The water around him tore at his wounds, causing the water to turn crimson in color. The canine winced, body shivering from the cold water water as he used what strength he had left to drive himself towards the rocky bank of the river. Dragging the limp body of the other dog onto the bank, Hux finally released his grip on it, realizing they were dead. Growling to himself, the massive hound staggered a few steps away before collapsing, the air being squeezed out of his lungs. The dane's body was covered in bloody lacerations, puncture wounds, and jagged rips that had only begun to stop bleeding. Glancing back at the corpse once more, Hux began to drag himself away from the bank, quickly seeking shelter within the brush until he he regained his energy.

    /rushed, sorry for the awful quality

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 115%]Irritation overcame him as he heard the voice, a low growling escaping his throat. He was in no position to defend himself, but if he was to die, he would die fighting. The massive hound watched the feline, stone-hard eyes locked onto Ben's figure, lips drawn back to reveal his fangs. "What do you want?" snarled Hux, voice low and stern.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 115%]"Leader?" inquired Hux, a sudden laugh soon following. "Would you like me to bleed off 'your' lands?" A smirk found itself across the great dane's face before he suddenly expelled a cough, blood forcing its way out of his mouth. "My name is Armitage, captain of my pack's first platoon. That over their is Ruby, my deputy," the male continued, jerking his head towards the dead girl. "We were attacked and most of my platoon was killed. She drowned when we jumped over the waterfall and drifted down stream." His voice remained monotone, expression and eyes revealing almost no emotion whatsoever. "And what is your name, boy?"

    [align=left]

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 115%]He disliked the idea of being treated by strangers, but he was sure another platoon would be sent out in search of him. Angling his large ears forward, Hux emitted a hum. "A leader doesn't get worked up over silly things," he rumbled, words aimed at himself. Emitting a grunt of amusement, he shifted his weight, wincing in pain as he did so. "Heh." Hux snorted at the nickname. "You are no lord of mine, nor do I hold respect for you, so formalities are not needed. Your name belongs to that of a bird that lives within my territory, one who likes to chatter and think they are more than they are. It than an accurate description, Little Bird?"

    [align=left]

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 115%]Hux paid little mind to the apprentice, ignoring them completely. Children had no say in this matter. "Your friend here is wiser than you," Hux barked, eyes resting back upon Ben. "She would make a fine platoon leader, where as you, Little Bird, would be nothing but a toy." Laughing once more, his wicked eyes wavered for a moment, his vision blurring in and out for a brief moment. Looking back to Sasha, his smirk only grew. "Taking a general hostage would not be in your best interest." He was growing tired.

    [align=left]

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 115%]Yellow eyes gazed out at the horizon, jaws agape. Massive ears would rotate ever so often as Armitage seemingly appeared to be listening for something. After quite sometime did he end his search, a growl of frustration drawing itself out of the back of his throat. Contracting the muscles in his legs, the dane attempted to rise to his paws, but the ruined tendons in his hind legs prevented him from doing so. Hindquarters collapsed back onto the ground, his front legs following soon after. There was no way he could leave this place in his condition. While his wounds were beginning to close, it would be a long time before his legs became functional again. Expelling a breath, Hux rested his head upon his paws, eyes narrowing as he watched a small cluster of children tumbling about. As they neared, one of the kitten's fell into Hux, spooking him and causing his to snap at the kitten. Frightened, the child squeaked and raced off, cowering behind the others.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 115%]Emitting a sigh, he turned to face the other male that approached him. "Considering I've raised three of my own, no." Children were only good for... Well, not much. His children's mother had died on a mission when they were young, turning Hux into the main guardian. "What do you want?" the canine inquired rather sharply.

    1. hux was abused by his father for several years until he was old enough to stand up for himself when an 'accident' happened that killed his dad
    2. he has three children from an old wife/girlfriend of his who are still in the old clan he is from
    3. hux also suffers from ptsd that i have yet to develop

    [align=left]

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 115%]Restlessness was beginning to grow stronger and stronger with every passing day along with irritation. Why had his pack not sent anyone to find him and his platoon? Deep down, he knew why, but he held no desire to admit it to himself. With the muscles and tendons in his back legs destroyed, he could not run, hunt, or, perhaps, even walk. While he was hellbent on doing so, he ran the risk of permanently damaging himself. Nonetheless, he was too stubborn to let the facts tell him otherwise. Waiting until most of the camp had been cleared, Armitage position his forelegs under him and pushed himself up, back legs being dragged up not a moment later. Wincing as pain shot through his hindquarters when he put pressure on his legs, the hound tried to take a few steps. Biting his tongue to prevent himself from crying out, he staggered towards the only exit he knew of. Along the way did his back legs give out over and over again, nearly bringing him back to the ground. Balancing himself out one more time, he found himself only a few inches from the exit, yet he was already quivering, nerves lit ablaze with pain. Panting, exhaustion was already setting in. "God dammit, work!" he snapped at himself before staggering a few more steps forward. He was going to get out of this god-forsaken place, one way or another.

    [align=left]

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 115%]A growl could not help itself from escaping as words met his ears. He had hoped he could slip out quickly and quietly, but it appeared his had failed on both parts. Turning his head, his eyes found Sasha as she approached. This place was, in fact, adjacent to hell. It was a sinking ship, and he had found himself aboard, trying to find the quickest lifeboat, but it seemed someone had claimed and cruised away with his first option. "I have no need for Ben's trust," he said, and all he said to that matter. He did not need to justify his actions. Pinning his ears back as the second arrived, a sudden and violent tremor began to rattle his legs before they finally gave out on him, no longer bearing the strength and energy to allow him to stand anymore. Deciding to just let himself go down as a whole, the great dane laid upon the ground, head barley hovering over his forepaws.

    Parting his jaws to speak, he was suddenly cut off by Sasha. A smirk soon found its way across his lips, something equivalent to a chuckle following shortly after. "I'm beginning to like this one." It was not for the pitying part, but the girl seemed to have a fine head upon her shoulders. Drawing his gaze towards the exit, he closed his agape jaws, eyes focusing on something that was not there. It would have been pitiful of him to return mangled and disabled with nothing to show. He had failed and disobeyed his orders by leading his platoon too far out of their post's range, leading to their demise. How would his daughter have looked at him seeing him how he was all while bearing the knowledge of his naive mistake. Expelling a breath, he rested his head upon his paws in defeat. Giving a small swivel of an ear, his yellow orbs finally drew towards Crowhops. "I'd rather die fighting than rotting away here, of all places." This clan was nothing like his home, not in any way, shape, or form.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 115%]this guy really needs to get out a a little more, however, as a fair warning, he is rather hard to talk to/get to know/bond with. he is currently open to everything, with the exception of litters and death.

    [align=left]

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 115%]ThunderClan was an awful place, one he was glad to put behind him. While he had not pledged his loyalty to them, he had simply stayed until he had healed. Hux was, however, fortunate they had allowed him to stay and mended his torn tendons and beaten up self. Where had he come from before? He would not say, not anymore, that was. The ebony canine was lost, unsure of where he was, but having been given directions, the male had found his way to the BlizzardClan border. It smelt much different than ThunderClan, but it appeared to be nicer, cleaner, and much more lively. Despite now being able to walk, his hind legs would occasionally tremor, threatening to give out if he continued to push himself. Feeling one of the said tremors, the former general sat, yellow eyes looking out. "Hello?" the great dane called out, "my name is Armitage Hux. I'm here to join." Was that how it went? To be frank, he really did not care one way or the other.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 115%]:^)

    He waited silently as the two strangers approached him, jaws agape out of a bad habit he had formed. The one who proclaimed to be called 'Neville' did not particularity stand out to him for he had seen many servals in his life, however, Falseprophets was another story. An interesting body for an interesting name. While Hux would not admit aloud his sudden liking for such a name, it was there. "Thank you both." It almost surprised himself how civil he was here compared to ThunderClan where he snapped at everything that came within ten feet of him. Perhaps, it had been because it was being suppressed, constantly watched and butting heads with whoever decided to challenge his sharp tongue. Hux did, in fact, have a gift for leaving those who opposed him rather speechless with his choice of words. Sarcasm ran strong within him.

    Finally closing his mouth, he took note how they said nothing more, thus he assumed BlizzardClan did not have any odd traditions he was needed to be informed of. Feeling his legs begin to restore energy again, he slowly rose, almost standing as tall as the lion before him.

    [align=left]

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 115%]Day by day were his legs getting stronger, the tremors not as violent and frequent as they once were. Despite that, he still could not stand for very long periods of time. When he was not occupied with something else, the great dane would go out for a run to strengthen his muscles, which may not be an excellent method if they were still repairing themselves. Having wandered out of BlizzardClan's borders, the hound ran along a beaten-down path, his strides getting longer and longer the more exhausted he began to feel. Finally, he reached his stopping point. A tremor shot through his back legs and the ebony canine skidded to a halt. Breathless, he began to walk, trying to compose himself. Upon reaching a nearby stream, Hux bent down, lapping up the cold water, wincing slightly as it stung the back of his throat. Seating himself, he looked about before he closed his eyes, listening to the sounds around him.

    [align=left]

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 115%]Now this was too bright. Hux almost had to squint to look at Mack, who had just earned himself a place in Hux's metaphorical book of world records. The dane had never seen so many colors all together, but he assumed that hunting must have been a bear to do in a body like that. Hux had no powers, thus if he wanted to hunt or hide, he had to do it the traditional way. While his black coat was not as good as a brown coat, it still served him rather well. "No. My legs don't let me walk far nor long - Not until they are healed, that is." He doubted the bird-dog wanted to stop and start every ten minuets to let Hux's legs recover. It annoyed him greatly, but there was not much he could do about it.

    As Tama arrived, his blank expression only lightened a bit from all of the friendly feedback he had been given. Despite his size, Hux was not a battle tank. He was made for running, jumping, and near infinite amounts of stamina. Because of those traits, he was an exceptional bird hunter. This was many times better than ThunderClan had ever been, even if he had not had a normal welcoming. "Hux. Just call me Hux if Armitage is too much." He had always gone by Hux out of habit, but he was no longer within the pack's ranking class, therefore, formality was no longer an issue. "Why do you talk in the third-person?" he question as Tama finished. Having noticed the odd speaking pattern, he could not help but try to sate his curiosity. Finally, he looked to Alastor. He had once known an Alistair, but both names had a different ring to them. "Thank you."
