[fancypost borderwidth=0px; text-transform: lowercase][justify]I believe there was a group based off of French nobility (Mansion of Versailles?) but correct me if there is actually a group currently like this.
So, I basically want to create a group around French aristocracy, but to be more specific I narrowed some of my ideas down into categories ...
ranks
> king/queen = leader
> duke/duchess = deputy
> marquis/marquess = assistant deputy, specializes in specific districts of warfare/politics/medicine
• viscount/viscountess = lower than a marquis, but higher than a baron, they work under a marquis, in a specific district of specialization (warfare/politics/medicine)
> baron/baroness = semi-hp, the defensive force, basically a cavalier
> bourgeois = non-hps, they are still properly titled sir/madame/citizen, within this group are
• nobles = relatives of hps, have no authority over anyone but some are still pretty obnoxious about this title
• citizens = fully trained/adult members
• apprentice = apprentice
• children = members below 6 months
customs
> refer to each other by name and title, for example, if someone with the name anastasia is a duchess, she would be called duchess Anastasia, or a marquis named adrian would be marquis adrian, stuff like that
> if a member commits a crime, the high positions will gather and discuss punishment. this can vary from janitorial services to decapitation (a la guillotine)
> there's a lot of reference to the french language in the group, a population of the group actually speaks french but for the most part speak english. most names are french or old english names
> every member born into the group begins with one name, once they become adults they receive a second name (if a character joins and has a warrior name they'll just receive a middle/last name or can refuse this all together). if a character is promoted to a baron or if they are a noble, they will receive a third name (ex: anastasia marie yves) viscounts have four names, marquis have five, dukes have six, and the king/queen will have seven
> jewelry and accessories are popular amongst men, women, and all others
**obviously not everyone will want to follow these and they aren't mandatory, but meant to provide some difference from other groups
i think that if this group were to actually be put into action/ever get popular, it would have to remain unofficial because of its demanding theme, just to mention. if it were unofficial, i think a system where royals marry royals only/arranged marriages could be implemented by consent of the rpers
as for territory ideas?? i was thinking like monuments of france but downsized and also overgrown with like moss and kudzu?? so like the arc de triomph but like kinda sinking into the ground, the chateau of versaille being the camp? set in maybe a swampy area?
this is basically the plan i have so far but?? i really like it tbh, maybe some of u guys do too?
