The burly tomcat had just been resting for a bit though he glanced up with a twitch of his single ear noticing how someone was messing with the stones near the riverbank did he rise to his paws carefully making his way over soon being able to see her more clearly. He felt his breath stop momentarily realizing that she was quite beautiful in appearance and likely much better than those loner she-cats that were in his small group, he blinked his amber eyes at her offering a toothy grin as he greeted her in a friendly manner "Ah, hello there. I don't believe we have met before. M'names Bear," Huh, they were a bit similar in their likes. He was fond of kittens, games, and flowers. Stones were appealing as well to the tomcat. They were so smooth.

Bloodclan issue and name changes, something about that made his coat prickle just a bit but it lowered down in time feeling a bit of excitement. He would take a seat wiggling his stumpy tail to the sides and taking a deep breath waiting to hear the rest of the announcements.

Swancloud, it was definitely a pretty name especially since it seemed that the name really did match with her appearance and he twitched his whiskers still wearing that broad smile of his though when she returned the smile he let out a hearty chuckle answering "It's a pleasure ta'meet ya, Swancloud. You got a purty name." He took a seat deciding to enjoy the silence between the two of them realizing how she had been staring at his scars that covered some of his rugged form, there were stories behind these and honestly, some of them he could without remembering since some of them weren't the most pleasant memories. He blinked his amber eyes feeling the heat in his cheeks rise catching just a brief moment of eye contact and he began to internally worry if she didn't want to talk with him anymore until he felt a pebble touching his forepaw did he glance down listening closely to what she said about how it matched his fur, he touched it with his paw lightly examining it carefully only to purr "It does doesn't it? Maybe my name will be Pebblefur." He said in some amusement though he half hoped that he wasn't named after a pebble, he was quite the burly fellow so a boulder would likely fit but he wasn't one to decide his own name. He was certain that Smokestar was responsible for that but he wouldn't mind either way, his eyes swept over the pebbles before picking out an ivory pebble nudging it over near his own pebble "This one matches yer fur." It wasn't productive like hunting but if he made a new friend from the simple activity, well, he wouldn't mind looking at flowers or pebbles all day. He just realized how fun it was.

If the tomcat only thought like she did since he usually woke up to hunt a bit of fish or brunch depending on how he was feeling though he had lifted himself up from his laying position not feeling as tired as the past times when he lived with his loner, he was much more rested and it felt great. He tried busying himself so he wouldn't lay around too much since the cold somehow made him warm but that was because his huge burly body radiated warmth when necessary. He would stretch out his front limbs before doing the same for his hind legs, he blinked his warm amber eyes parting his jaws in a yawn. A sleepy smile decorated his maw and he glanced around the camp that was slowly waking with activity, he could already see some kittens peeking their heads from the nursery murmuring secrets to one another and it amused him twitching his whiskers deciding to groom himself. He heard a splash that made him glance up rising to his paws once more and heading towards the noise despite how some of his coat was unruly as well as curly since he didn't groom all of it. He eventually found Swancloud with a disgruntled expression and soaking wet, he ducked his head a bit a frown of concern on his maw drawing near as he asked quietly "Ah, you alright, Swancloud?" He would then attempt to lick her ears to demonstrate his concern realizing that her pelt would take a bit of time before drying and he added with a tilt of his cranium "Do ya need some help?" Oh boy, he wasn't sure if she was angry or not but he hoped not though he'd help her anyways if she was or wasn't mad because she was soaked with water. He glanced over at the river closing his amber eyes momentarily only to reopen them aiming to help her up and offering a smile.

Pretty not purty, ah, his drawl sometimes got the better of him but he wouldn't change the way he spoke due to it being part of him though when she thanked him for the compliment, he could feel his own cheeks rising with heat and well, it had been a while since he had felt this funny "Yer welcome," He said a warm chuckle escaping his parted maw perking up a whole lot when she mentioned when his name seemed to fit him "Thanks!" He said in response not adding the fact that he had actually been quite tiny as a kitten but his Ma had named him Bear nonetheless, like those rumored beasts, he heard that they were horrible but they weren't around here. He hoped that he'd never run into the beast he got his name from if he ever found out what it actually looked like.

At her sudden laughter, he felt even funnier though he wasn't at all offended but actually happy that he made someone laugh though he had met the name as a joke and it had worked. He just continued grinning "Oh no, it's fine!" He reassured with a wag of his stumpy tail though at her other comment, he would take a moment to glance down at the pebble once more "I suppose yer right. I am a purty big guy and pebbles are quite small compared ta'me." The large tomcat angled his single ear forward in her direction listening once more since it was quite easy for him to listen to others, it just came naturally to him and was never an oddity to the burly tom. "Yer right. . .Huh, wonder if there's one that can describe m'son. He's has quite the fur pattern," He said in a warm tone pawing at the pebble that looked like him unable to do anything but like this time he was spending with her.
