[justify][fancypost borderwidth=0pt; line-height: 14px]A strange reality was touching down around the trainee, so much so that Dutykit at first kept a distance with rigid, reluctant posture. Whilst fleeing the downpour that had spilled over home, the hurried kitten had no choice but to have her attention snagged by the flurry Claudia had privately created over herself. "Are..." It took a moment for Dutykit to realize she had not only no clue who the other female was, but also didn't quite have an idea of what to say. She'd never been to exposed to powers before, all that she'd so much as heard of being far from as peaceful as this. Suddenly, all acknowledgement of the pitter-patter of the rain was abandoned and she padded her way instead toward Claudia. "Are you magical?"

Dutykit knew no difference between the nearly year old, scarred canine and a mythological creature never before seen, carefully picking her way through the snow with her head held high, approaching that which caught her interest. Coming nearer, she would have certainly spoken up right away if it weren't for Pippa's crestfallen demeanor. She elected to cautiously preserve the silence instead, debating then whether she should further investigate.

Dutykit maintained a hesitant distance, lingering in plain view, amber eyes studying the stranger carefully. "... You okay?" She eventually said, voice soft and lacking abrasiveness.

"Oh..." She mumbled, voice inaudible to any but herself as her perked ears caught how well clan activity had been. That had certainly been good news, as she now understood and took note that a new goal had been set to overachieve. She took a little glance at Claudia and Blazeheart before sitting herself somewhere nearby, raising her eyes to Phantom.

/Quickly wanted to mention that my username is now "smith" just in case.

[justify][fancypost borderwidth=0pt; line-height: 14px]/It's perfectly fine, just mentioned it to avoid any sort of confusion!

Dutykit's ears swiveled, flickered, twitched, but that was about the peak of the reaction she gave. Her brain took a while to process nearly everything he had said, so much speech at once with so many unfamiliar topics leaving her baffled until she rethought the words a few times over in her head trying to make sense of them and ended up missing quite a few lines that way. By the time the meeting had been dismissed, Dutykit felt slightly lightheaded with the effort to focus for so long, faintly recalling a few unfamiliar names having been called out in the dialogue.

When Claudia spoke up accepting a position, Dutykit's tail thumped happily from side to side at having recognized a face and being able to pair it with a name - she'd seen the female before. "Congratulations!" Dutykit felt was appropriate to say, although softly, glad she was sitting close enough to the other that she wouldn't have to speak up much. Afterward, she looked all around herself, in front and to the side and over her shoulder, wondering how everyone else had reacted to what was going on. Dutykit was just a tad bit lost, her young mind a little behind, but that was alright.

[justify][fancypost borderwidth=0pt; line-height: 14px]Uh oh. An adoptive brother of hers, whom Dutykit had the odd instinct to keep away from. He didn't seem all that friendly, that was, the vibe from him worrying to a kitten as fragile as herself, so she'd made a conscious effort to metaphorically tiptoe around him wherever he may be, staying out of his way. It wasn't her full intention to come across him, as she'd only heard his makeshift drumming echoing about the cave from afar. She'd followed the sound into it, something that perhaps wasn't the smartest idea, but with her curiosity and youth she hadn't thought twice.

Wanting to not distract nor bother him, she tried hiding the sound of her footsteps under the sounds of his drumming, lingering somewhere nearby but trying to remain silent. She couldn't help but stick around, realizing then that the sounds were in a pattern of some sort, trying to comprehend just what he was doing as her amber eyes studied the odd setup.
