"speaking"

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 0px black; width: 330px;]✿| Once again, Chestnut was amazed at the flow of newcomers into BlizzardClan. He wondered if he was even considered "new" anymore. The elk arrived on the scene, observing the unfamiliar canine.
The newcomer almost reminded Chestnut of Mack, the colorful macawnine who was a friend to many in BlizzardClan. The orbs in the newcomer's head were a bright magenta, like two little pieces of candy. This stranger seemed to be flamboyant and almost always happy by his appearance. The elk concluded that this canine would be great in BlizzardClan.
"Hello. My name's Chestnut," He wouldn't ask for name and business, as Pierce had already done that.

    "speaking"

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 0px black; width: 330px;]✿| 'I'm Shane Dawson, the new local fatass.'
This guy sure loved to crack jokes, as Chestnut could observe. Even though he was laughing in his head, the elk simply smiled, flicking an ear. He then listened to the canine speak once more, nodding when he expressed how he felt about meeting Chestnut and Riddlersgame.
"Well, we have an auto-acceptance policy. Welcome to BlizzardClan, Shane!"

    "speaking"

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 0px black; width: 330px;]✿| The sound of his friends' voices and one unfamiliar voice caught his attention while on his daily stroll. They weren't very kind words either, he observed. Insults, even. Hopefully there wasn't some kind of scuffle going on. Ears straining with alertness, the elk would clip-clop towards the voices.
Chestnut eventually ended up about 10 feet from the group. Upon arriving, he had caught ear of Speccy slighting the stranger about his appearance. He was surprised at how rude and blunt the feline was being (as he was still becoming familiar with his clanmates and hadn't seen this side of Speccy), but, catching ear of the newcomer's reply, the elk guessed they were just having fun (or the newcomer deserved it).
Chestnut made his way closer to the others and took a seat, listening to the end of the conversation before butting in. "Hello. My name's Chestnut." He then turned to his clanmates asking, "What's going on?"

    "speaking"

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 0px black; width: 330px;]✿| The tension could be felt in the air. Chestnut wasn't sure if he should be in this environment, especially if a fight erupted. Even though he looked intimidating, he didn't have much training. His sharp antlers might be good for harpooning people, but he didn't know how to use them.
He relaxed, but only a little, when Speccy reassured him. Red was right- a high position shouldn't treat a newcomer like that, but the newcomer was retaliating. He had a feeling something was brewing, and he didn't like it.
"I'll tag along with you, Red, if he wants a tour," Chestnut offered.

    "speaking"

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 0px black; width: 330px;]✿| It was always great to have new members in BlizzardClan. Even if they couldn't contribute much, there was always some contribution; either they made others laugh, smile, or think. Plus, it was always great to have a large and welcoming clan, as it gave clans a larger and more positive reputation.
So, when Chestnut caught a whiff of the unfamiliar smell, he was elated. They had another joiner- well, potentially. Hopefully this one would be kind and appreciative. The elk made his way towards the smell and stopped next to Speccy, smiling at the feline. He wouldn't say anything since there were already lots of questions being thrown at the newcomer.

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 0px black; width: 330px;]✿|"Sounds simple," He would say, flicking an ear. He wasn't very good at hiding, though, with his antlers and all. Maybe he could seek? "I'll seek," Chestnut offered.

愛 ┈ //FOR THOSE THAT JOIN ONCE THE THREAD IS OPEN: I'm not killing chestnut off; he will reincarnate and possibly be different as this has traumatized him.

For the past few days, Chestnut had been having nightmares. They weren't just the nightmares that you have where you wake up and the you continue on with your day normally wondering what the hell was up with that dream. They were the nightmares that you constantly thought about. They were the nightmares that you woke up from in cold sweats and just laid in bed for hours trembling.

What were these nightmares about? They were about being hunted. Not hunted like being hunted for a bounty because you did something wrong, but being hunted like prey. Every nightmare, he would be taking a stroll, and BAM! A large creature would have his jugular in its teeth. Then he would shoot up, sometimes whacking his antlers on the top of his den. His head hurt. His body hurt. He was haggard and broken due to fear and loss of sleep.

Chestnut had contemplated for a while on whether his daily stroll was a good idea anymore. Maybe the stroll would relax him and stop the nightmares. But... what if he was killed on his stroll by that creature? What if the dreams were an omen, telling him to stay cooped up at home or else he would die? No, no, no. The elk was officially nuts. There was no way something that happened in a dream would come true.

Chestnut and his skeptical self dragged him out of bed and out of his den. He needed to take that walk, otherwise he would go bonkers. Nothing would happen to him, he was sure of it. Or was he?

"God, dammit Chestnut! You're fine!" He would mutter under his breath. Then he would continue walking, tired and oblivious of the next sequence of events that would follow.

    愛 ┈ bump!

愛 ┈ could you make? i need to catch up on some unread replies at the moment. i can make if you're in a squish, though!

愛 ┈ Chestnut thought. What was the number one would usually count when playing hide and seek? Oh- now he remembered. "I'll count to thirty," The elk would state, "Is everyone ready?

愛 ┈ Killua was right- a dragon's wings were loud enough to be heard without someone screeching. The elk had heard the wings pushing against the wind from quite a distance, and he didn't have particularly exceptional hearing abilities. Chestnut hadn't seen many dragons in his life, so he figured he would investigate.

Upon overhearing the dragons' desires to stay in BlizzardClan, he quickly trotted over to the group, a welcoming sparkle in his espresso hues. "We have plenty of places for you to sleep plus a plethora of food. Of course you can stay here. My name's Chestnut, by the way, pleasure to meet you both," The elk would greet the reptilians, taking a seat by Red.

愛 ┈ Like many times before, the elk had been on a stroll, checking out the scenery of the territory and observing the beauty of winter. He knew the colder months wouldn't last long, so he was cherishing it while he could. After all, his species felt the most comfortable in the cold, so why wouldn't he take numerous walks to make the most of it?

Chestnut had come across Grunt, who he saw stand up from what seemed like a place that he'd been sleeping. The poor guy- he must have been terribly tired. The elk clip-clopped up to the newly-joined BlizzardClanner.

"Hello there," Chestnut would greet Grunt.

愛 ┈ It seemed there would be a coincidence in store. The elk had been taking in the beautiful sights of winter when he noticed the unfamiliar vampire. Maybe it was another joiner, like the many joiners BlizzardClan had gained very recently.

Chestnut trotted over to the stranger with a welcoming smile. "Hello. My name is Chestnut. Name and business in BlizzardClan?"
    //lol tired + no muse

    愛 ┈ //woah track so i can read later

愛 ┈ No. It was happening. You knew you shouldn't have gone! Great, Chestnut. You're dead now. Chestnut had started to panic upon catching ear of the piercing howl. A wolf was probably after him and it was all his fault.

And he was correct. There the canine was, eyes drilling into his. Chestnut was a deer in headlights (pun intended), and there was no way he was going to survive this one, especially when his legs trembled so much they buckled underneath him. The wolf had not been able to knock Chestnut down, as he had done it himself. The elk was vulnerable- he was going to die.

"P-please. I'll do anything for you... just don't kill me..." He wailed like a lost fawn.

//it's okay if you take part of his soul c:
