[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: 0px solid white; width: 460px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 115%;]MEET ROSARIO ISAIAH HARPER, ALSO KNOWN AS ROSE, ROSA, RIO, AND ROS, AMONG MANY OTHERS. HE IS SAID TO RESEMBLE BRENDON URIE. AROUND SCHOOL HE IS KNOWN AS THE LOUD, TALKATIVE MUSIC GEEK, ALWAYS TRYING TO CHEER OTHERS UP WITH HIS JOKES AND CHEERFUL MANNERISMS. HE IS QUITE STUBBORN AND SOMETIMES VERY HARD TO KEEP UP WITH, AS HIS MIND SIMPLY MOVES SO FAST, BUT THIS DOESN'T MEAN THAT HE ISN'T FRIENDLY AND OUTGOING. HE IS VERY EXTROVERTED, AND HAS A QUICK WIT IN ALMOST EVERY SITUATION. HE'S EXTREMELY HYPERACTIVE AND CAN NEVER SIT STILL, SO HE STRUGGLES A BIT IN SCHOOL, BUT OVERALL, HE'S A VERY LOVING KID WHO JUST WANTS THE BEST FOR EVERYONE.
— cisgender masculine, he/him or they/them pronouns.
— pansexual && biromantic, with a very slightly stronger preference for women. | currently not open to any romantic interests or sexual relations.
— eighteen years old, born on september first, making him a virgo. currently in his senior year at badlands prep, and working at an ice cream parlour as a side job after school.
— is in drama club, as he has "quite the flair for dramatics," as his sister always says. it was also recommended to him by his mother when he was in freshman year, and he relied on his gut instinct and joined, and has been a part of it ever since. is in choir as a tenor, as he was recommended for it by his freshman music teacher. also takes part in swimming, which is virtually the only sport he is good at. he has considered orchestra before, due to the wide variety of instruments he plays/wants to learn how to play better, but he's never really done it, as he just does that in his own free time, anyway.
— mother put him here just as she put his sister here, due to its higher standards of education and teaching, and her hoping for a better life/more options for her children after what little had been offered to her as a teenager.
— his mother had also wanted him to get away from home at the time, seeing as he wasn't having the best time at home. he had recently found his sister after her most recent suicide attempt, and he would have flashbacks and break down every time he entered the bathroom. his mother wanted him to get a break from everything at home, including all of the tension with his teachers at school due to his adhd, so she decided to send him off, and she hasn't regretted it since then.
— very FORGETFUL, and yet still extremely OBSERVANT. he's always extremely HYPERACTIVE and FIDGETY, and simply can never sit still, due to his adhd. you would expect him to be very active due to this, but in reality, rosario has VERY LITTLE AMOUNTS OF ATHLETICISM, which is why he only takes part in swimming, to get all of his excited energy out. he's a bit UNFOCUSED and extremely CHATTY and TALKATIVE, which allow him to become a bit DISORIENTED at times, but he really does try his best to pull forward in school. he's quite well-known for his DRAMATIC nature, and his extremely OUTGOING and FRIENDLY demeanour. he's quite FORGETFUL and SLIGHTLY OBLIVIOUS at times, but he's also LOVING and EXTREMELY PROTECTIVE towards those whom he is close to. he's quite WITTY and SARCASTIC, and is a very QUICK THINKER. rosario is extremely LOYAL, DARING, and ADVENTUROUS, and always tries to be more HUMOUROUS and JOKING in order to make others feel happy, as he doesn't want anyone to feel LONELY, like, despite his usual REALISTIC and happy nature, is an emotion that he feels quite a bit of the time. a lot of his life is centered around him being extremely MUSICAL, as it's always taken up most of his effort, time, and energy, and he's devoted so much of his life to music. he can also be a bit CHILDISH at times, which can make him come off as OBNOXIOUS and ANNOYING to others, but despite his HOT-HEADEDNESS and WILLINGNESS TO SPEAK HIS MIND, he is a FREE SPIRIT and has a HEART OF GOLD, which is probably why he is so RECKLESS and OPEN.
— he was born to june and carson harper on on a warm september morning in las vegas, nevada, at precisely 4:52 am. he already had a sister at the time who was two years older than him named genevieve, and the four of them were quite a happy family. they lived peacefully in a suburban home in the large city, and their lives were quite uneventful, besides the usual birthdays and "first times." it wasn't until rosario was about three that his parents started acting... weird. they didn't get along anymore, and they were constantly yelling. it scared both rosario and his sister. his father didn't start calling them all names until a few months later. it was emotionally scarring, but it hurt him even more when his mother would sleep with him or genevieve at night because she couldn't stand being with carson for too long. when he turned four, his dad started hitting him and genevieve while their mother was at work. they were both scared of him. they were so scared of him that they never told anyone, and it went on for years. it wasn't until his father sexually assaulted genevieve (which rosario only learned about later in life, as he had been seven at the time) that their mother finally divorced him. he was put in jail for fifteen years, but rosario dreads the day that he'll be released all the time. he was also diagnosed with adhd when he was eight years old, which explained his troubles at school and why none of his teachers seemed to like him. he started taking medication for it, but unfortunately, he was allergic to the medication, so he couldn't continue with it. this only hurt his grades even more at school, and it didn't help that his older sister had stopped... acting like herself. he went on like this for a few years, but then, when he was eleven, he found his sister lying on her bed, not moving. he saw her empty prescription bottle and knew exactly what had happened. it was traumatizing. and then, when he was thirteen, it happened again, except this time, it was an image he knew would never leave his head: his sister lying in the bathtub with nothing but her bathing suit on, covered in her own blood and scars littering her wrists, a bloody blade lying next to her. he had called the ambulance and she was brought back to good health within one or two weeks, but the memory haunted him for months on end. he would break down sobbing every time he entered the bathroom, plagued by the image of her almost lifeless body. that had been in eighth grade, which was why his mother had decided to send him off to badlands prep for high school. to get away from home and have a fresh start. and while going to the boarding school did help, he never forgot the memory, and it only caused him to develop panic disorder when he graduated from middle school.
