愛 ┈ He met the gaze of Bethany, eyes fearful and body trembling. He listened to her words. No, no. He wouldn't let this happen. "Wait-" The elk would begin, before he was cut off by the excruciating burn of his soul being torn. It hurt like hell- and he had the scream to prove it.

    It's over, this he knew.

    "Maura. throat."

    Now the elk lay in a pool of his blood, gurgling for a few seconds before lying still. His eyes would not close. They would stare coldly at anyone who caught its lifeless gaze. For those that would find his body, it would be a horrific sight.

    //alrighty, opening!

    愛 ┈ The recent events had left the newly reincarnated canine on extreme alert. He was constantly in fear of dying again, and his new fear of wolves had not shown any chance of passing. Throughout the past couple days, Chestnut had gotten little sleep, as one small noise or voice would cause him to flinch. It seemed he would never be his old self again.

    Chestnut had stumbled across the relatively new BlizzardClanner and now eyed him strangely. Was he talking to himself? What a weirdo. He was going to scare someone in particular if he was going to talk so suddenly. The alabaster canine padded up to Kukui warily.

    'Hey, uh, you okay there?' He would ask telepathically. It sucked that he was mute in this body. But hey, at least he was still alive.
    //woah ninja'd twice

    愛 ┈ Since dying and reincarnating, Chestnut had developed a stranger-danger complex, even for others he knew very well. So, the offer of a sleigh-ride made him wary, but he needed something relaxing. The canine concluded that if one of his friends got on, he would join.

    Chestnut made his way closer to the sleigh, still keeping his distance. He would then wait patiently for someone to act as a confirmation that he was nuts, telepathically sending to Matty a 'Hello.'

    愛 ┈ The alabaster german shepherd had caught the sound of an unfamiliar voice and had jumped. Why are you such a coward? Chestnut would ask himself, annoyed. Well, maybe it wasn't just his newfound cowardice. Maybe it was just the fact that he used to be an elk, and now that he was a dog, his sense of hearing had drastically improved.

    He would pad up to the group taking a seat a small distance from the others, a welcoming smile on his face. The german shepherd would then send telepathically, 'Well, welcome to BlizzardClan! My name's Chestnut, by the way.'

    愛 ┈ Empty. Cold. Black. Yet, conscious? Somehow, Chestnut was alive in some way: some way he did not know. Yet he didn't have a body. He couldn't see, taste, hear, smell, or touch, but he could think. But.. I'm dead... The male would protest.

    That wouldn't last long. Soon, he was hundreds of feet away from the murder scene, and he was curled up in a ball, sleeping. Wait. He didn't sleep like that. What is going on? Chestnut would think, panicking.

    He quickly shot up. Now he could see. Not only could he see the freshly fallen snow on the ground, but he could see a few animals gathered around what seemed to be a dead body. Oh, that's horrible.

    Chestnut attempted to shout at his friends, to ask what was going on, but nothing came out. No matter how hard he tried, no sound would escape his lips. Okay, stop messing with me.

    Now he would feel the cold of the snow on his hooves. Wait- hooves aren't supposed to be feeling cold. Gingerly, Chestnut looked down to see...

    Paws? And white fur? Holy shit! He was a dog!

    //really rushed

    愛 ┈ Kukui seemed to know many others, for when he talked about all these teams and all these unfamiliar names, Chestnut's thoughts swirled chaotically in his head. What does he mean? Who's that? What's that? The canine would cease his thoughts, biting his cheek in agitation.

    Chestnut relaxed and listened to the other german shepherd's reply. If you say so. was a sentence he almost sent to Kukui, but he decided not to, for fear of offending his clanmate. So, he would settle with this, 'Alrighty. You're Kukui, right?'

    愛 ┈ Since his recent death and return, the german shepherd had been terrified of wolves. After all, he had been killed by a wolf, and his soul had lost a piece in the process. When he caught scent of the dire wolf, Chestnut began to tremble. But- he figured- This one might be friendly. Not all wolves are out to kill you, He would reassure himself, biting his lip as she followed the scent.

    Now he had arrived at the bottom of the steps where the stranger stood. Oh no, he was going to break down. No, Chestnut. Keep your composure. The canine's teeth would sink deeper into his lip before he smiled weakly at the newcomer. To make matters worse, he had made himself bleed. A droplet of blood hit the frozen ground as Chestnut chuckled nervously.

    'So, uh, name and business?' He would send telepathically.

    愛 ┈ interaction thread w/ chestnut?

    愛 ┈ could you make? i can make if you're in a rush though.

    愛 ┈ Chestnut would pad over in a very tired post. He then would greet the dragon telepathically, 'Hey, I'm that elk that you met when you joined, but a few things happened (it's a long story) and now I'm a dog! Funny how things change so quickly, right?'

    愛 ┈ The duties of a leader were usually too heavy and burdening to gain a dual membership. It seemed this leader thought she could handle it, though, so Chestnut wouldn't judge. The canine would pad over, a small smile on his maw.

    'Welcome, Morningharbor. My name is Chestnut, by the way,' The mut greeted his new clanmate telepathically.

    //ahhh centurese!!

    愛 ┈ Creating things had never been his forte when he was an elk. Hooves didn't do much. But now he had paws, and the mutt was quick to pad over when he caught a glimpse of Kamari making a flower crown. Hmm.. maybe he could make one too!

    'Hey Kamari. That's a nice flower crown you're making!' Chestnut would compliment her telepathically.

    愛 ┈ //bump! (just so people know what happened to chestnut lol)

    愛 ┈ /retro to death + new body

    The elk nodded in greeting to his leader, then turned around and covered his eyes with his hooves. "Alright, counting!" He would say, then would begin to count to thirty. One.. two.. three.. four...

    愛 ┈ It had been a little while since he was murdered and reincarnated, but he still wasn't healing. The nightmares he'd had before his death had progressively gotten worse. He wouldn't wake up to whacking his antlers on the top of his den, fortunately, but that was the only upside. Chestnut would wake up and cry- cry until he couldn't anymore. Then, he would pull himself together and go along his day as happily as he could. The mutt had to live a positive outlook; After all, he should be grateful that he was still alive.

    But was he really happy to be alive? Was he really happy to be suffering every night, and if he didn't suffer, that just meant he was sleep-deprived.

    The canine would shake these thoughts off and slip out of his den, watching the snow fall and catching flakes on his tongue.

    愛 ┈ Click!

    愛 ┈ friends w/ chestnut?

    愛 ┈ Someone was approaching him! Finally someone would explain to him what was happening. Maybe it was all a dream, and they would say something weird, waking him up.

    It was Barry! He started to say the golden retriever's name, but remembered once more that this dream wasn't letting him talk. The mutt still wagged his tail happily, tongue lolling out of his mouth with relief.

    "Hello..uh, I'm Barry.... name and business?"

    What was he talking about? Chestnut knew Barry, so why was he asking for his name and business? Oh- yeah. Chestnut had almost forgotten that he was a dog and not his usual elk self.

    Frustrated out of his mind that he couldn't speak, he would think to himself, 'What the hell is wrong with you, Chestnut! Wake up! It's only a dream!' The mutt had not realized that it had been telepathically sent to Barry.

    愛 ┈ The stranger had noticed Chestnut's anxiety. Great. With a sheepish smile, now, he would listen to him, simultaneously suppressing his trembling as much as he could. Great, Chestnut. You sure made a great first impression of BlizzardClan, The mutt would scold himself.

    'W-welcome to BlizzardClan. I'm Chestnut by the way.' Chestnut welcomed his new clanmate, giving a short glare at Killua afterwords. Chestnut wasn't the one making the bad first impression, as it seemed Killua had done it better.
