anything because we legally can't do anything.


    Death threats -- threats in general -- are NOT okay, regardless of where they come from. They need to be reported if possible, and we'll try everything we can to stop the harassment, even if it ends up in a dead end.

    I appreciate that somebody on the staff team is recognizing this. Thank you, Maple. As I said before, the IP trick is not working, and I feel that, perhaps, Dynamo could at least acknowledge that this is happening since this all started due to people trying to protect him, a grown man, from a mentally ill minor?


    I really don't mean to be rude, I really apologize if it's coming off that way. This entire situation is absolutely sickening, and I feel like Dynamo should at least say something.
