"i like her. kids these days, they can be so much more difficult than i was at that age. all attitude, acting like they own the world. but this one? she's a good one. she's kind and smart, smarter than most kids her age. i can tell that she can be a little self conscious at times, a little hesitant to dole out orders. but i don't think giving others a piece of common sense should be restricted by age.
"do i see her being the best warrior? no. she's a sweetheart, and someone like that doesn't belong on the battlefield, tearing at skin and playing dirty for a victory. maybe she'd make a good medicine cat, or one of those full time queens. somewhere where she won't get eaten alive for being kind."

"he's a good kid. i feel bad, that he's got his hearing issues - but he's the stronger for it, still becoming a warrior. i mean, obviously he's not perfect - he's a piss poor hunter. i'm working on that, though. give me some time, i'll have that boy as the best hunter in thunderclan.
"he's got a, uh, a thing going on with hollowmoon, and i'm all for it. they're still pretty young, and they should obviously be careful with their feelings, but they could certainly be happy together. honestly, applegaze deserves someone good, someone who can make him happy.

"oh, she's great. honestly. that woman has been through a lot, and she has so much more patience than i could ever manage, honestly. kudos to her for not just... snapping, like just about everyone else does. did. whatever.
"she's a great person, honestly. i've known her almost my entire life, even if not personally. she's been a great leader so far, and honestly, i hope she... she stays around for a while. i haven't seen a ton of her decisions so far, but i hope she'd who i think she is, willing to give second chances and forgive. starclan only knows more clans need to.
"and, y'know, she's kinda cute. but like a little too straight."

"listen, i'm not going to say i love the kid because i'm not some cheesy motherfucker. but holl is... one of my own. like if he was my brother or my son.
"he was my first apprentice, and i think he'll always be one of my closest friends. he's young, i think i'll always see him as that wild little kitten that i saw on the first day of training, but he's growing into a damn fine warrior, and i couldn't be more proud of the kid.
"he thinks a little... out of the box, but there's no shame in that. he's his own person, and for every shitty idea he has, there's a good one to match it. i think he'd make a damn fine leader one day, but i pray every night that we've got a good long while before he is in charge of anyone. and i think we all know that, should he ever be hollowstar, i'll still see him as hollowpaw first and foremost.
"i'm happy he's got applegaze. well, he doesn't quite have him yet but... i know he will. they're a good match, both good kids, and i appreciate that applegaze brings some logic to holl's insanity. he grounds him, and the kid needs something to tether him to the earth, both literally and metaphorically."

"foreststar is a saint, i'll tell you what. she's a good girl, deep down, but i think she can learn a thing or two about forgiveness. or, at the very least, lying. she's entirely upfront with everyone, a little confrontational, and i swear it's going to get her blind in her other eye one of these days.
"she's troubled. anyone could see that the things that have happened to her, half of which i don't even know, have left scars deeper than the flesh. she's got a long of anger, and i think she just wants revenge, no matter who it is that she takes it out on. she's got to learn that, sometimes, you need to put your vendetta's aside for the sake of your clan, and for your own sake. i don't... i don't see her ever being happy until she learns to come to peace in her heart.
"until then, though, i just hope she has the sense to stay out of too much trouble. some things you can't come back from, no matter how much the leader favors you.
