and then she hits land.

her body slides across sand and she can barely acknowledge that she has stopped moving altogether. the warm waters steamed the strength out of her bones, lithe body shaking as a result, and her weathered hues are glassy, eyes heavy lidded. the water destroyed the scent of the clan she came from and even if she did know the name, she wouldnt have been able to give it. not now, atleast. not like this.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]allie isnt sure how she got in this situation. she knows that she fell into the river, and she knows that it was in her home where polarispride and mallowkit are (or were- she hasnt seen either as of late). so she was playing in the stream, making faces whenever she caught sight of her reflection, and then the ground beneath her gave way.. she fell in and.. beached here, somehow.

the fast approach of pawsteps alert the child, and despite how her head pounds when she moves it with the slightest of motion, she tilts it toward the hovering creature as a force drags her further onto the beach. a voice buzzes in her ears, anxious, but alicekit cant make any sense of its words, finding it as an annoyance more than anything. her jaws crane open with the intent of telling the buzzy "bee" how unnecessary it was for them to speak in her ear, but no sound susurfas aside from a dry, half-conscious wheeze that leaves her throat singed. when the attempt to speak fails, the child gives up on the idea of answering lani and lies there, shuddering on a beach with narrowed eyes squinting into a vacant space.
