    "Wha...what?"

Nebulacub had never got to see a birthing before, and what she saw was...was very..she didn't know the word for it. It made her feel queasy, like it was something indecent instead of natural. "They're...cute? I think? Uhh.." The kitten stepped backwards. "I'll go get one of the medics to check on them." With that, the kitten sprinted right out.

The Riverguard flattened her ears, unable to speak for a moment while she processed what he was saying. Despite hearing it in her head over, and over, and over again it was another thing entirely hearing someone else say that yes, she was hurting her mother with what she had done. "T-They're trying. The spell..it's...it's complicated at best. I..I can't.." She was starting to shake a bit. She really couldn't do anything, not unless she wanted the Clan to mistrust her any further.

But hearing her half-brother defend her, she stopped. "Y-Yeah.." She squeaked out, turning around to leave the den with her fur still prickling along her spine.

Another child. An elder brother? Nebulacub perked her ears a little and dared to go towards both mother and aunt, her eyes locked on the stranger. What was she gonna say? With her elder sister in the Rift, it was easy because she talked enough to keep her interested. But this one didn't seem to talk much, did he? The clouded leopard sat down, curling his tail over his paws. "..H-Hi, big brother."

Nebulacub looked up at her mother, skittering close to her legs as she couldn't help but cower at all the faces. She didn't blame her, but she knew that others did. Herself included. But hearing Duncan's words made her angry, especially with that smirk. She knew he didn't approve of her much by the way he spoke to her parents. "He blames me too." She sighed in her mind, her tail bristling as it whipped back and forth in her agitation.

    "Mom lets...lets just go.."

"But..but how?" Nebby's ears pinned back further against her galaxy coat, shaking a bit. "I-I can't fight, or hunt, and...and my magic only causes disasters. How am I supposed to protect RiverClan if I can't even get out of the camp? I'm dead weight until I'm older, and that...that isn't going to be for a while."

She looked up at Kali, her ers flattening further while she pulled her cloak back up over her eyes. "But actions define you, right? Everyone's gonna look at me like I'm a freak..like Duncan and Fisher."

It was her last summoning, she hoped.

As much as her magic and spells meant to her, her summoning was becoming too dangerous. It was taxing a toll on those around her and herself, and she couldn't bare it anymore. There were so many other spells in her tome, she knew she could learn them with ease without hurting another, yes? She was going to make RiverClan proud of her one day. She just needed to correct her mistakes.

It was easier summoning a demon. Some prey, enticing blood, the correct circle and spell, and you had yourself a vicious monster to deal with. But to summon something from your own plane while it was mixed with the essence of another plane was another thing entirely and demanded a much more personal offering. "But if it's to get my father back." She thought as she drew the final touches on the circle. "It'll be worth it."

She stepped back, looking at her handiwork with a small form of pride. It was much larger, much more intricate than her other ones. It needed to be to the letter if it's going to do the task at hand. She looked at her trembling paws, taking a deep breath to steel herself for the next part. "Now for the hard part." A white claw unsheathed and was placed against the delicate shade of blue enveloping her fur.

"Qesw swez zhydd, E kybu bosy. (With this spell, I defy fate.)" She started to recite, placing the claw on her chest. Red ran down her chest in a trickle, causing the demi-angel to almost lose her nerve. "Qesw swez xdaak, E xyzyypw swy koln. (With this blood, I beseech the dark.)" Her claws continued to scrape downward, blood touching salt with a sizzling hiss as the ground inside started to glow a slimy green. "I can do this..." She took a breath to steady herself. "Qesw swez abbylefr, E podd ihaf swy Sqezsefr Fyswyl. (With this offering, I call upon the Twisting Nether.")

It happened in an instant. The pain. She felt like her entire body was searing itself from the inside out as a fraction of her soul was ripped from her body. The starry-looking whisp howled while it was forced to the center of the circle, becoming engulfed immediately in hellish green flames, forming the beginnings of the portal that had haunted her day and night. She steeled herself once more. "One last push."

"XLEFR TY SWY AFY QWA QOZ DAZS! (BRING ME THE ONE WHO WAS LOST!)"

The portal exploded in front of her, singing bits of her fur with it's intensity. She had done it. Cade could return.

OOC: Rushed at the last bit. Please don't post until Cade does <3

With the portal intact, Nebula crumbled to the ground. The spell had taken most of her energy as well as her soul, and it was going to be a long time until she attempted something that large again. "I just hope it works." A cold pit of fear was starting to form in her stomach. What if she summoned something worse, like the apocalypse? "I can't be that strong, can I?"

But the portal started to shimmer, and out came the one she wanted. She got back onto her paws hastily, watching her father with huge eyes. "Daddy!" Nebulacub cried out, running into the circle and kicking up the salt as she aimed to tackle her leg. Due to the disruption of the salt, the portal vanished behind him. "Your home, daddy! I got you back, I got you back!"

OOC: I might as well throw Nebby in xD Stating interest!

IC: Nebulacub prowled on over, a bit more cheerful now that she had made sure her father was back where he belonged. She had so much more energy now that she wasn't moping around, and with a little talk with Sylmae she decided that now was the perfect time to start actually helping instead of hindering her Clan. So when Vany said that there would be a herb training, the clouded leopard jumped into the fray. "Is it alright if I learn? Please?"

Nebulacub wasn't exactly a puppy, so she wasn't sure if she could play with them. So the cloaked kitten made her way over and settled down in a comfortable spot away from them, her tail twitching back and forth energetically.

"Toxiciris?" Nebulacub suggested, tilting her head as she made her way over, hearing bits of the conversation. She curled her tail right around her paws, leaning right against her mother's flank. "Or..Or like Freyawind. Or something."

You could hear Nebula's heart just cracking into pieces at that moment.

The galaxy-coloured cub was shaken off, opening her mouth in playful protest when she heard his words. What? "Daddy? But..But you are my daddy. You're Cade right? You're my daddy cause you're with mommy." The kitten's fur began to prickle while all the imaginable thoughts were beginning to go through her head. Did she do something wrong again? Did she summon some mimic demon by mistake, did she somehow fry her father's memories? "D-Daddy, why...why are you talking to mom like that? Don't you remember us? RiverClan? Y-You're an Advisor here, how..how do you not remember us."

"Children are useless; a waste of space and time." She visibly deflated at that, looking so hurt at that one statement that she almost started to cry then and there. "Daddy..Daddy thats not nice.."

The small cub stepped backwards, shaking with barely suppressed hysterics. No, this wasn't how it was supposed to be at all. Cade was supposed to be back, be an advisor, be a good and loving father like he had been before. But this..this creature that stood before her was nothing like her father. "You...we even look alike, Da-Cade...you...how can you not...I..." The kitten sniffled, a few tears dropping. "How...How is that not enough proof for you?!"

"It..It can't be a mimic. The spell doesn't w-work that way." She shook her head sadly, her ears flat against her head as she kept close to her mother. She felt like her world was falling apart at the core once more. "The spell..it doesn't summon anyone random, but whom the caster desires." It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair at all. Her father had returned, but he wasn't her father at all. "Did I give up a piece of my soul for nothing..?"

She turned away and ran. She couldn't handle it, she really couldn't. Besides her sister, her parents were the only ones she had that she was close to. And now one of them was a complete asshole.
