"You still look amazing after all these years" made Marius' smile falter for a second. Yeah, there's sort of a reason for that. He said silently, but his smile was back in full-force at Elijah's comment about his shortness. He chuckled slightly at that, although it died out when Eli continued speaking.

"Don't beat yourself up about that," Marius told him quietly, shaking his head. It honestly wasn't Eli's fault that Marius had disappeared, and Marius didn't blame him for being scared of the darkness. "Wait, really?" He asked, looking confused for a moment. "Um.. Yeah. Yes please!"

[ ooc ] going out for a walk, won't be replying for a little while after this

[ ic ] As Eli led him to his house, Marius couldn't stop his eyes from wandering. Everything seemed very plain and quiet, much different than the hustle, bustle, and fanciness he was used to since he preferred melting into the city crowd.

They arrived at Eli's house and Marius was silent for a few moments, studying everything. His green eyes saw the picture of him and Eli when they were still teenagers, noticing how that boy in the picture didn't look like him at all. The boy in the picture didn't look like he was ready for the changes that would come after him in the next few years of his life.

"I.." He tore his eyes away from the picture, giving Eli a smile. "It's wonderful." He didn't really know what to do know, he decided he'd just let Eli lead him around and have Eli tell him what to do.

Marius took a seat next to Eli, green eyes still darting around the room. He looked over, seeing Eli taking off a fake leg. Well, He thought, blinking once and then looking away, not wanting it to seem like he was staring. That's new. "I bet it does," Marius said sympathetically, giving Eli a smile. "Why do you always go out at 11:30 pm?" He questioned, tilting his head slightly.

[ ooc ] aw, hope you feel better soon!!

HARRY POTTER — "Well, it isn't always adventures in Gryffindor." Harry told Maverick, giving a little shrug. Maverick could see the thestrals? That was pretty cool, even if it was slightly sad, since you had to see death before seeing the thestrals.

"Yeah," Ron piped up, giving Hermione a grin. "'mione over there is probably the biggest nerd in the whole school, obsessing over her grades every single second. She'll probably go nuts this year, with our NEWTs and everything." This earned him a light smack from Hermione, although she honestly knew it was true.

ELLIOT MARSHALL — Elliot pretended to be thinking hard, amusement glittering in his gaze. He honestly wasn't surprised that Malfoy hadn't ever heard of him, he had kept a mainly low profile for the last few years. "You know what, I don't know!" He responded, shrugging. Actually, hey, maybe he could try to get revenge on Malfoy for all those remakes he'd made over the years, although he'd probably get hit with a jinx or two. "Actually I have an idea! Let's talk about how you're not better than everyone!"

Ben had been getting the occasional mocking 'Hun' from other students, mainly Slytherins, throughout the day, but he didn't really care. Honestly, he found it a little funny, even. As he, Carson, and Declan headed out of the castle and down to their next class, Care of Magical Creatures, he heard a sneering 'Hun' from none other than Draco Malfoy.

"Wow," Carson whispered in his ear. "You even got his attention."

Care of Magical Creatures without Hagrid was, to put it simply, much safer. All they had to do was draw a bowtruckle and while Ben wasn't exactly the most artistic out of his little trio, he could draw a decent stick man.

"Check out Mr. Stormy over yonder," Declan hissed, prodding Ben in the shoulder and pointing at North. "Bet'cha 5 Galleons if you go over there and try to chat with him he won't answer or he'll tell you to piss off in the most un-nice way possible."

"I'll take that bet," Ben replied, finishing up the head of the bowtruckle. He still had some work to do, but it was alright, mostly done. Abandoning his work, with Declan looking on eagerly - Carson was still drawing - he made his way over to North, a grin on his face.

Stopping beside North, he'd observe the drawing that the Slytherin was working on. Actually pretty good, he had to admit. "Wat'cha doing?" He asked in a sing-song voice, knowing that North would probably hate that he asked a question with an obvious answer. Although, in a whisper, he added, "Hun."

[ ooc ] i relate to mav on a high level omg

& i feel like i'm starting to write hermione as if she's slowly getting a crush on mav?? lmao drama

HARRY POTTER — Harry, Hermione, and Ron all looked at each other when Mav asked if they could help him find his courage. Ron looked skeptical, Hermione looked as if she wanted to say yes, and Harry was thinking that it might be nice to have another guy around to be friends with. "Yes!" Hermione said quickly, grinning at Maverick.

"It'd be nice to have you around," Harry told him, giving him a smile. Ron was silent, but nodded in agreement. "Just keep in mind that it isn't really possible to teach you courage or confidence."

ELLIOT MARSHALL — Oh, Merlin. Elliot thought, ducking quickly. He was probably going to get hit with jinx after jinx, but hey, that one moment of triumph was worth it. "Getting feisty, aren't we Malfoy?" He asked, digging through his pockets to find his wand. "Aren't you a prefect? You should be setting a good example!"

"Oh, alright." Marius said, bidding Elijah good night and heading up the stairs and going into the bathroom. Yep, there was the shower. He set the pajamas on the counter, taking off his shirt. There was the reason he was lucky to get a long-sleeved shirt - multiple bites littered his arms, some scrabbling over, some that looked nearly healed, and some that looked pretty fresh. He lifted a hand to his mouth, poking at his canines, sharper and slightly longer than they should be.

After his shower, he changed into the new clothes, taking his old ones into the bedroom. He quickly folded them, leaving them on the floor at the end of the bed. Crawling into bed, he was thankful that he'd drank some of his blood before meeting up with Elijah, or else he'd be craving some. Laying his head on the pillow, he lay awake for a while before falling asleep.

[ ooc ] tbh north has so much self-control and patience because i would probably have slapped ben by now lmaoo

Oh, hey, he just won a bet. Ben sent a grin towards Deckan who seemed to get an idea of what Ben was thinking and started digging through his pockets, trying to find 5 Galleons.

"Aw, but I'm your friend." Ben said, pouting. "Or do our chats from yesterday mean nothing to you?" They didn't mean anything to Ben, either, except to use as a reason during his annoying mission.

Marius awoke to a crash from downstairs, sitting up abruptly and forgetting where he was for a moment. When he remembered, he listened, waiting for any more sounds, but none came. What the hell had happened down there, he wondered?

Getting out of bed, he didn't bother to change out of the pajamas - they were cleaner than his clothes. Going downstairs, he'd peer into the kitchen, seeing Eli standing there making coffee. "Mornin',"

[ ooc ] tfw when ron doesn't like you because the girl he likes has a crush on you

HARRY POTTER — Harry gave a grin, shaking his head. "I doubt we'll regret it," He said, liking Mav's happy personality. "Hey, what classes are you in?" He questioned, raising his eyebrows slightly. They usually had at least one class with the Hufflepuffs every year, so maybe they'd get to see each other in class.

ELLIOT MARSHALL — "Protego!" Elliot shrieked, and the light of Draco's spell disappeared as it hit the invisible shield. Oh, yes, a time when he was glad that this was the spell he was best at. "Personally, I think Muggleborns are better than you- you're the lowlife here." Elliot told him, lifting his chin and keeping his wand ready. Sure, call him a blood traitor, but he had many Muggleborn and Muggle friends. It's what happens when you go to Muggle school for a few years.

    [ ooc ] alright!

Woah, was that an insult towards Ben's blood or something? Sure, technically he was only someone with a quarter of the magic blood Purebloods had, having three Muggle grandparents and all, but he was a wizard!

"I hope that doesn't mean what I think it means," Ben hissed, narrowing his eyes at North. Okay, he didn't want to get upset. Deep breaths, Benjamin. Deep breaths.

Ben crossed his arms, fists clenching until his knuckles turned white. "Don't insult my family," He growled, taking another deep breath. "I may only be a halfblood, but I'm just as good as you Pureblood folk." If he was a cat, he would've been lashing his tail right now. "Just because my Dad's a Muggle and my Mam is a halfblood, it doesn't equal low breeding, whatever that means. My blood isn't any dirtier than yours,"
