She had heard many things about these so-called clans, and to be personally investigating them at long last was quite satisfying. What was so special about them? How come every loner she had stumbled across had either amazing things to say or awful, with no in between? They were saviours, some had said. They were monsters, claimed others. Nui had laughed both responses off, because both were equally ridiculous in her mind.

Even so, the eccentricity of these groups of creatures was too tempting for her to resist, and the petite molly found herself drawing nearer to what she could only assume was the edge of conquered land; the scent line was impossible to miss. How curious, their method of keeping intruders out! Though she doubted it was really all that effective; what good could some piss really do?

A broad smile graced the maw of dainty little Nui Harime as she came to a halt at the border, gazing curiously out into the territory through her single good eye, wondering whether this would be worth her while.

"Helloooo? Anyone home?" she called out, leaning forward slightly.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height: 140%; width:450px;]
"Oh, that was quick!" she chirped appreciatively, perking up upon catching sight of the first feline to approach her. "And here I was, wondering if I was in the right place." Her intense blue gaze never left his face as he drew nearer. Why did he seem so tense? Certainly not because of her? She hoped not; that would just be sad, honestly. "Aw, what's the matter? I don't bite, I promise!" Though her brow was furrowed, the bright smile remained on her face. And then she fell silent, listening to his words. Riverclan, hm? "I'd like to join your clan!"

And then she turned to Freckledmessiah, her attention instantly caught by his wounds. How ugly! The only sign of her distaste was the brief falter in her smile, but it returned to normal as quickly as it had changed. But once he had spoken, she quirked a brow and nodded. "Of course I have a name, silly! I'm Nui Harime."

Three more arrived as she addressed the labrador, all taking their turns to speak. Nui spun to face them and giggled. "Hi there! Nice to meet you, too! Thank you both! I made it myself." And then she stooped lower to get a better look at Patchworkpup's accessory. "It's so cute!" Not as cute as her own, of course, but still.

if you wanna go down a darker route, you could have her injured/tortured/etc by a shadowclanner, which could cause her to become very paranoid? or vengeful since she helped them out?

thats all ive got atm but ill let you know if i think of anything else

    [fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height: 140%; width:450px;]
my shadowclanner, dracula is pretty pissed at riverclan rn since they beat up his clanmate from bloodclan (he's got a dual membership), so he could do it if you want!! tho his gf might get even more pissed at him than she already is lmao

    [fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height: 140%; width:450px;]
Oh, this trespasser was handsome, noticed the molly as she eyed him curiously from a distance. But he reeked. Nui wrinkled her nose as she watched him, content on observing for the time being as she pondered whether or not he was allowed to be sauntering about as though he owned the place. Frankly, she herself would have done the same during her introduction to Riverclan, had she been certain that the land was actually inhabited; however, she hadn't been keen on making a fool of herself by wandering about and shouting fruitlessly into the unknown at the time.

"Hello there," Nui chirped upon deciding to approach the stranger, her voice feminine and high-pitched. "When was the last time you took a bath?"

    [fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height: 140%; width:450px;]
"Those are interesting," hummed the young molly as she trotted over, eyeing Coralie's sweaters with a decidedly neutral expression. I could do better, Nui thought; she wasn't called the Grand Coutourier for nothing, after all! And watching someone else make clothes only gave her the urge to do so as well… perhaps she would have to continue her work once she got settled in.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height: 140%; width:450px;]
Despite her previous blunt words, a smile remained plastered to her maw and had been there from the start; if anything, it only made her appear more childish. She liked smiling, though — it was far less boring than constantly glowering, as an old… friend of hers often did. Plus, smiling made people trust her more easily, and that was always useful.

At his little fact about himself, Nui quirked a brow, wondering what to make of that. And then she nodded, offering a quick, "Yep!" before staring at his rather grotesque form with a look of intrigue on her youthful face. What kind of creature was he? Certainly not the same as her, though she couldn't say she was surprised; she was unique in her own special way. "How interesting!" She was almost tempted to show him her own abnormality, but in the end she decided against it.

She couldn't help but smirk at the names he listed off. What ugly monikers, though she supposed they suited the form he had revealed to her rather well. The next name he gave was far more amusing, however. "Sorry, but I've never heard of them," she told him airily, shrugging. What had been going through their parents' heads when they'd named their children? "But you can totally stay here! I'm Nui, by the way. Nui Harime."

    [fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height: 140%; width:450px;]
As the horseman mused to himself, Nui fixed her one-eyed stare on his face, albeit out of curiosity as opposed to any sort of genuine attraction. And then he continued into some sort of monologue, to which Nui simply giggled carelessly. "You're funny," said the couturier in a rather flippant manner. She could possibly believe that this Pestilence standing before her actually had some degree of control over diseases; his appearance attested to that well enough. But to be a true horseman? For Death to actually exist in this realm and walk among them? These clanners sure had strange ideas. But that made them so interesting!

Along with that, the notion of her "intimate relationship" with Death made her want to laugh. If anything, she had been effectively evading its grasp since birth. "Well, welcome to Riverclan!"

    [fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height: 140%; width:450px;]
Wow, there really were a lot of children here, huh? Not that she really minded, though they could be awfully boring at times; who wanted to hold a conversation with a little kid? Who even could? To truly adore and fawn over youngsters was a trait that had always bemused her. But then again, she had never been able to care for anyone very strongly (though it wasn't like she'd ever had the opportunity to).

As they all parroted that phrase, "welcome to Riverclan", Nui found herself a bit confused; had she been accepted in? Just like that? How strange these clans were! What if they were to allow someone truly terrible to join their ranks, and never be any the wiser? It was an amusing thought.

"Thank you, and I hope I like it here as well!" She doubted this would be a waste of her time. That would certainly be a pity. "I'm fine, but thanks for the offer. So kind of you!"

    [fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height: 140%; width:450px;]
His affronted countenance only amused her more, and Nui stared up at him with a knowing look in her single eye, contrasting with the rather innocent expression on her face. "Oh, don't you worry about that! I would never dream of it." she assured him with a sweet little grin, looking awfully satisfied with herself.

When the pale jackal pushed their way past her (rather roughly, she might add), Nui was startled by how chilly their body was. Taking a step back, she seated herself and glanced back and forth between the pair thoughtfully, seemingly unbothered by the newcomer's abruptness. They were brothers, hm? Pestilence and Death. Interesting, these delusions of theirs. How would Lady Ragyo react, had she been in Nui's place? Lady Satsuki? Both likely would have laughed right in the siblings' faces. Nui preferred to take a more subtle approach herself.

They way they spoke back and forth to each other made her wonder. Did they truly believe what they were saying? How curious. And so she made herself comfortable and listened.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height: 140%; width:450px;]
ayeee so i figured nui could use some interaction bc ive got a lot of motivation for her :^)

so as a quick overview, nui's very bubbly, playful, and seemingly innocent. but once she's picked up on the fact that someone dislikes her, she'll keep bothering them bc she like,, loves lowkey provoking people & getting them to hate her since she finds it entertaining. she's never made a genuine friend before and views others more as pawns or even toys more than anything else. oh also she's a tailor and loves making clothes.

she's open to most things besides romance/litters, fights, etc.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height: 140%; width:450px;]
The petite molly was humming a little tune as she toured the massive cavern, admiring the glowworms clinging to the ceiling. She had never seen anything like it before! Her smile was one of appreciation as she stopped to stare up at them through her single round eye, though it wasn't long before her attention was caught by the nearby pair.

"Ooh, I like your drawing," Nui chirped, surveying the full piece with a tilted head. But it was the glitter that really sparked her interest; following Vanillapaw's lead, she scooped up a pile of the glitter and tossed it into the air, letting it rain down on her lithe frame.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height: 140%; width:450px;]
Her brow was quirked as she approached, staring down at Draco appraisingly. What was he? She had never seen a creature anything like him before. These clans really are full of surprises, Nui mused before taking a seat in front of him. "Time out!" she said suddenly, a glint of amusement in her dark blue eye. "What kinda stuff bothers you, hm?"

    [fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height: 140%; width:450px;]
Falconpaw. Falconpaw. What was with that suffix? Falcons didn't even have paws! And on that note, why the hell did children have the word "kit" in their name, when their age was already obvious? Perhaps it was because she had only recently joined Riverclan herself, but Nui was continuously bewildered by the strange rituals of these creatures.

So far, one thing she did enjoy was welcoming newcomers. Granted, she had only done so for one person, but it had proven to be fairly entertaining so she had high hopes for this boy as well. "Welcome!" purred the molly as she trotted over, flashing him a bright smile. See, that was another thing she found to be quite odd; this auto-acceptance policy they had. If anything, it seemed rather unsafe to her. "I'm Nui Harime. Nice to meet you!"

    [fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height: 140%; width:450px;]
Nui's smile faded as he addressed her sourly, replaced by a pouty expression. "I know that, silly," she replied, glancing over at Stjepan as the irritated hippogriff proceeded to tell him off as well. Jeez, this guy really was a stick in the mud, wasn't he? How boring. "Of course I know how to follow them! And we're not out, 'cause I called for a time out, remember?" The smirk on her face seemed to say, "gotcha".
