    TEPHRAEL | KNIGHT OF SANCTUM

[font=Georgia]The pale creature had heard of the news from WindClan and promptly left a month ago. There was no use staying there since the WindClanners had obviously presented themselves as unwilling to help him free his home. The next moon he spent wandering by himself, searching, searching, searching--for some sign of salvation. A sign from the Light that would tell him that this was the way to go. But the weeks passed and the Light was silent.

At least--until this morning. He'd taken shelter in a cave by a pool and when he'd woken up, the right position of the sun and some overhanging foliage had illuminated a patch of light roughly in the shape of a sword on the rippling waters. There it was--what he had been waiting for. Tephrael had spent a good part of the morning puzzling over the sign--obviously the Light wished for him to war on the behalf of those oppressed, but where could he get that start? SkyClan had flaked out on their promised raid and WindClan had refused...but the water--could it be RiverClan? They were a peaceful group and their leader known for keeping the peace--would they be righteous enough to help him free his home?

He would trust himself to the Light. Tephrael had taken off on his wings mid-morning and landed on the borders of RiverClan, looking around for a member to approach him.

[font=Georgia]What a quick arrival! And a child, too. The angelihund offered a smile towards the youngster, pleased by the sight of the RiverClanner. "I wish to join, child," Tephrael answered. He glanced up at Amaya as she approached and gave her a small nod of greeting. "My name is Tephrael." The creatures of RiverClan, he had heard, were quite righteous and he hoped that he could fit in as well as he could with them.

[font=Georgia]"Thank you--I shall be fine," the angelihund answered with a gracious dip of his head. These RiverClanners certainly knew how to be good hosts, but how much of that came from the fact that he was now one of them? There was a flick of the ear as his attention turned towards the serval kitten. "A pleasure to meet you, child. You must be quite precocious for your age to be raised to such a rank."

[font=Georgia]Angelihunds are a species created by Ady and Pax. They generally take on the form of very thin winged jackal-like canines, similar to ancient Egyptian depictions of Anubis with bird wings, the size of shire horses. There are a variety of traits that they can have, including wings, multiple eyes/tails, manes, horns, etc, but all of them stay to the base shape of the canine body with wings. Their colors are always pale, on the lighter spectrum of things. Angelihunds often wear golden jewelry that materialize based on how powerful they are. Similarly, angelihunds can attain more traits as they grow older/more powerful.

Tephrael, the father, is a maned angelihund with horns and four wings. He originally had six wings, but two of them have been seared off. His horns are similar in shape to that of the greater kudu and while he has canine front legs, his back legs are that of an antelope as well. His color was originally white, but his fur and feathers has been stained a smoky grey. Tephrael has multiple tails bound together with golden rings, so that it appears and acts like one tail. He does not need to eat or drink and only needs a certain amount of rest to function for the day. Tephrael is related somehow to Permafrost, who is another angelihund.

The offspring will be angelihunds as well. Tephrael is neither male or female, but became pregnant out of some type of parthenogenesis. He presents as male and will be considered their father. They may choose a selection of these traits inherited from their father: horns, multiple wings, multiple tails, hooved back legs. The pups start out looking like the top picture, with small horns. They will be born like that, no wings, with hooved back legs, and one tail, about the size of a 40-50 lb dog. Please name a species of antelope that their horns will resemble in the description section. They are free to develop other traits as they grow.

After they are born, they can start off at 3 months of age and will age double time. They will be born in RiverClan, but will most likely follow Tephrael where he goes. They will be also raised in the religion of the Light -- more info here: SANCTUM // THE KINGDOM OF LIGHT // BORDERS OPEN

Picture reference: these are angelihunds without the wings drawn in. The middle one is Tephrael without his wings.

    RULES:
Please do not make them breeding machines. They must physically reach a very mature age to have children--Tephrael is a couple thousand years old and this is his first litter.
Should these pups fall inactive, they default back to me or Ady, as creators of this species.
Please have them stay with Tephrael, since they will be raised to be very close to him, unless you have a very good reason/plot for them to leave.
This is not first come first serve. Please do not nag.
By applying to this adoption, you confirm that you will play by the rules of the adoption and the rules of the species (which may be subject to change). Should any of these terms be violated, I have the right to reclaim the pups.

    SLOTS:
    Phaedriel
    _______
    _______
possibly one more depending on applications

    FORM:
there is no set form. Please include enough information for me to judge these applications. Also note that there is no naming theme, but Tephrael would not name the pups any names with dark connotations.

[font=Georgia]A BloodClanner. Tephrael knew that they were wicked creatures. BloodClanners were the same as Exiles, engaged in the same sick and twisted acts, despite the fact that they touted themselves as better than the latter. All evildoers were of the same class, as all the good were of the same. They were no better than the insects, but at least even insects could say that they did no evil in the world. The angelihund approached, his eyes narrowed as he looked over the lioness.

"For one at a captor's mercy, you should learn to hold your tongue," the angelihund offered dryly. He nodded towards the unicorn, implying that he was there to back Hope up should the BloodClanner try anything.

[font=Georgia]Ashbringer's words caused his eyes to narrow. Once, perhaps, a seraph in the sky, no longer--but was he still an angel? The angelihund lifted his chin slightly, not even deigning to answer the BloodClanner.

His attention drew back towards the spat that the RiverClanners were having. In his opinions, this BloodClanner should've been killed already. There was no room in the world for sinners who dragged them back into the darkness. However, since he was a newer member with little authority and did not know the circumstances of this situation, the angelihund chose not to speak.

[font=Georgia]"You should put something on the burns. They have a tendency to mortify," the angelihund offered as he approached. His lips peeled back slightly as he noted the scent of BloodClan--it was a wonder that this creature had returned with those injuries. Glancing over at Hope, whom he took to be the medic, he added, "I recommend honey, but mud will do the purpose of soothing the burns since we have more of that around."

Glancing over at Ramses, Tephrael said, "I can carry him back to camp, if necessary."

If you have time and muse, my boy Tephrael? He's a little bit complicated, so I understand if you don't want to do it.

[font=Georgia]A joiner? Why not wait at the borders? The casual disrespect for the rules irked him, but Tephrael saw that she did it with a good heart--the same way he had disobeyed the Grandmaster's orders to stand down and bow and scrape at the feet of the barbarian king. Tephrael had refused and left his home.

"Welcome to RiverClan, Mikaela," the angelihund rumbled lowly, giving the serval a small nod of greeting. She seemed kind enough and it sounded like her heart was in the right place. "Tephrael."

    TEPHRAEL | KNIGHT OF SANCTUM

[font=Georgia]He hadn't been aware that he was going to be a father. It had come out of no where, but he supposed that this was a blessing granted by the Light for his long-time devotion. Tephrael had always loved children and to have his own...he would raise them well, in the brightness of the Light.

There was a small hum from the gray angelihund as he stepped into the waters at the beach, enjoying the waves as they lapped against him and his growing belly. It wasn't too noticeable, considering the fact that Tephrael was a big creature, but an experienced eye could see it in the gently expanded curve of his rubs and stomach. There was a happy grunt as he unfurled a smoky gray wing, dipping the limb into the water--only to see that the stains still yet did not fade away from the white. He had shed feathers a few times, but the ones that grew back were always colored with the ashes of the volcano that had once consumed him.

With a small sigh of resignation, he decided to let his color be and instead leaned his head forward slightly, using his teeth to straighten out the wet feathers to meticulously clean them, one by one.
