Echopaw had awoke earlier than normal and had quietly left her den to see who all was awake. Sitting down to let the sun warm her long fur, she lifted a paw to her mouth before rasping her tongue across it a few times. She had just begun to drag her paw over her ear when a reddish shape slipped out of the warriors den, stretching. Foxtail. He looked around the camp before starting over to join Echopaw, their sister still asleep in the warriors den. He nodded in greeting to his sister, too tired to think about speaking. She dipped her head slightly before continuing her grooming.

A yowl from the apprentices den was more than enough to startle Petaltail awake, but when she heard nothing besides other cats waking up she stretched and exited the den calmly. She blinked against the bright light, frowning as she didn't see her brother. But when she turned her head to the other side she found him and bounded over. "Morning you two." Her voice was soft as she sat at her brother's side, their fur mingling. She didn't mind when neither Foxtail nor Echopaw answered, figuring they were still waking up. Which they were.

Petaltail touched her brother's side with her nose before going to where her leader had called her name. "Yes, Ashstar?" The tortoiseshell she cat dipped her head slightly to him as she spoke.

"Good morning Talonleaf." Echopaw called out, seeing her mentor outside their den. Foxtail looked over to see where he was before resuming his grooming, glancing at where Petaltail was every so often. Echopaw rested her paw on the ground, satisfied with her pelt.

Petaltail was a bit surprised to have been chosen to help assess the apprentice's hunting but she gave a small nod. "Of course." She agreed, looking to Asterfrost. She had caught how he had asked the question and was wondering how he would respond to this.

Petaltail dipped her head to the leader. "Of course." It made sense to bring her and Asterfrost, they would balance each other out while watching the apprentices.

Echopaw Rose to her paws, stretching before looking to her mentor. "Alright." She agreed easily, her tail flicking slightly as though to get dust off it.

Breath coming quickly, Saph was pressed against the wall of an alley struggling to calm down. They had been so close to escaping the city when guards came after them. She had expected more soldiers to come after them, but she wasn't complaining. Her best friend had pushed her into the alley before darting off to keep them from catching her. She knew she'd be able to slip out now, but there was no way she was leaving him alone.

Adrien's feet pounded on the city streets as he ran, taking quick turns and trying to speed up in an effort to lose the soldiers chasing him. But that meant he had no idea where Saph was, and he could only hope she was leaving the city and heading to their rendezvous as they had discussed. Knowing his best friend the way he did, Adrien was certain that she would definitely not be doing that. That would involve listening to him and leaving him behind to flee from the guards himself.

Peering out of the alleyway, Saph was relieved to see a crowd. She slipped into it as it passed her, hoping to come out the other side to get closer to where she had seen Adrien disappear. She began weaving between people, struggling between wanting to get through and wanting to seem natural. She found herself suddenly wishing her hair was a less obvious colour. Every soldier in the city must be lookingfor her. She ducked her head as though that would help and kept weaving between people.

Adrien finally managed to lose his guards and he ducked into an alleyway. Pushing his hair out of his face, he began to try and find his way through the alley back to where he had left Sapphire. He hoped that if she wasn't there it was because she had left, not because she had some idea to leave and go search for him like he had told her not to a million times.

    ((It's okay! I understand!

Adrien paused with a soft groan when he didn't see Sapphire waiting where he had told her to. He turned, already walking quickly back down the alleyway. He was hoping he had been too far back to have been seen by any of the soldiers out on the streets. He looked up to see a girl. He barely had time to look surprised before he ducked his head. He couldn't turn away, there were more soldiers. But if he went forward... She might be more dangerous than a soldier.

Sapphire finally made it out of the crowd, glancing to either side before she darted into the alley, hoping the shadows from the buildings might hide her hair a little better. She ran a hand through her hair, pausing once she was a few steps in. She wasn't a people person, and that had been far too many people for her to try and move through.
