The ginger kitten loved playing in the sun and letting it soak down into her fur, warming her whole body with a lovely tang of fun. The feeling was to be treasured ~ not often was the kitten allowed outside of the nursery this early. She had escaped now, however, and happily danced through the empty camp.
    Although she was happy to be out exploring, Fawnkit began to feel as if a dark presence were following her. However, when she gazed towards the sun, she saw nothing strange within it. Turning swiftly around to look behind her, she glimpsed a dark movement before a dark blob. She then gasped ~ for never had she seen before what she was seeing now.
    A duplicate kitten of herself sat on the ground, except flat and squished onto the soil. It had no color, simply a deep shade of dark grey with small dashes of white where its eyes should have been. Fawnkit leapt backwards in surprise, and the grey copy leapt as well, landing at the moment she did. Confused, the ginger kitten turned to the nursery, debating whether or not to find help.

Fawnkit wondered, surprise filling her slowly and strangely. She turned her amber eyes to look at Freckleface, who had always been nice to her. Freckleface can help me! Mewing softly, the ginger kitten explained her problems. "Theres a little, dark kitten following me! See?" she pointed with a white and ginger tail to the shadow, which responded by pointing it's own dark tail back at her.

    As the dazzling sunlight filled the nursery with its soft and beautiful glow, Fawnkit's eyes slowly drifted open. After her amber eyes had gotten their first sight of the day's sunrise, the kitten popped up onto her paws and turned to look at her sleeping mother. It must've been early, for everyone in the den was sleeping. "Good morning!" The ginger kitten chirped, her voice full of energy as last night's events were forgotten.

The ginger kitten bounded up, her white paws stirring up small clouds of soil as she approached. A smile lined her maw, which she directed towards the other WindClanner with a happy purr. "Hiya!" she chirped, leaving off the name of the one she spoke too. "Um, ma'am! I'm Fawnkit! Hi, hi!" Having never met Cam, the kitten wouldn't know her name. However, she decided she would be friendly anyways, why wouldn't she?
