Aside from in the highest reaches of the mountains, there wasn't much snow to play with in Alola, but considering they were islands with a climate often akin to that of a place like Hawaii, it's understandable. Guzma's experiences with snow are practically nonexistent, but he's aware of the concept; he feels no desire to roll around in it, but watching October is fairly interesting, particularly considering the excitable demeanour of the much larger animal. He seems determined to build something out of the strange, white stuff, the first of which he became acquainted with in BlizzardClan, and it's only when Duncan pipes up (damn, he's big) that it clicks in his head. Right. A snow fort. As a kid, he used to make forts out of leaves and the stupidly long grass of his home, or out of blankets and pillows, but that was a simpler time. Not happier, but.. easier. Though contemplative, Guzma still manages to wrinkle his nose a touch, his expression a half-sneer, half frown as he studies the situation with alarmingly impassive eyes. With nothing to offer, he keeps remarkably quiet, tail-tip flicking absently.

The one thing he'd been able to stomach doing with his parents had been play board games, because it meant he could keep his mouth shut, ignore the tension, justify the time as family bonding and keep as far away from touching them as possible. Of course, he'd only been very young at the time, not quite loud enough about who he really was to cause much anger, but still, he'd always felt the disapproval of his father, and board games had been the only outlet that'd let him win. Isolate himself in his room and his dad'd scream that he didn't spend time with them, do anything else and he'd get punished for insolence.

Clue has weird, bittersweet memories tied to it, as most board games do, but the male doesn't really care. They're enjoyable, and damn it, if he can gloss over the negative thoughts, then he will. "Ain't nobody better than me at Clue." Big bad Guzma puts on a shit-eating grin just for this situation, faux cockiness filling him to the brim. It's draining, but hell, he can do it here.

The only one of any interest was the one with the paints, and aside from that, Guzma isn't particularly entertained by them, even if the intention is always weirdly.. humbling. People didn't tend to bring gifts back home, as much as Nanu tended to make sure they were fed, so this.. is always appreciated. Still, Guzma and gratitude don't always go together, so the feline can't exactly offer a thanks, instead lingering near Tama and eyeing the baskets. Guzma's grinning, despite the fact that he feels a little bit like a living popsicle, because— well, look. Nanu's surrounded by scarves, and he's got one on himself, not particularly stylish, but he'd not expect anything from the Officer-slash-Kahuna. Former Officer-slash-Kahuna? Does Nanu still retain his ranks? Ah, whatever. It doesn't matter. That begrudging respect'll probably never fade, regardless of how Guzma chooses to deal with it (very badly, and often with plenty of teasing, much like now. He's terrible with any form of gratitude, it seems) — and if this is any indicator of how he likes to stomach his tumultuous emotions, it's probably safe to assume that his methods are particularly unhealthy. That's not the point, though, and it never will be. The point is that Nanu's got a scarf around his throat, and then a bunch more littering the ground immediately about him, and Guzma finds it hilarious for some reason or another. Maybe it's the lack of sleep finally kicking in, giving way to a weird sort of mania, or maybe it's just that it's really, really funny.

Halting nearby, the feline shifts so he can settle down, studying the mass of scarves acquired by the apparently-baffled serval. "Didn't it go as planned?" Of course not; anyone can see that, but Guzma still asks, because he's a bit of an ass, particularly when it comes to Nanu, but it's all.. well-intentioned. Yeah. "You got a thing for scarves, or something?"

So he's getting an unfinished tour? Oddly, he's not as pleased by that as he'd thought, but the relief is enough to wash away the slight disappointment, because he really couldn't do a full wander about the place in one go, least of all not in this state. Having returned his Golisopod back to its ball, there's nobody to carry him around, so Guzma's forced to wander about on foot without any guaranteed alternate method of transport, and the concept of having to walk only a little is one he's not about to turn down. "Ghost city?" Reminds him of Po Town, and that's not a bad thing. "Sure, whatever." He glances to his side as she falls back to walk along with him, somehow matching his stride (and he's glad, because he's never really liked following, not entirely), expression shifting to something a little less irritated. "How long've you lived here?"

New people don't tend to do it, really — for some reason, his demeanour seems to push them away from bothering with him, often leading to a lack of particularly close friends (or indeed any friends at all). Still, ever since he met Sylmae, he knew that throwing her off'd be difficult; she's one of those that, from his first impression of her, is doggedly determined to be nice to everyone, regardless of who they are, and these sickly-sweet people are the ones that don't take a damned hint. Still, she's not.. annoying. He's not irked by her presence, but he's startled by the nickname. "Yeah, that's right. Big bad Guzma's got a brand new bod." Dark eyes shift over her body — she doesn't look so hot, but he doesn't ask why — and he sits back, still grinning contentedly.
