Yes, a something. There were no someones nor any somebeings, but simply a something. In the night, someone had arranged a few rocks near the waterfall, and left a single, large egg sitting inbetween them, submerged in water. The current not strong enough to drag the heavy thing away, it simply sat there, what appeared to be scales covering its shell. It's colors hid it well, but it was all too clear that whatever it was, it was neither water nor rock. Nay, it was something else entirely; an egg, left here for some unknown reason.
The heavy looking egg was as large as your average husky, scales acting like armor to protect it from degrading in the current. It seemed cold, but it didn't seem to mind that; in fact, it appeared to be enjoying the icy waters. At least, people could sense that around it. It was likely somewhat telepathic; it now attempted to draw others near it, giving others a mere urge, easily ignored and dismissed, to go over to it's location and place a paw, talon, or some form of hand on it. Perhaps it wanted attention, perhaps it was uncomfortable, but that would be more difficult to tell.
For now, it waited, for the egg was very patient. Well, for an egg. It didn't know of the concept of time yet, and alas, it likely wouldn't need to. The animal inside of it was unknown, but whatever it was, it was certainly large. At least, it would grow up to be, if it's egg was that big. It could be stolen and placed here, or worse abandoned, but the egg didn't know. It just knew it was an egg, and it just wanted some company.. and perhaps a few hugs. Yes, hugs would be nice. What was a hug again? It didn't know, but it certainly liked the sound of that word. It sounded.. comforting. Yes. Perhaps it should ask for many hugs when it grows up.[/fancypost][align=center]
