I'm down to make a separate thread for a small group/guild!! that'd be pretty fun!

The girl's mouth formed a small 'o' in surprise as Ro playfully bowed to her, but it quickly turned into a smile. "You're a weird one! But I guess I'll keep you around," she laughed, shaking her head lightly. Her smile faded to a gentle grin as he comforted her. He was right, she guessed. He was a fairly well-known scout for his skills on the front lines, she knew this. And he had already successfully pushed back against three pkers. If he wasn't going to worry, then neither would she.
Lia was still caught a little off-guard when she was swept up again, though she really ought to be used to it by now. They passed through the streets quickly, if she hadn't known better, she might've thought this was some hack into the game. Could his speed really be this high? A few minutes later and they had reached the market. Ro set her down, and she held onto his arm for a moment, steadying herself. "Ah- thank you," she said, diverting her gaze to the shops. Again, he was right: many of them hadn't opened yet. She watched as they began to open slowly, wondering what they ought to look for first. "Y'know, I wished I could open a shop in a little market like this," she began to speak, just trying to fill the silence. "Except I'd have to complete every quest first, so that I could really call myself an items master. But I guess.. in order for that to happen, we'd have to reach the 100th floor, and by then? The game would be cleared and we'd be free." She paused, worried she might be talking too much. She hadn't really voiced her thoughts like this before, she realized, and it was probably inconsiderate to overstate to something of a stranger, so early in the morning. She laughed sheepishly, a little embarrassed. "Well, let's stop here first, I think," she switched soon after, pointing to a small wooden building. "Can't hurt to get a few more crystals, healing, teleportation, and so on."

There was a moment after Sakiko had made her request, she couldn't tell what the shogun was feeling. Was he upset that she had asked to see his -to see their- home? She grew worried, though her expression wouldn't show it. She was a royal guest and his bride-to-be, so she could expect some kind of preferred treatment, but she couldn't allow herself to be too forward. If she didn't win him over and earn his complete trust, then there was no way that the plan could work. Her father would be left in his state of distress, and the people of Japan would continue to suffer under this man's tyrannical rule.
So when Soraya broke out into a wide grin, the young princess was caught by surprise. He wasn't stern or cold, as she might have expected him to be, but he was warm and inviting. There was almost a childlike aspect to him, one that reminded Saki of the younger children in the village. Whenever they discovered something new or exciting, they would run to her and beg to show her, to share the experience with her. Was that how Soraya felt now? She wondered if he really could feel that way, or if he was only being friendly out of politeness. Still, she was grateful for the opportunity to learn more shout the area, and how those closest to him were affected by his rule. She braced herself for poverty-stricken streets, with beggars and homeless families on each corner. She was prepared to see death and disease due to a lack pf treatment stemming from a lack of care; when one came from such a noble and wealthy background, could they ever truly care for the poor, or were their politics simply mistaken as genuine kindness?
Her lips parted in a small smile. "Thank you," she said yet again, bowing her head to him. A few locks of her hair spilled over her shoulders, earning a gently frustrated sigh as the young woman pushed them away, taking a moment to wish that she had pinned her hair up. It was such a minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things, and one that she would forget and move on from shortly, but each passing breeze she had to pause to fondly remove her hair from her eyes. Pushing past the thought, she wondered what she might find in the shogun's palace. Beautiful décor, truly inspired designs, elaborate halls? And surely no end to poorly treated servants. She had watched her father, surely a better man than Soraya, mistreat the lower class, so she had no doubt in her mind that this man would be worse. So she had to steel her mind, to prepare herself not to become defensive or hostile if he showed his true colors once inside, because the smiling man standing before her now surely could not be the same horrible rule she was meant to kill.

do we want to have a small chatting/plotting thread, and the roleplay? I'm gonna make a different character for this, I think. Do we need another boy or girl? Trying to keep things a little more even.
-
alright, thank you! I'm out and about now, but if I have time later I'll see what I can do to help out!
-
-
no worries !! it happens. from my experience, it's usually because there's no real direction, no same goal. we always want the freedom of moving our characters however we please, but when everyone goes in different directions, no one interacts and the thread fizzles out. but I think if everyone unites under one guild, and we plot different tasks and adventures, then it could be really good!
-
I'm actually making the chatting thread right now! I'll mention everyone once it's up, which should be in just a couple minutes. c:
-
Hey!! So you guys know what we're here for. Some solid SAO guild plotting!
Some points to consider:
- The original thread had us near the start of the game, only a few floors in. That means our characters would have lower skills, fewer items, pretty poor armor, etc. Do we want to keep this, and start on one of the first floors? Or do we want to skip forward to when they're a bit more experienced?
- How will all of our characters come together? If no one's opposed to it, this new character I'm making could certainly rally them together. I think that could give us an easy starting point- everyone's characters all together in a tavern to discuss forming a guild.
- The guild name! Of course the characters will be deciding this in the roleplay, but we should still discuss it here to make sure that everyone is on board. I'll put up a poll once we get a few options!
- How big do we want this guild? I don't want to put a limit on your characters or creativity, but I think we should start off small at first, and then maybe add in more as we go along? However, I'm not in complete control of this at all! This is our guild, and our thread!! I wanna hear what you guys think!

I think I tagged everyone who expressed interest in it, but I'll post the link here just in case!

Yeah!! Starting them earlier allows for a lot more character development, and building a stronger foundation for friendships and whatnot.
I totally didn't think about characters who already know each other, I think that's a perfect way to gather them all. We're always inclined to follow what our friends say/do, so if it's recommended by word of mouth from friend to friend, or blacksmith to client, that should work really nicely!
I haven't even decided on a name for this guy, but I'm sure he'd want something fun and friendly.
But yeah, like I said, the last thing I want to do is limit you guys and your characters, I just didn't think we should start off with twenty people in a brand new guild- which, I see, we won't be, so I'm not concerned about numbers anymore. ^^

~ Here you are, friends!! Let's get this party started. c;

nice nice !! I went and made the thread in case anyone wanted to get started. my data plan is about up so I can't do much more on mobile, but I should be back home soon, finally, where I can get on my laptop and finish this kid's form! Then I'll jump in with the rest of you lot.
I don't have anything else to add before people get started, except maybe follow vermillion's example and post your character forms here please just so we have easy access to who's who!
edit-- if anyone's wondering, the lyrics in both titles are from songs from broadway aladdin!
