The sun had only recently started its painfully slow ascent into the greying winter sky that morning, the pale white rays of light barely dusting the sleepy world. This particular morning was quite different than others because a rather out of the ordinary visitor was about to grace the lands of Westeros with their presence. The ground, which had been lightly coated in sugary snow had minor paw shaped indents embedded into them, the markings leading up to the paws of a rather larger, slender border collie as he picked his way along carefully across the rime. Attentive eyes absorbing every detail of the terrain surrounding him as he began to slow in his movements. After a few moments, his casual sauter melted into motionless silence, albeit the cawing of birds filled the air. His nose wrinkled up slightly as he turned his head to and fro to fully take in the foreign lands that he knew little of although he knew a fraction of the inhabitants. Westeros was a place that had been a part of his focus for quite some time now and news of his brother being here had eventually reached him and caused him to make a decision which was why he was now here. Little did he know, his beloved sibling had made quite the life for himself here. He knew of some details however, the major things had escaped his knowledge although gaps would soon be filled in, that was for sure.

"Hello. I am looking for a Fortinbras Lynderly." the canine barked out, his words as curt and crisp as the chilling december air around him, the soft breeze sending fireworks exploding up his spine. His words rolled smoothly from his tongue as he glanced around with curious, soft amber orbs. He hoped that a being would be close enough to the vicinity of the borderlands to be able to respond to his words because he was not one that enjoyed repetition. His ears twitched slightly he sat himself down, ignoring the biting cold of the powdered snow as it clung onto his lower back and legs, melting through his fur to spread its icy fingers across his skin. It was better than blistering heat he guessed. He for one prefered the winter months to any of the other seasons but that was his own personal preference and he was certain that others would beg to differ. The male briefly closed his eyes as he leaned back slightly on his hind legs, patience etched into his stony features as he waited.

"Brother? Having fun up there?" came the somewhat amused hum from the canine as he came to a halt, amber orbs glowing with mirth as he regarded the scene before him. Unlike anyone else, he did not find it peculiar to see the other male engaging in such a domestic activity. After all, they had been birthed together and had grown up with each other which meant that they had been major parts of each other's lives. Even though the other male was now Lord Lynderly to everyone, he was still primarily family to the cheery canine. He could not help but feel a sense of unease however as he watched the way that the other male was so precariously balanced on his hind legs in order to properly reach the large picture frame. His gaze drifted across the image held behind glass with curiosity. The intricate design of the image was what had now caught his eye and he found himself drowning in the small details of the territory that he had traversed multiple times recently. It was still beautiful enough work to draw a light smile from his lips as he focused his attention slowly back onto his brother. "Do you need any assistance? It must be difficult to maintain a brilliant level of cleanliness with such limited help" the male said after a few moments of breathless silence, head tilted slightly to the left as he addressed Fortinbras with a helpful expression crossing his face.

The sound of a familiar voice calling out his name caused his black and white fur to stand on end. Amber eyes flew open, illuminated with ecstasy, and he felt his body rocking forwards. He rolled smoothly from his hind legs, forepaws hitting the ground with a small flurry of snow, the power like substance almost remaining suspended in the air for a few moments as he caught sight of the ther border collie. It was as if time all around him had slowed to a halt. Snow floated around the silhouette of the other male as he approached, his body still in a glorious frozen frame as Rudolf did his best to take in every little, intricate detail about his littermate, an expression of glee reforming as time blurred into usual speed once more and before he was completely aware of it, his brother was there before him.

The collie was quick to leap to his paws as the male drew near, lips parted slightly as words he was going to leave unspoken flooded into his mouth, leaving a bittersweet flavour on his tongue. "Fort?" he said, mirroring the initial cry of his own name as he regarded the other male. The brief shock had melted into excitement as he reached a paw forwards in an attempt to lightly rest it on the canine's shoulder in a friendly act. "It is really you. I am so glad to see you again, brother." he hummed, ears perking slightly as another voice caught his attention. He dropped his paw at this point, turning to focus on the female who had addressed him although he soon fell back into shock at her words.

"Wife? Fortinbras! It seems that someone has been busy in my absence" the male exclaimed and he was quick to glanced back to his brother with a look of playful teasing in his eyes. He was quick to focus back on the female wed to his siblings. That made her his sister-in-law. How delightful. "Well, dear Efline, it is most certainly a pleasure to meet you miss" Rudolf chirped, tail sweeping up specks of white as it began to wag slightly of its own accord.

"Present" the mainly black canine hummed as he slipped over and seated himself within the midst of his fellow family members. He flicked his ear as he peered up at his brother and sister-in-law, piercing amber eyes glowing apologetically in regards to his tardiness. He still was growing accustomed to the land and therefore had lost his grasp of time and direction. However, he had arrived nonetheless. It was better than him completely avoiding the gathering. He fell into a stiff silence as he listened to the conversation buzz around him. Talk of arranged marriages. He knew that it would be useful in progressing their house and name but he still felt a sense of apprehension blossoming inside his chest. After all, marriage was quite a major part of one's life. It was a celebratory event in which two beings were eternally tied together in holy matrimony. These kinds of set up marriages were strong in building the foundations up of both houses but he could not help the sense of wrongness that he also felt towards them. After all, it was something where two are bound together with little choice as other arrange their lives around them for them. He turned his focus onto the young girl, who he assumed was Evya, as she spoke up about it although he could not hold focus on her and was quick to cast his gaze elsewhere, amber orbs resting on his paws. The canine chose to not comment on anything as of yet and remained in silent indifference for the time being, only opting to listed to the chatter, not becoming a part of it.

Rudolf scoffed, merriment permeating his tone as he continued to gaze up at his brother. His fur prickled slightly as he watched the male make his way down, his muscles stiffening slightly as his mind whirred, his body prepared to leap into action if anything went wrong during Fortinbras' descent. Nothing went wrong. Fortunately.

"It is good of you to get actively involved. I know that many in your position would probably exploit the position and use it as an excuse for laziness. I know that you are far better than that though" he said as he watched the male set the featherduster aside through inquisitive amber orbs. He, personally, tended to be quite the little neat freak. His places of work or living quarters tended to be quite prim and proper. His ear twitched slightly as his sibling commented on his current appearance and he quickly looked down at himself, using a paw to feel at his sides with a light hum. He felt the way that his paw moved across the ridges of his ribs, the bone barely exposed through the skin. He was better than he had previously been after he had arrived here and received his first good meal for a long time. But, there was still a little while to go before the canine would be restored back to the sleek yet well structured appearance that he had been graced with during his lifetime.

"I must agree. It will certainly be some time before I embark on another journey similar to that again" he remarked as he put his paw back down and fixed his focus back onto his brother who was now stood before him, a light grin forming on his face as he addressed the other canine once more. "You, on the other hand, are looking spectacular. And a wife? I still can not get over it, I am so very proud, I must say." Rudolf chirped in addition to his words, tail proceeding to wag in a rather aggressive manner after he finished speaking, his expression highlighting the sense of pride that he felt towards his littermate.

A barking laugh pushed his lips apart as his brother made a remark on his attractiveness, shaking his head lightly from side to side as he did so. "Surely you jest, brother? You have always been the one to catch many eyes." he exclaimed in response, his modest streak forcing words from his mouth in response to the bright compliment shot in his direction. He eased immediately as the familiar warmth of his littermate enveloped him into a hug like embrace, returning the contact instantly. "Nieces and nephews? How delightful, I'm proud of you. I'm not surprised though. Far from it. You have always been the one out of our family who I thought would do major things and here you are." he chirped with a bright giggle like laugh, boyish delight shining through his adult demeanor. It was quite true that no matter what he tried to say, the male was much more of a child at heart and that was something that he would cling on to for as long as he could.

"Oliver Stark? The pleasure is all mine, good sir. I am Rudolf, if you did not hear." he responded in a warm tone as he turned to addressed the voice that had spoken to him, dipping his head slightly in both greeting and an overall act of friendliness. Stark. It was yet another of the various houses in Westeros that he had knowledge of although it was quite limited considering his lack of investigation prior to his arrival. It did not matter, however. He was certain that he would definitely find more to do with both the house of Stark and the other houses that were here. He was also quite intrigued about the choice of body that the other being inhabited and he was left to silently ponder whether they were in fact a born griffin or if it was a personal choice. He chose to not ask though, not wanting to come across as too forwards or invasive.

It is nice to have another to flatter once more." he cooed, jaw flexing slightly as his lips exploded into a vibrant grin, jovial laugh forcing his lips apart as he did so. His head tipped back, muzzle briefly pointed skywards as he inhaled the chilling air, throat rumbling with goodhearted amusement. Moments later his amber gaze was softly fixed onto his brother, the canine's head tilted, fictional brows quirked up as he listened to the familiar voice addressing him once more. "What brother would that make me if I did not stick by you and our family's name?" Rudolf hummed, shaking his dark head as he concluded his words, eyes closed in almost exasperated amusement towards the seemingly logical words spoken at him. When the golden-eyed canine's eyelids parted again, his eyes were twinkling with a familiar, jesting glow. "Snakewood. Delightful. I am in need of warmth and I definitely need a bite to eat. Travelling is certainly a draining experience both physically and mentally. he chirped, glancing over to the others gathered, nodding his head in an act of farewell, gaze lingering on Elfine incase she too would decided to pursue them back to the residence of Lynderlys. He also focused briefly on Oliver although he was quick to fix his attention once more on his brother, words dancing on his tongue.

They really seemed to get along well and he knew that marriage required that most of the time, even if some relationships often had more complex aspects to them. He listened to his brothers words, nodding slightly in response as he did so. "Celebration? Right, that completely slipped my mind that we have not done anything to commemorate our reunion. I would be delighted to celebrate with you. And, I have certainly missed you too, it was not the same without you." he hummed, sitting himself down as he peered up with glimmering amber orbs at his brother, a content sigh forcing his lips apart as he did so. "It is good to hear, a marriage anyway other than happy would not be worth it." he added with a light smile curling at the corners of his lips now as he turned his gaze back up to the intricate map, ear twitching slightly.

The canine snickered at Fortinbras' greeting to his child, the joke almost making the border collie cringe as he approached the group that seemed to be slowly forming. "Hello little one. I know you but you may not remember me so I shall introduce myself nonetheless. I am your uncle Rudolf. How are you, little one?" the canine hummed as he came to stand beside his brother with a small yet warm and friendly grin clearly evident across his lips. He would have never even thought that she would met such an untimely death so soon. It was not fair but he knew for a fact that the universe was a cruel, unforgiving maiden who took as much as she enjoyed to give. It just seemed that she had decided it would be best to steal an important figure away from the world and realm that she was needed in the most. He had not been close to Efline but he had still recognised her as a significant part of his life considering the fact that she had been his sister-in-law. She had been a major part of his brother's life and to hear of such news deeply saddened the border collie. He, after brief hesitation, moved forth to stand beside his brother, lightly brushing against his littermate as he did so in a silently act of comforting. He lowered his head slightly, drawing in a slow, long breath as he compiled his thoughts and pushed them aside. For now, his sibling was his main priority.

"Greetings" he hummed in a low tone as he entered, his head held low and his eyes glassy. Of course, he had been by no means close to Efline however, she had been his sister-in-law and that counted towards something. She had been his family and no matter how little he knew her, she was still significant to him in his eyes. With her passing, the current future seemed almost bleak but he knew that eventually, after hardship, the sun would shine bright upon his life again. The sun would illuminate them all in time, he was sure of it. But for now, all the border collie could do was sit himself down and peer up at his brother with blank, glazed amber orbs, only able to silently hope for the best possible outcomes.

She had been a part of his family, not by blood but by marriage, and if there was even the chance of her still being a part of the world of the living then he would help. He would help in the searches for her. Anything to try and restore his littermate to happiness once more. Of course, deep down inside him he thought that she was in fact deceased but he would never state that aloud because there was also the stronger belief in him that she was still very much alive and kicking somewhere.
