The idea of body changing, especially when that accompanied a shift in physical age, confused the serval to no end. Like how her mother, Coralie, could be a child now but Octoberkit definitely wasn't his natural kitten age in body anymore.

Still, the young warrior bit the inside of her cheeks as she held back saying something negative. Difficulty controlling powers happened commonly, especially to kids, but everyone could experience the problem. She tried to force herself to understand that and stop feeling so weird around these people with their mismatched mental and physical ages.

As she heard the news, a steady coldness settled over her expression, masking what else she felt. Perhaps this was, in part, her fault; her mother felt the need to leave this place, and it wasn't like they had a close relationship, anyway. But it didn't matter. Whatever. Everyone worth their life adapted to their circumstances, and so would she.

Sighing softly to herself, the serval moved to stand by Seraphim, brushing their shoulders together lightly to offer him support. They were feeling similar things, even if she buried her reaction under apathy.

In her efforts to clean out the camp after the various New Years Eve celebrations, the slender wildcat came across quite a few festively decorated crackers. Instantly charmed with the terribly noisy contraptions, she'd abandoned her cleaning efforts and scrambled madly to collect them all. Because she was such an adult, obviously.

Now, however, she had a rather large pile of crackers, but nobody to actually help her pop the damn things. What a predicament.

Incapable of even murmuring a half-assed wish for good luck or safe travels, the ornery teenager turned on her paws and walked out before she ruined this quaint example of familial bonds and love.
