    He took the opportunity to lay down once more smiling warmly at the kittens there feeling a few crawling on top of his back though the massive tomcat didn't move nor did he bother to tell them off "Yes, it is a lovely day. Ta'sun is very comfortin' and warm." He agreed calmly deciding to rest his chin on his forepaws feeling a kitten crawling onto his head though again, he did not a single thing. "How are ya fairing?" He decided to ask pursuing a possible conversation with the she-cat, she seemed kind enough to talk to and after a few events he'd prefer to relax to a small degree no use in stressing too much since it was Newleaf, after all.

    The burly tomcat found a familiar smell from the last time, his fur pricked as he trudged forward in silent steps only to mew with narrowed eyes "You shouldn't be 'ere." The large Riverclanner flicked his ears back taking note of the mouse and wondering if she had caught it here besides. . .Why of all clans did she decide to come her? Stupid she-cat. He shook his head a bit angrily.

    A genuine smile. He couldn't remember the last time someone could make his own smile tug at his lips, he took a deep breath flicking his ears back feeling his cheeks as well as face starting to grow warm, he didn't think his personality was charming enough for anyone but if it was good enough for Swancloud then it was for him too. Even if this was the second time the two spoke with one another alone, Grizzlybear saw Swancloud around most of the time and they'd occasionally talk yet every time she was near he could feel his heart skipping inside of his chest. Just when he thought his heart could skip no more after an incident in the past that made his claws twitch. He tried not remembering his old life much but he did try to explain to her what cardboard was "Well ya see. . .Cardboard is almost like leaves but sturdier like wood but not very good on rainy days. . .But it was shelter enough," He could recall the times he took refuge in cardboard boxes and after every rainy day, he was somewhat soaked. The memory made a chuckle escape his throat.

    The words he spoke, they were all full of truth. The cats in his group used to manipulate his son because of how gullible he was and he could see now that Tinypaw was much happier here than with their old group of loners. It almost felt like it was just the strongest surviving and even if most in the group knew that Tinypaw had been his son and likely "off limits" they still targeted the small tomcat. It had angered him and disgusted him how they'd try to take advantage thus he was happy Tinypaw had found this place. It was like a sanctuary. He aimed to press his nose to her forehead gently only to incline his cranium a bit agreeing with a soft grunt soon speaking "It's good ta'hear that ta'feelings mutual but, I suppose, I learnt somethin' from my old life as a loner. . .I guess in a way, it made me the tom I am today." He said in a sincere tone.

    [ here have your daily dosage of fluff ]

    Grizzlybear had taken notice of how Swancloud had been acting when they were finished with the skirmish and during the time, Flicker had been playing with kittens. It wasn't hard to spot and he had been in that situation before, when he would get new scars on his body though there had been someone there for him and she had gotten him flowers to make him feel better. Despite how cheesy it had been, the giving of flowers certainly worked thus he had taken the time to find some flowers for Swancloud. He had gone by the river finding some water lilies and water hyacinth for her, he held them in his jaws trying to be as careful as possible in holding them since the water lilies were likely more soft than the hyacinths. He set them down lightly on the ground with both of his ears angled forward "Swancloud, can you c'mere for a sec?" His paws shuffled timidly glancing down at the flowers once more wondering if she'd like them.

    @swancloud .

    Grizzlybear caught fish a few times if he was lucky enough but if he couldn't find fish then he'd always catch a land critter since he was built for that, he was aching everywhere after the skirmish though he didn't let that stop him from doing his daily routine of hunting, conversing with clanmates, and resting. He had been ambling along and soon enough Swancloud's familiar scent and pelt came into his sight range, he noted how her claws had some scales on them and took a seat near her glancing into the waters "No luck?" He asked with a tilt of his cranium quite curious.

    He chuckled at what Flicker said about having a lot in mind only to agree with a warm grin "I guess I do," At the other voices, he perked up and rose into a sitting position offering a smile to both Cougartail and Swancloud, one he respected and the other was one of his good friends, well then again, most of Riverclan inhabitants were his friends. "Howdy Cougartail and Swancloud." He chirruped with a soft chuckle taking note of how peculiar Swancloud seemed to be acting though he made no comment of it but instead aimed to nudge her gently with his shoulder adding with a twitch of his whiskers "Yes but ta'purtiest people or things are ta'simplest." That was actually true, well, unless you didn't have the same beliefs as Bear. Honestly, if anyone called him by his warrior name or former name he wouldn't mind. It was fine with him.

    He twitched his whiskers momentarily only to nudge over the water lily and attempted to put the water hyacinths behind one of her ears blinking both of his amber visionaries at her offering a warm smile at her. "I got ya these. . .Also I was wonderin' if you'd like to go out somewhere s'time. If ya don't want to then that's fine," The burly tomcat glanced down at his forepaws once more deciding that he tell her what he had on his mind since she seemed so troubled by the scars that had marred her beauty but, she was still beautiful and he wanted her to know that. He wanted her to see what he saw. He just hoped that she didn't decline another opportunity of spending time with him, he shuffled his forepaws once more not saying anything else just waiting to see her answer but his nose twitched catching the scent of his child.
