    i have a whole storage about the phobias floating around somewhere hh && i don't have many notes revolving around the underground bc wow its detailed and im too lazy to write all that BUT here's a condensed version

    the underground was a trafficking system worked by mothernature, the matriarch of the dreadful / phobia family, who caged unwanted children, slaughtered them when they get to be a certain age, and shipped them off to multiple consumers. no payment was required or anything bc really, the phobias got enough out of scaring the children bc ya know, fear is what keeps them going and a child's fear is 👌👌 so.

    alice + sleeping notes

    - exhausts herself easily as she goes on through the day, so by the time the sun sets she's barely coherent to the going ons around her and notably more mellow.

    - usually lapses into sleep without any trouble but if she's struggling she'll make a cup of hot tea or warm milk. warm ink??

    - if she stays up longer then she normally would she screws up her schedule completely and turns into a total zombie. it's hell to get her back on track.

    - snores?? snores.

    - a blanket hogger, her significant other would have to fight her for the covers.

    - wakes up really early in the morning, just before dawn, and once she's up, she's up.

    I. as expected of a cartoon, alice has a very expressive and flexible face and she's extremely dramatic in most given situations. she lives for theatrics, and can put on a very sickeningly and somewhat cliche show of prowess, misery, etc, should she feel like it.

    — little quirks; almost always bites her lip and makes faces when lost in thought, prone to talking to herself either aloud or in whispers, might make hand gestures whenever she does talk (especially if it's something she's rather passionate about), puffs up her cheeks whenever annoyed or fuming, she falters and stumbles over her words only when interrupted, cupping her cheek in her paw when being sarcastic or covering her mouth when shocked, blinking rapidly when failing to understand something, rubbing her temples when stressed before then dragging the paw over the rest of her skull as if she can "sweep it under the rug" (bonus; alice often forgets she has horns and sort of jumps when her paws connect with them)

    i. she's acting out for attention. nearly everything she does— every spiteful comment, every time she pushes a button, every inexcusable action— is all to get someone to notice her. this desperation for attention derives from her life in the studio— her toys had flopped, she often felt out of focus both onshow (which, initially, she didn't mind since bendy was the star) and off, believing that the team wasn't interested in her own lack of progress as long as bendy was going somewhere; basically, she felt ignored and unappreciated. yes, she knows that there are other ways to get what she's wanting but alice has always had a knack for theatrics.
