[fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 428px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; line-height: 12px; font-size: 7pt]it had been a very long time since it had gotten the chance to wander around on its own - most days it wasn't allowed out of the family home or even out of it's nest in the basement. however, a lot of time had passed since his last episode and despite it's rather, eh, violent tendencies she was sure that nothing was going to happen - nothing this time around. it'd been locked in that room for many, many years and the craving had somewhat subsided despite the nagging need inside their stomach that screamed at them to be fed. ezhno had no desire to listen anymore, it had gotten most of her fun during her younger years but now that they were beginning to become a little older in age it was time it stopped acting like a blood crazed pup and acted as the elder de dieu that it needed to be. while they did not hold the title as the leader of the family - they were one of the oldest members left, one of the only few who could remember what the family had originally been. bloody, crazed, cannibalistic, spirits who had been so utterly lost in madness they'd formed an unbreakable pack bond that had them interbreeding and fighting and killing each other as if they were nothing but mere animals. maybe they were... ezh knew it was nothing more than a crazed, blood thirsty animal that had no other coherent feeling other than hunger. well, sort of... they'd been different from the masses considering what had conspired between her father and mother and what exactly they had spawned. it was confusing and there was simply no way it could truly tell the story of the de dieu family without becoming hungry - oh darn, what was it doing again?

as the creature was swallowed in the thoughts of their own mind small paws slammed against the ground as they propelled the little coyote forward; it moved quickly, much faster than anyone could assume would even be possibly - even for those who possessed super speed would be dearly confused by the flash of fur as the being moved through the trees of the jungle. then again, ezhno had never been a simple, or normal, creature and their advanced speed simply came with the blood that had been given to it by it's father. they had little to no difficulty as they weaved through the underbrush of the jungle; it was following the bond it had made the last time it had seen pup cyrus; when the other had been so small ezhno could have eaten him in a singular bite. they wouldn't, of course, they wouldn't hurt pack not now, not ever - pack was pack and they couldn't allow themselves to hurt pack, no, no, no, they needed to protect pack and they could never inflict pain upon their own family. it was one of the very few reasons that their body did not crave the flesh of the other de dieu's - the bond it had formed with them did not allow them to feel anything outside of safety and love. slowly the creature began to slow, her body beginning to run into a trot as they found themselves moving closer and closer to the nest of the exiles; the place that cyrus called home.

they stopped once they hit the cave of the group, her yellow eyes moving across the entrance before slowly moving forward - their body shifting as they did so, revealing the hairless body that lay beneath the skin of the coyote. the pelt hung of their back as the continued deeper into the cave - unafraid as they searched for one of the members of their pack. a member they had not seen in a very long time and one she was beginning to worry about; she did not like not knowing where each of her packmates were, and despite the fact that the feline was more or less an omega in their eyes it still needed to ensure his safety. they may not be the alpha but this was their pack and they could not allow a single member to be missing for as long as cyrus had been. they moved deeper into the gave, the further they moved into the darkness the brighter their yellow eyes seemed to shine. they were a creature of the night and caves, such as this one, were something of a haven for them - something they'd like in their own territory once they find an area in which to claim. pup cyrus had done well and it was proud to have them within their pack if this is what they found suitable for a home; slowly, the creature paused as they came to stand at what they assumed was the main nest of the group. prey walked back and forth in front of them, going about their daily business as if they had no yet spotted the monster that stood waiting for it's pack to arrive. quietly, ezhno sent out a wave of longing, a familial longing that it hoped the creatures understood as their desire to find his packmate.

[fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 428px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; line-height: 12px; font-size: 7pt]they were not sure what had exactly caused the de dieu's to release it, why the pack seemed so intent on allowing it out into the world, however, it wouldn't ask useless questions and would simply accept the fact that it no longer needed to be hidden in the deepest parts of the nest. they were free to wander once again and she was going to take advantage of the time he had before alpha tried to push him back into that cave, before the betas dragged it snarling and ripping into the cage which had been it's prison for two years. it respected it's packs decision to lock it away but that did not mean it had to like it - it could not control her frenzies and she hadn't meant to so viciously brutalize that child, it had simply happened and there was nothing ezhno could have done to take it back nor did it want to. there was a line that the creature drew when it came to prey and pack, prey was to be eaten and pack protected and if you did not fall into the category of pack... well, then it didn't feel bad for ripping you limb from limb and consuming your flesh - it was the way nature intended to work and ezh wasn't one to ignore it's biological and instinctual desires.

which may have been part of the reason it had followed this lone stag for as long as it had, it wanted it, it needed it, it wanted to rip it apart limb from limb and consume the warm flesh that was stored behind the fur. it could feel it's mouth watering at the thought, it was sure the flesh would be warm, perfect, the flesh would be smooth when he sunk his fangs into it and tore pieces of the flesh off the large deer. the large cougar paused as the deer began to slow, huffing as if it were out of breath - it most likely was, they'd been playing cat and mouse for hours now. they let a small smile twist onto their face as they pushed themselves against the ground, her eyes narrowing in on the deer as it continued to struggle into the jungle. then, with the grace of a predator, ezhno began to move forward slowly moving closer faster than the deer had time to realize what was happening. there was a pause, the world around the two seemed to freeze as ezhno moved ever closer to the unsuspecting deer whom had most likely thought it had won the chase, outrun the predator, how wrong it had been. in the blink of an eye the cougar pushed forward it's claws gripping onto the hind quarter of the beast and digging them into the muscle - severing the tendons that allowed the deer's hind legs to properly move. it was precise, clean, it had done this before and disabling and killing the deer would be nothing to them. it knew it had won as the deer hit the ground with the painful thud, screaming and sobbing as the cougar moved around towards it's flailing front legs; ezhno stared for a second, taking in the scene as their glowing eyes seemed to narrow slightly. then, like it had intended, they snapped their jaws around the deer's throat - digging in and cutting the air from the small thing.

when it pulled away it's lips were stained red, however, this kill had been clean and not a lot of blood had been shed - it was experienced, calculated, the result of a beast that been crafted to kill; a creature that did not falter when it came to the hunt. it had been born to be a perfect hunter, designed to kill, their father a wendigo capable of inhuman senses and speed while his mother, a skinwalker, could truly be the wolf among the sheep - wearing the furs of animals to hide among the very creatures it ripped apart. there was no denying that whatever kind of hybrid that ezhno was... it was not one of kindness or anything of the such, they were a monster. a primal, feral, deceptive, pack dwelling monster who knew only three things: eat, sleep, breed.

to do those things, it need territory, a pack; the de dieu's were it's pack but they knew those creatures were not big enough to act as a good enough pack - the alpha was small and weak and the other betas too collected, the omega breeding outside of pack - ezhno needed a pack that was collective, a pack in which they could rule over... they knew she was the alpha, she'd always been the alpha and he needed to ensure those around it knew that. the creature let out a soft rumbling from it's chest a slow breeze and the cougar found itself shrinking it's true form taking place as the pelt of the cougar laid haphazardly over it's grey skin. they were smaller and definitely not as built as they had been when they'd shifted into the body of the large feline but he was still collected, cold, and it's face covered in the blood of the deer.

then, they smelled it... this was another pack's territory - another group that ezhno needed to posses and control. he sniffed the air lightly a rumbling coming again from it's chest as it turned to the deer and began pulling it closer towards the scent. this pack was theirs now, this territory was theirs, they were the alpha now and they were bent on finding their new pack mates; they needed to know the subjects that would serve under them and offer them shelter and food. huffing, ezhno stood up - releasing it's grasp on the deer carcass as it's glowing yellow eyes looked out from the skull plastered across it's face. it let out a huff before sending out a large surge of emotion, specifically, that of longing, searching; they needed to locate their new pack.

[fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 428px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; line-height: 12px; font-size: 7pt]ezhno had not spoken a word since the moment he was born, not for lack of trying, but the simple fact he had been born without a voice - destined to live his life mute with nothing but rumbles and growls to help express it's emotions. it wasn't as hard as some would assume it to be - not when he had the emotional ability that he'd taught himself; no, it was rather easy to convey what he wanted or what he was thinking the problem was if the others could understand what he wanted to say or do. he stared at the packmate whom had just arrived - eyes narrowing as they made themselves appear bigger than they may have actually been. the other was large, old, and in a way, a threat to the alpha authority ezhno wanted to give off. it knew the other stood no chance against them but it still refused to allow a lower beta to even come close to the power she held. however, this beta was pack and despite the challenge the other seemed to give to the hybrid it knew it needed to remain calm. it let out a rumbling growl, before it decided to give some kind of vulnerability.

then, the cougar's body begin to snap, to reform, to shift until the creature standing before o'fraiser was no longer a large cougar but that of a small, hairless dog. the large bull-skull continued to stand upon their head and the pelt of a cougar laid across their back as ezhno slowly pushed it completely from her body. it was an old pelt, one of their favorites, and the hunt that had taken place to acquire it was one that remained fresh in their mind. it had been an unfair hunt, yes, but one ezhno had been proud of - it was a good thing it did not require the bottom of the furs or this fur simply would not have worked well for it. it blinked a few times, pulling itself from the feel of a hunt and stared at the other for a second as if contemplating what exactly he was supposed to do. they were pack... why was the other asking it questions? maybe it wanted one of those things that creatures used to often - names. that seemed logical, yes?

slowly one of it's hairless paws crept forward, large talons slipping free as the moved ever closer to the ground in front of the fishy-feline. ezhno did not know how to write, no, but from the moment archibald had become the alpha of the family he had ensured that ezh could at least give strangers it's name. it was better than the collar the last alpha had given it; there was a reason ezhno had ripped their face from their body - ezh was no pet, it was wild and it deserved to be treated as such. however, it liked the new alpha; he feared it and it liked that, but the alpha still taught ezhno things, things which allowed it to communicate with pack. one of the few things that alpha had taught it... was it's name - something that had never been uttered by the creature itself but the one that had been spoken when it's father threw it to the beta's in the time when the true bloods had lived in their pack. slowly, it's claw clanked into the ground, slowly running across the dirt as it made out the shapes that alpha had told it made out it's name. slowly, each letter formed in the ground 'E Z H N O' they looked up to the fishy-feline before snapping their paw below the written name 'D E' it glanced up again before looking back to it's claw again 'D I E U'. it had no idea what any of the marks meant but alpha had told her that it meant a lot for others and it was good for pack, and ezhno was nothing but a pack animal. his yellow eyes glanced up to look at the other before the claw instantly snapped back into his paw and the leg snapped back to her side. then, he shoved out a wave of emotion - the feeling that came with bonding, one to tell them he was pack now.

[fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 428px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; line-height: 12px; font-size: 7pt]they were not sure what had exactly caused the de dieu's to release it, why the pack seemed so intent on allowing it out into the world, however, it wouldn't ask useless questions and would simply accept the fact that it no longer needed to be hidden in the deepest parts of the nest. they were free to wander once again and she was going to take advantage of the time he had before alpha tried to push him back into that cave, before the betas dragged it snarling and ripping into the cage which had been it's prison for a little over two years. it respected it's packs decision to lock it away but that did not mean it had to like it - it could not control her frenzies and she hadn't meant to so horribly lose their composure, it had simply happened and there was nothing ezhno could have done to take it back; it also felt no desire to repent for their crimes. there was a line that the creature drew when it came to prey and pack, prey was to be eaten and pack protected and if you did not fall into the category of pack... well, then it didn't feel bad for ripping you limb from limb and consuming your flesh - it was the way nature intended to work and ezh wasn't one to ignore it's biological and instinctual desires. it didn't need to feel anything else, advanced thinkers were simply like it but on some better level if you could say that - maybe she was more accepting of it's deepest desires and did not feel the need to hide behind masks of those "civilized" beings or whatever they wished to call themselves. they were a predator and they accepted that fact without question.

which may have been part of the reason it had followed this lone stag for as long as it had, he wanted it, they needed it, it wanted to rip it apart limb from limb and consume the warm flesh that was stored behind the fur. it could feel it's mouth watering at the thought, the stag was young - the flesh uncontaminated and tough with youth, perfect, the flesh would be smooth when he sunk his fangs into it and tore pieces off of the large deer. snapping it's eyes up quickly the large cougar paused as the deer began to slow, huffing as if it were out of breath - it most likely was, they'd been playing this game of cat and mouse for hours now. they let a small smile twist onto their face as they pushed themselves against the ground, her eyes narrowing in on the deer as it continued to struggle onto the large plain. then, with the grace only accessible by an animal of prey, ezhno began to creep closer towards it's prey; pushing harder against the ground as they locked in on the weak thing. there was a pause, the world around the two seemed to freeze as ezhno moved ever closer to the unsuspecting deer whom had most likely thought it had won the chase, outran the predator, how wrong it had been. fast than one could ever consider natural, the cougar pushed forward, launching itself into the air and landing on the deer with a loud thump. it's claws gripping onto the hind quarter of the beast and digging them into the muscle - severing the tendons that allowed the deer's hind legs to properly move. it was precise, clean, it had done this before and disabling and killing the deer would be nothing more than a quick and easy task at this point. it blinked as the stag began screaming and sobbing as the cougar staring at it closly as it moved towards it's flailing front legs; ezhno stared for another second, taking in the scene as their glowing eyes seemed to narrow slightly. then, like it had intended, they snapped their jaws around the deer's throat - digging in and cutting the air from the small thing.

when it pulled away it's lips were stained red, however, this kill had been clean and not a lot of blood had been shed - it was experienced, calculated, the result of a beast that been crafted to kill; a creature that did not falter when it came to the hunt. it had been born to be the apex predator, designed to kill, a deadly combination of a skinwalker and a wendigo - an unholy product that should have been slaughtered the moment it came from the womb. there was no denying that whatever kind of hybrid that ezhno was... it was not one of kindness or anything of the such, they were a monster. a primal, feral, deceptive, pack dwelling monster who knew only three things: eat, sleep, breed. it did not care to think outside of that, felt no need, thoughts that dwelled outside of that were unimportant, extra, and simply unneeded when the cougar thought about it. other ideas were the productive of realization, they brought you nothing but pain and suffering and inside it's mind... well it did not need to worry about that process, the could not feel depression, could not miss individuals, didn't care enough to become lost in wondering where they stood in this world. they did not see their simple mind as a bad thing, not when they could so easily avoid the thoughts that crippled the intelligent - it wasn't a curse nor was it a gift because, to it, it was simply something they had accepted as part of it's existence.

however, despite it's tendency to not need to think or bond like other creatures it still desired the safety and power that came with being within a pack. the de dieu's were it's pack but they knew those creatures were not big enough to act as a good enough pack - the alpha was small and weak and the other betas too collected, the omega was off breeding outside of pack - ezhno needed a pack that was collective, a pack in which they could rule over... they knew she was the alpha, she'd always been the alpha and he needed to ensure those around it knew that; that they knew ezhno was the alpha of alpha's. they were the last pure blooded de dieu running about, the only one born of the blood of the wendigo ancestors and it was they who had been destined to run the pack, however, they had been locked away before they could take their birth power and they were left with nothing; too loyal to it's pack to challenge the alpha for the right to lead. slowly the creature stared at it's kill, pulling itself from it's mind as the cougar body begin to snap, to reform, to shift until the creature standing before the corpse was no longer a large cougar but that of a small, hairless dog. the large bull-skull continued to stand upon their head and the pelt of a cougar laid across their back as ezhno slowly pushed it completely from her body. it was an old pelt, one of their favorites, and the hunt that had taken place to acquire it was one that remained fresh in their mind. it had been an unfair hunt, yes, but one ezhno had been proud of - it was a good thing it did not require the bottom of the furs or this fur simply would not have worked well for it. the blinked a few times as it laid on the ground next to the corpse, pushing themselves against it in an effort to trick itself into believe it was in the safety of pack.

then, they smelled it and their head snapped up so fast it was a surprise it had not broken it's neck. their glowing eyes looked over the expanse of open territory as they allowed the scent to fill their nose. this was another pack's territory - another group that ezhno needed to posses and control. he sniffed the air lightly, a low rumbling coming from it's chest as it turned to the deer and gripped it around it's throat and began pulling it closer towards the scent. they didn't care to check if anyone had scene their slaughtering nor did they feel the need to worry, they would not easily die if they were attacked by some crazed animal or a disobedient pack member. all they knew was that this pack was theirs now, this territory was theirs, they were the alpha now and they were bent on finding their new pack mates; they needed to know the subjects that would serve under them and offer them shelter and food. huffing, ezhno stood up - releasing it's grasp on the deer carcass as it's glowing yellow eyes looked out from the skull plastered across it's face. it let out a huff before sending out a large surge of emotion, specifically, that of longing, searching; they needed to locate their new pack.
