arcane approached the crowd curiously, glancing at the leopard whom was a stranger to him. the nurse had a sloppily crafted leaf crown, that he made to complement his appearance as a healer. it kept falling off and annoying the male. blinking, he dipped his head in greeting to the crowd. [color=#F0FFFF]"greetings." he simply said, in a timid yet solid voice.

[color=#FFFFFF]( weeps im on mobile rn but ill try to match the muse )never had the canine witnessed someone drown. the very concept of death was foreign to him - he knew he could not die, but yet wondered what it was like. what was it like having blackness suddenly envelop your periphery, to have all senses abruptly stripped from you? obviously it was a tragedy, for the mortal.
the male had rushed over when he saw a small crowd forming some sort of inanimate grey lump at the shoreside. he initially thought that it was of a non-riverclanner, but he was mistaken as he recognized the form of giovanni. his eyes widening and his brows flying upwards in surprise, the canine propelled himself towards the scene, his paws driving on dirt. blinking, the dog stared at the lifeless body as if it were some sort of prank that the anti-clans played on them. it wouldn't be out of range imagining that those scoundrels would do such a thing. and yet he knew that his theories were in vain. the riverguard had lost his life.
arcane was a nurse. he should know how to heal this. and yet he couldn't. he couldn't cure death. sure, reincarnation was a thing, but not immediately...arcane slowed his pace and dipped his head respectfully. he didn't personally know the riverguard, yet he felt a foreboding presence of grief wash over him. he should have been there to help.

( mobile )the canine approached the larger leopard, frowning as to why she had a brown bag in her jaws. however, as he started to get closer, he scented the unmistakable stench of weed. perhaps with a few cigarettes in there, the smell would be added up to a point where it would be almost overpowering. frowning, he stopped a foot away from her, his tail wagging slowly.
"y'know, drugs can kill." he stated in a matter-of-factly tone. he was never a fan of substance abuse, though he tried not to be as hard as he could possibly be with verona. [color=#F0FFFF]"but if you need help disposing of them, i'll aid you." he sighed, not in a friendly tone but neither in a hostile, annoyed tone.

the canine didn't like traveling far from home, even to an ally clan. usually, his feet ached as if he were walking on articulate, small pebbles that dug into his pads. he hated change and didn't like to see new scenery, often feeling homesick. his nose was flooded with unpleasant, unhomely scents. he didn't like seeing new people.he was sent to hawkclan to offer than crafty herb baskets. he could have picked a clan with a higher, more intimate relationship with riverclan, but he intended to strengthen the relationship between hawkclan and riverclan. it did no good to only gift one certain clan and to ignore the rest of the allies, did it?
these particular herb baskets were outfitted with greenish leaves crammed into the tiny little baskets. flowers of yellow, white, and red poked out of the leaves, daintily fluttering in the wind as if threatened by a simple gale. these baskets were sewn together with soft yet hardy hot pink yarn, though it wasn't by him. he didn't know who it was by actually, only that he was instructed to pack herbs in the basket, as much as he could. the canine carried them in his jaws, the soft pink handles all in his gentle teeth, careful not to bite too hard.
arcane slowly padded up to the border, his eyes glancing at the unfamiliar terrain around him. he felt strangely naked without any prominent body of water to surround him or comfort him of his own home. he could scent the trees and tried not to get too annoyed as flies started flitting around him as if determined to try to get under his skin as best as possible. stupid. stupid.
the nurse stopped at the border, marked with an unmistakable foreign scent. frowning, he placed down the baskets and let them drop softly onto the forest floor. lifting his head, he barked sharply. [color=#F0FFFF]"hey! riverclan comes with gifts!" he said in a clear tone. blinking, his steely blue eyes searched around for a comer as he just stood there, waiting.

fixing his eyes onto the ashen domestic feline, he nodded sharply and smiled a bit. [color=#F0FFFF]"sure!" he barked happily. well, at least he didn't get someone bigger than him.(woop, lazy post is lazy)

[color=#FFFFFF]arcane's eyes turned towards the chocolate chip cookies. he actually hadn't tried them before, and probably only had sugar cookies, if he could remember correctly. nodding shyly, the canine indicated that his decision was affirmative and he would like the cookies. maybe he'd eat them later in his den while reading a book and probably get crumbs all over the pages. -

( my bad for the really really late reply! i'm absolutely terrible with managing private threads ;w; )arcane hadn't been doing much that day. sure, he had been organizing some herbs and reading a little more, he didn't do anything of substance. today had been a boring day, as he would expect. riverclan wasn't especially the most violent clan, or the most engrossed with war. in fact, he was grateful it was so peaceful, the easily stressed dog could never keep up with such duties as capture and such.
arc was in town, which was rare for the nurse. he didn't like large crowds, and although he loved interaction, just not on the large scale. eyeing others as they passed by, the australian shepherd slowly padded through the town. the buildings arched and loomed over the creatures, and although his eyes did not focus on anyone, strangely, his gaze always seemed to converge to a troubled alabaster feline. well, perhaps not troubled, just conflicted. arcane, being himself, was naturally inquisitive and approached rosewater, a friendly aura surrounding the rosemary-scented canine.
[color=#F0FFFF]"heyo, miss! are you a-alright?" he asked a little timidly.

(mobile)the australian shepherd was the next to arrive. blinking, the dog glanced at the foreigner, cocking his head. he did hear something about an invite and a dance, but as radiant had said, he wasn't in power to accept it. [color=#F0FFFF]"hello. i'm arcanepaw creux, a nurse around these parts." he said timidly. -

ooh, he was the leader of riverclan at a point? that peaked the canine's interests, although the feline's seemingly careless attitude turned arcane off somewhat. sure, pinballwizard did seem friendly, but it was his boisterous voice that arc was a little intimidated by. blinking, the nurse timidly approached the scene."heyo. i'm arcanepaw creux, a nurse around these parts." he introduced himself with a respectful dip of the head. [color=#F0FFFF]"it's nice to know that you were the leader at one point." he added, without sarcasm intended.

[color=#FFFFFF]the nurse of riverclan was next to arrive. he didn't like loud noises, or large crowds, but he guessed it would be nice to meet other clanners. after all, he couldn't spend all day reading books and studying herbs could he? the pacifistic demon approached the scene, timid yet steely blue eyes gazing at everyone. the only creature he recognized was ivylee, and that was his own leader.he said nothing as he padded around awkwardly, snatching up a snack or two.

he had been minding his own business when he sensed someone quite close to him. leaping back a little, the australian shepherd's blue-eyed gaze whipped around to glance at the stranger. wasn't he one of the hawkclanners that arc had encountered while delivering those herb baskets to hawkclan? well, that eased him a bit. he doubted there were any anti-clans around here, but you could never be too sure. loosening his muscles, the black-orange-and-white dog's startled expression eased into something akin to a friendly timidness."o-oh. hello there. i'm arcanepaw creux." he said, smiling a little towards colin. he had introduced himself many, many times, but he didn't feel as confident uttering it as he did with his clanmates surrounding him. nevertheless, he decided to be a little kinder - his awkward nature could be mistaken for one of coldness and disinterest - and ask the other male of his name. [color=#F0FFFF]"a-and who might you be? i know i've seen you around before." he said, tail wagging slowly.

the nurse was next to arrive. the sight of three strangers all at once that didn't belong to any allegiance was a bit foreign to the demon, but nevertheless, he approached the crowd. his tail swished as he heard their names, which was a bit weird. they had clan names and yet they were not ambassadors to one? oh well, perhaps they emigrated from a clan. who was he to judge?"oi, you three here to join?" he questioned. [color=#F0FFFF]"i'm arcanepaw creux, a nurse around these parts." he stated, blinking at the three felines.

so that's where ramses had been. in bloodclan, huh? that must have been bad for something so destructive to befall on one so young, as the pacifist believed that bloodclan and other anti-clans were the bane of all pro-clans. that was his hypotheses anyways, he had never stayed at any of riverclan's enemies' borders, aside from search patrols, so he basically had no idea how bad they were, aside from malignant grins and weapons poised and ready. he shivered at the thought of them. vile creatures.hearing of the direwolf's return, the australian shepherd trotted over with a few herbs in his careful jaws. his eyes were furrowed in a repining manner, one of fretting. his steely blue eyes traveled towards mark, then rose, then finally the injured ramses. unfortunately he had not brought cobweb or marigold - mark did, though, and he was grateful for that - but instead, a scruple of black, ovular poppy seeds that was craftily hidden under the bundle of herbs - he was convinced that he had just brought random leaves that had no medicinal purpose, but he felt this was an emergency. he flinched at the sight of sanguine blood flowing out, and sighed, setting his herb bundle down slowly. [color=#F0FFFF]"well, uh, hopefully radiant should come soon. i brought poppy seeds if you're in a lot of pain. just in case." the canine barked shyly, glancing at rosewater, the other nurse. they were both appointed at the same time, he doubted that she knew much more than him, but he felt a little comforted to know a fellow nurse was present.

arc didn't think he recognized the feline. he had a foreign scent on him, one that the canine could not discern. knights of eden, he'd heard. he couldn't recall the name of the alliance either. perhaps they had never contacted riverclan before now. that made arc quite wary of the stranger, and as the slim australian shepherd hopped over to stand next to radiant, he blinked slowly. oh, so he knew that they were in a drought. great. in their time of weakness, someone wanted to ally with them? he was considering why the heck this king did not try to contact a stronger clan. whatever, he shouldn't think bad of his clan.[color=#F0FFFF]"uhm, heyo. ivylee should be here soon. i'm arcanepaw creux." he said slowly, his paws shuffling and rocking back and forth. he felt a little insecure to know that this stranger knew of their drought, even if it was quite obvious that the rivers of the trademark riverclan were no more.
