I mean I saw your username and I,, was so surprised. ;u;
I didn't know that you were still around here, and now I can't imagine doing this with anyone else.
but !! yeah if you are willing! oh man, this made my day.
I think that combining the plots sounds so fun and so interesting. I'd definitely be willing to put them all together, but of course slowly at first. Can't use up all our ideas right at the beginning- but if it's you and me back at it again, I'm sure we can always come up with more. ooh I'm just so happy to see you again, wow wow !!
-
yeah, I took a couple months off at the site transfer, and when I came back things were rough and everyone I knew was gone too.
so would our characters know each other beforehand, simply through early training/briefing? or maybe they're newly assigned partners, or uhh?? and then yeah, maybe they're on a minor assignment just to scope out the area, but they're caught, and have to pass it off as them trying to find the gang in order to join it?
ahh and then,, I had said Johto, but if it's more of a gang I think I different region might suit it better. so maybe I'll keep my character from Johto- should this agency they're working with be like the international police? so members from and working all around?
but then I'm not sure which region we should place this in.
we would have gotten a lot farther if I could have just buckled down and kept with it,, I'm still sorry about that. >_>
but yes yes, this is going to be so fun!
-
Mm, yeah, so they don't know each other very well at this point, sounds good to me! So inexperienced, maybe a tad reckless or trying to show off, good good. International police, good. Kanto works fine with me!
So we should pin down an exact town, or maybe a city might work more easily? A name for this bad organization, ah, any other details we should work out first?
-
Yeah, I think that Saffron city would be the best option. It would give us a lot of options too, because you can expect almost anything in a city that big. There's also the magnet train, so easy transportation from between kanto and johto. Maybe this could be a another plot point, secret imports/exports, and trying to spread the gang I guess?
I've still gotta work this team out, I think they'd be a pretty well-known group in the area at least, like the people know not to mess with them. Bleh, still a lot of thinking to do.
-
Yeah, yeah that sounds good! I really like the idea of the admins focusing on one skill. I can picture them as a funny bunch, for sure.
But yeah, take your time! I'll try to work out the details of the team, come up with some rough sketches or something, and we'll see where things go from there. ^^
-
Yeah I like it!! A good dynamic between all of them.
Tristan also looks great !! I mean I only had the chance to glance over him right now (I'm getting called away for a bit),, but I mean I've never known a character of yours I haven't loved.
I've done a quick sketch of Team
grunts, really basic and I'm not sure if I'll keep it but it's a start at least! I felt like they'd be cooler colors like blues and grays because they would mostly stand around as security at these underground fights and stuff, and something about the color scheme seemed more professional. Anyway, link to them is here.Ahh, I've gotta run but when I get back I'll pin down a personality/battle strategy for Shi, and work out whatever else we need!
-
Thanks!! And yep, they're some kind of ear pieces.
Oh yeah, guess it's getting pretty late there! I can't think of anything at the moment, so goodnight & rest well! I start classes tomorrow morning
I am very nervousbut I should be back around the afternoon- probably 2:30 here, so uh 8:30 where you are if I remember correctly? -
Maverick Alessi
- Advanced student ; Dragon Type Leader ; Team Dusk
Current Team: Flygon, Aggron, Garchomp, Hydreigon, Taillow
It was the first day of classes, and Maverick Alessi was in denial, to say the least. He had been on top of the world as he soared through the skies, winning race after race on the back of his trusted Salamence. But an accident, a foolish mistake, and he was sent spiraling, crashing into the ground, and his dreams crashing with him. He had recovered quickly enough, but his pride had been damaged, and his confidence in his abilities shaken too, not to mention his anger at himself for hurting Crimson, his flying partner. The dragon-type pokemon was still in rehab, and though Mav would go to visit him often, the trainer was often so ashamed of what happened that he couldn't bring himself to look his pokemon in the eye. It had all been his fault.
While his coaches and publicity agents had insisted he continue flying with his equally well-trained pokemon, Flygon, Maverick refused, and instead fell off the radar for a few months. He took some time to recover, of course, but even though his injuries had healed, he seemed to have sworn off flying. And so he had chosen to attend the Elite Pokémon High School. He had gone on his journey across Hoenn already, but there was always more to learn as a trainer. And if he wasn't going to fly, he had to find something else to occupy his time. Still, he couldn't believe that he was at a school rather than his usual training facility.
Ace, his recently-hatched Taillow circled above him for a bit before diving down to rest on his shoulder. The tiny bird chirped, signaling that it was time Maverick moved from the outer doorway of the boys' dorm building. His class wouldn't be until the very end of the day, which was a relief, as he wasn't quite sure he felt up to it just yet. "Where d'you want to go?" he murmured, moving a hand to stroke the top of Ace's head gently. Another little chirp, and Mav decided he would just wander around the campus for a little while, at least until the classes would begin,

Name: Shiloh Mason
Nicknames: Shi
Age: 18
Gender: female
Pronouns: she/her
Orientation: asexual, demi/heteromantic {basically: attracted to guys only after being close friends with them, and not a fan of real sexual intimacy}
Appearance: Shiloh is a somewhat shorter girl, standing at 5'4", though she insists that this is perfectly average. She weighs about 122 lbs. Her skin is a tanned olive color, while her eyes are a kind of hazel, leaning more towards brown than green. Her hair is wavy, semi-dark brown and cut pretty short, with the longest strands falling just below her chin/jaw, and shorter in the back.
Her usual outfit is pretty basic, tennis shoes, shorts and a sleeveless top, over which she wears a sleeveless, pink/purple hoodie, sometimes with a matching headband. In colder weather, she switches to full jeans, and throws on a hoodie with sleeves. Nothing fancy for her, just clothing that's comfortable and lets her move around easily. She's not opposed to dressing up, but she won't unless she needs to for a formal event; however, it should be known that she's just as good a fighter in heels, perhaps even a bit more confident.
General Personality: Shi is just the opposite of her nickname- rather than being shy, she is friendly and outgoing, and overall carries a pretty cheerful demeanor. She can come across as a little naïve, and a bit impulsive, acting on her emotions or instincts rather than stopping to think logically about a situation. She's a bit trusting as well, assuming most people who smile are good and genuine, when this is not always the case.
It shouldn't be mistaken as a lack of intelligence, however, as Shiloh will prove herself to be quite knowledgeable both in and out of battle. She knows all kinds of attack strategies, which moves an enemy pokemon is likely to use, and how effectively she can fight back. Outside of battles, she is highly observant of people and patterns, particularly in regards to security routes, and she always seems to know when someone is suspicious of her, and how to put a stop to their doubts.
As far as romance goes, Shiloh hasn't had very much experience herself, but she's by no means ignorant. She's gone on dates and been in one or two committed relationships, but she was never sure how comfortable she was with her partner, and so the relationships dropped after a few months. She got nervous at any talk of the future- being invited to weddings or annual family get-togethers. She simply couldn't picture herself in those situations, and the thought of anyone else imagining such things about her freaked her out a bit. She liked the companionship, but anything beyond that had her spooked. She's not very good at relying on others.
It should also be noted that although she is fairly outgoing, she still experiences pretty bad anxiety. Oftentimes she'll simply try to use her fear to fuel her to be successful, to not allow her worst outcomes to turn into reality. However, this does not always work. Even before being given an assignment, she can usually be found trying desperately to calm her breathing, sitting down or holding onto something as she grows dizzy. It also gives way to insomnia, and even when she can sleep she will typically experience severe nightmares throughout the night, leaving her tired the next day. She deals with it as best she can, keeping it to herself so as not to be a bother or give anyone doubt about her abilities, but it is not something she can always control.
Overall, Shiloh is kindhearted and caring, maintaining her team well and devoting all her energy to the agency, wanting to do her part in making the world a little better, a little safer. She is very loyal to her close friends, maybe even clingy at times if she's comfortable eno. A harsh word from them can shut her down, as she values their opinions and friendship almost more than anything. Constructive criticism is fine, but needs to be delivered carefully else it might shock/shake her.
Battle Personality: Shiloh likes to surround herself with sturdy pokemon, and while her team isn't especially full of bulky, tank-like pokemon, most of them are able to withstand quite a bit of damage in battle. She favors Donphan, both for being her starter and long-time partner, and also for its excellent defense against a number of types.
Most of her team lacks in speed, however, but under Shiloh's training they are heavy hitters. If a move isn't super effective against an opponent, it likely will not be used in battle, unless there are no other options. She is an avid fan of type advantages, and keeps a careful eye out for pokemon with moves that might cripple her team.
In battle, Shiloh is patient, but aggressive. She will not prolong the match any more than she has to, but she is not afraid of wearing down her opponents if she must, poisoning them and watching and waiting for them to fall. Sometimes the greater win is a psychological victory, rather than simply winning outright. While her nature outside of battle is impulsive and emotion-based, in battle she focuses on strategies and precise type calculations.
It can be frustrating to have her as a partner in a double battle, since she typically won't match her partner's speed. She likes to finish things on her own, and so she can get annoyed if her partner goes in for the KO before she can, something about it makes her feel... inferior, and that is not something she likes. She's strong enough on her own, she doesn't need anyone else to rush in to save her.
Additional info / Random facts:
- Shiloh has held the title of Bug Catching Champion four years in a row. Her longest record before this was three years, thwarted when she was 13 by a true bug catcher she will never forget, or forgive.
- She's a big fan of the Pokeathlons, and since she lived so nearby in Goldenrod City, she went to watch them constantly. She only participated in a few when she was younger, but she hopes that maybe she can go back for a few wins sometime soon, just for the fun of it.
- Completed the gym challenge in Johto, but never bothered to challenge the League. She didn't doubt her abilities, but her utter awe and admiration for the Champion Lance stopped her, as she didn't want to see a childhood hero fall, especially not at her own hands.
- Pretty skilled with computers, particularly hacking into frequencies, from all her time living right by the Radio Tower,
International Police: Rather than waiting to be recruited, Shiloh went right on ahead to draw the attention of the agency to herself. She had always known that joining the force was something she wanted to do. Maybe she had watched too many shows about spies as a child, but she was certain this this was the career for her. She absorbed as much information as she could, analyzing shipments to the large department store, and tuning into the many radio frequencies emitted from the Radio Tower. She was able to intercept a transmission that was meant as a signal to steal a shipment of valuable battle items.
Her work at such a young age did not go unnoticed, and just as she had hoped, the agency soon contacted her, asking her to take part in a newer program focused on using the skills of a select few, younger recruits. Their "innocence" would be used to deceive and infiltrate, among other things. Shiloh immediately accepted the invitation, and eagerly began her work for the International Police. Soon enough, they called her over from her home in Johto to participate in a mission to disband a large group that was disrupting life in Saffron City. Ready to prove herself, she hopped on the Magnet Train to Kanto, eager to start real field work.

ahh, thank you !! good news is that I only have to tomorrow, one online I can take whenever, and the other two won't start until september, so I'm kind of easing into it. although I'm sure it's gonna really hit me tomorrow. I'm not ready to be a college student. ;<;
I'm too nervous to sleep haha, so I went ahead and expanded on Shiloh's form.
Did some more thinking about a team, I thought a periodic elemental name would be fun? Mainly because I'm just a big chemistry nerd, but still still it could be fun. My first idea was Team Aluminum, because aluminum is non-magnetic, and I just thought of the magnet train. It's kind of a long and bulky name though, so I'm not sure.
Other ideas were Team Carbon, Team Cobalt, Team Mercury,, but of course I'm still searching.
-
Oh! Sure sure. Obviously there's no pressure, but I'm looking forward to seeing what you add! Though I do plan on sleeping eventually, probably.
Ah yeah,, elements are good!! I think I'm liking Acron the best? And Carbon. They're pretty tied for me..?
-
Acron it is, then!! Cool beans.
And yes, I am going to sleep now. Goodnight from me, but good morning to you!
-
Nice nice !! I'm off to school I guess, but I'll letchu know if I come up with anything else and then uh, are we ready to get started?
-
I made it through the day!! And it took twenty minutes but I managed to connect to the wifi here, thank goodness.
I guess I'll go ahead and get things started! Just as soon as I can quiet down a bit, I'm still pretty jumpy from today.
So I'm thinking maybe they met once, briefly, at some training seminar, and all other communication has been online up until this point? So they're somewhat familiar with each other but they still don't really know one another.
-
Yep yep sounds good!! Alright cool beans then, I will get this started as soon as I can. ^^

"You have arrived in Saffron Station. Please remain seated until the Magnet Train comes to a complete stop."
There was a gentle lurch as the inter-regional train pulled into the covered station, the passengers on board holding their things tightly to themselves so that their belongings didn't roll along the floor. At the quiet 'ding' of a bell, a light switched on to signal that it was safe for the passengers to move again, although most of them had already stood to gather themselves and push out onto the platform. There was no time to dawdling, and the moment one person stepped into the center aisle, they were expected to hurry along to the exit. Everyone had people to see, places to see.
No exception from this crowd was Shiloh Mason, a young girl excited to arrive in the Kanto region. She had visited before, but it was especially exciting now that she would be taking a job in the huge Saffron City. She had been recruited by the International Police to join a team of covert operatives, chosen for their skills and for their youth. There was a rapidly growing problem in the city, with "Team Acron" interfering with shipments, placing bribes and making threats, and there were rumors of fights, terrible battles, in which the organization drove their pokemon to fight to the death as entertainment. And Shiloh had been assigned to gather as much intel as she could, assess, and concoct a plan to bring down this group. She wouldn't be working alone, of course, and that was why she had been called in a day before the real briefing.
She stepped onto the station platform, taking a few minutes to collect her thoughts and realize that this really was happening. It wasn't something she had dreamt up, rather, it was the start of something new, something real, and something sure to be exhilarating. She pushed back a few short strands of hair that hung in her eyes, looking up as she walked out into the city. She had come from Goldenrod, the largest city in Johto, so she was used to the massive skyscrapers and bustling atmosphere, but it was still quite a sight to behold.
She glanced down to the note she had received earlier, giving her the address of where she was supposed to go once she arrived. From what she could tell, it was simply the local police station, which would generally be serving as their primary headquarters, at least until they were deemed fit enough to go into deep cover. In the meantime, Shiloh guessed that she would be faced with getting to know her new partner, as they would be working closely together on their assignment. They were both new to the agency, she knew that much. And his name was.. what was it again? Tristan, Tristan Pyre? Pyne, she corrected herself as she remembered a little more about him. They had met in person once before, at a very basic seminar for all the new recruits. She remembered him being tall, and she couldn't help but wonder how well he would do undercover, or sneaking around. He was sure to be seen, wasn't he? But she had to trust that he was there for a reason as anyone else was.
She was quite nervous, she realized, as she fidgeted with the straps of her bag while walking to the police station. She was confident enough in her own abilities, but she hadn't had a partner like this before. She had to wonder how well they would get along, if their skills would offset each other's, if their pokemon would be compatible in battle. Releasing the breath she hadn't known she was holding, she looked up at the signpost, indicating that she had arrived. There was no use worrying about it. The other trainer would likely show up any minute, and she wasn't about to let him catch her having a nervous breakdown. She was going to leave a good impression, she knew, and they would work together just fine and climb the ranks until they were the best pair to rely on in times of need. She grinned to herself, giving a slight nod of her head as she decided that would be the only outcome. Everything would go just perfectly, she knew it.

She had only been standing in front of the station a couple minutes when a voice greeted her. Her eyes shot sideways, and she quickly turned the rest of herself to face the one approaching her- by his height and the way he greeted her by name, she knew this had to be Tristan. "Good morning," she offered in a cheerful response, her tone just barely hiding the excitement she felt. Shiloh gave a quick nod of her head as he thanked her for waiting. "I figured, since we're gonna be partners from now on, we should really start this assignment together." She left out the part that she was simply to nervous to go in by herself. She worked just fine once she was comfortable, but getting over the hump of something so new and so unfamiliar took a bit of courage. However having someone by her side in the same position seemed to take some of the stress.
"Well! Definitely not going stand around out here," she agreed, returning his smile and a short word of thanks as she entered into the building. While the windows from the outside had been tinted, they offered a full view of the streets from inside, behind the glass. The front lobby had a spacious feel to it, with a high ceiling and open floor plan. There was a desk near the door, where people could come in to file reports and the like and there were a few offices along the hall, though she assumed there were more up the stairs in the back. There was a woman sitting at the information desk who caught Shiloh's eye, and knowing she had caught the recruit's attention, motioned the two to a room off the side. "Guess we're going this way," she whispered, tilting her head back to look up at Tristan before she led the way.
The room was small, with padding on the walls that could only be soundproof. There were a couple long tables with swivel chairs lined up along them, but other than this, the room was empty. As the two rookies walked in, a man entered behind them, closing the door. "Pyne, Mason," he spoke, his voice sounding just as professional as the formal suit he wore. He stood just a couple inches shorter than Tristan, but still tall enough that Shiloh felt intimidated. "Welcome to Saffron City. As you know, you've been called here to look into Team Acron. If our higher agents weren't away on other missions already, we would have never assigned this to a couple of recruits. However, we believe you to be talented enough, and a fresh take on the situation might be just what we need to move things forward," he explained, moving to the front of the room. In his hands he held a file, appearing to be sadly thin.
"What we know about the team is, unfortunately, very little at this time. Your assignment, then, is to learn as much as you can. Who the executives are, who the face of the organization is, and what their long-term goal is for this city." He turned to look at them sternly, his dark eyes piercing through them. "You are to observe, but interaction with Team Acron is strictly forbidden, do I make myself clear?"
Shiloh found herself nodding along his speech immediately. This man was being absolutely certain about staying away from the team. Were they really that dangerous? They must be, if such a high-ranking officer of the agency warned them to be so careful. It only made Shiloh more excited for the task at hand. The man, satisfied with his instruction, did stick around to answer any questions. He left the folder on the table, then left the room, speaking one last time at the door, "I trust you won't disappoint," before leaving the two rookies to figure out the next step on their own.

Oh boy guess who's tracking the heck out of this!! ^^
When I saw the title my first thought was the little mermaid,, particularly TLM2 with the walk around the castle woah
