Other than Christmas, the whole thing was just depressing. All the birds were gone, it was cold, snow, cold, that black ice you can't see that always makes you slip onto your butt, cold... the whole thing sucked, really. December wasn't so bad, but January and February could go fu-, err, frick themselves.}

She would be happy when it was spring again. For now, she just wanted to get to RiverClan and out of the cold.}

_{Looking down at the kitten, who was much smaller than she, Margaret couldn't help but smile. Dogs were supposed to hate cats, but how could she when their kits were so cute? And RiverClan was supposedly full of cats, so even if she didn't like cats, she'd have to put up with them anyway. "Hey there! Yeah, that'd be wonderful! It's wonderful to meet you, Nebulacub!" The collie said, her tail waggling happily.}

_{Turning to Duncan, she would dip her head. "Thank you, I'll be sure to come to you if I need help!" The she-dog said politely. Was he... a dire wolf? From his size, it seemed so. She had never seen one before, only hearing about them from tales her mother used to tell her as a pup. Cool.}

_{Margaret, like Harrison, was also glad to see another border collie. Perhaps this wouldn't be so bad. Smiling back at him, ears perked, she would speak. "Thanks! It's a pleasure to meet you, Harrison." She then turned to Lonewolf, wagging her tail in greeting. "Thanks, nice to meet you, Lonewolf!" Huh, odd name for cat, but cool nonetheless. It seemed fitting anyway.}

This was much to her surprise, as she hadn't been expecting to get wrapped up in clan politics right away.}

_{Margaret had heard a bit about ShadowClan from other strays before she joined, some of them saying how great it was, but from the things she had heard from other RiverClanners... she wasn't so sure. They sounded like bullies, and if there was one thing she hated most, it was bullies.}

_{Sitting at the entrance of the cave, the she-dog gazed out at the territory. Even though she didn't like walking in snow, she had to admit, it was pretty. If only it didn't stick around for so long. But her complaints aside, it was finally Christmas, one of her favorite holidays! It was just a shame she didn't know anybody here yet, as she didn't have any gifts to give them. Perhaps it was time to fix that? "Hey everyone, meet and greet over here!" Margaret would call out, a smile on her muzzle.}
