What a peaceful night. Despite the fact that there were so many creatures gathered in the vale nearby on the invitation of the Grandmaster, Tephrael was happy that he could still find some solitude and quiet. The pale creature moved like a shadow through the foliage, picking his path carefully so that the only sound he made was the whisper of smoky gray feathers brushing against dead plant life. It was the turning of another year, another year living as a child of the Light.
There was a soft sigh as he settled down on the ground, quietly watching the lights of the lantern float upwards into the night sky to twinkle there like the stars themselves. The Grandmaster always told the children that the lanterns in the sky would become the stars and then their wishes would become true. Tiberius enjoyed that little tale, as his own wish had come true--he only wanted to be a faithful servant of the Light here in the living world.
The night continued to crawl on and the air seemed to grow a little bit chillier as time turned towards midnight. Conversation seemed to have died down, but the angelihund could still hear the low murmur of talk over the waters of the lake.

Those braver missionaries of the Sanctum had been given the go to 'rescue' young ones from the Darkness, wherever the Darkness had firmly taken root. Tephrael, being accomplished in combat, had decided that he fit the bill of what the Grandmaster had described. The angelihund was currently prowling the outskirts of the land belonging to the Blackheart Rogues.
The group was small, so it should be easy for him to slip in and slip out with minimal interference. If he was discovered, he was sure of his abilities to fight against what they threw against him. Licking his jaws, he raised his muzzle to the air, checking the scents on the wind for the presence of anyone.

Another group with a notorious reputation. Though there were groups that were larger, Tephrael wanted to start small. After all, a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single small step, and the Blackheart Rogues and the Cartel were small steps for him.
The angelihund was lurking quietly in the territory, making sure to keep to the shadows. Despite the fact that most of his kind were a pure, shimmering white, Tephrael was a darker, smokier color that blended well into shadows, or passed for a sliver of moonlight when he passed into visibility. His steps were quiet, like the fall of a leaf, and he made sure that his wings didn't brush past any of the foliage loudly.

Two young ones. Two children of Light to be saved from the clutches of Darkness. The pale angelihund did not want to surprise them into leaving, so he merely approached quietly, his steps soft enough to not carry over long distances but loud enough to alert the two kids of his presence.
Tephrael offered them a friendly smile. "Hello there, young ones--what are you two doing outside of home?"

[fancypost bgcolor=; width: 480px; font: normal 16px times new roman; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify]
"The sun and clouds," Tephrael echoed. "Are they not wondrous things, little one?" The white angelihund decided to settle down on the ground close to the two. Despite his relaxed demeanor, the creature was quite alert of his surroundings and his ear occasionally twitched and angled about, just to make sure there was no one interrupting their little meeting. "Someone told me that the stars are the children of a dragon named Sol and the clouds his breath."

There was a small rumbling beneath his feet suddenly and the angelihund raised his head, his pale eyes scanning through his surroundings methodically. There--there it was! Some young canine creature. Curious, Tephrael approached to watch for a while. After Sphinxpup's display was done, the angelihund let out a small sound of greeting. "That's quite a power you have there," Tephrael offered.

[fancypost bgcolor=; width: 480px; font: normal 16px times new roman; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify]
"My name is Tephrael," the white creature returned, tilting his head slightly. "What is your name, child?" Despite his intentions, he knew that there was little way that he was going to convince anyone to come with him through demands, so it was best to be nice and sweet, as the Light guides him.

"Sol--from what others tell me--is another name for the sun. It is the biggest light in the sky--I wouldn't be surprised if it created all the other stars," Tephrael answered with a small laugh of amusement. At Armorkit's next question, the angelihund answered with a small nod of his head. "My name is Tephrael. Who are you, child?"

"Blurrypup," he echoed. A name in the fashion of the Clans. He was unsure of the origin of the name Nishikino, but asked no question about it. After all, Tephrael himself was unsure of his own name. All he knew was that the suffix -el denoted a higher power. He was named and born to serve the Light and that was what he was content with. There was an amused smile from the angelihund. "Why not, Blurrypup?"

[fancypost bgcolor=; width: 480px; font: normal 16px times new roman; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify]
"Armorkit," he echoed, his gaze turning towards the young kitten. Another classic Clan name. Tephrael tilted his head slightly at the kitten's inquiry. "I'm curious about your way of life and the Rogues in general. They have a fearsome reputation." Not exactly in a good way. He kept his questions innocent and curious. "Were you both born here?"

Tephrael was someone else who was in the Library today. Ever since the raid on them by the Exiles, the angelihund occupied himself in the books looking for information on their enemies. There was little on the topic of the Exiles. They were a rather new group, or at least a group that burst into politics quite recently compared to the more established reputation of the older Clans. But, at least, they were similar to enemies that Sanctum had faced before.
Anarchy. Lawlessness. Immoral creatures! They lived for nothing but their own advancement, their own benefit, without a thought or care thrown to those others who lived in the world. No consequences were considered--they killed and fought and battled, even squabbled among themselves with little care or regard. Tephrael would rather commit himself to nonexistence than lead a life like that.
He was perusing a hefty tome and decided to take a break to stretch his legs. The creature raised himself up onto all fours before taking a small walk around the library. On the path, he spotted MCXIV and offered the zealot a small nod of greeting. "Hello. What are you looking for?" he queried, curious about what topics the zealot was interested in.

[fancypost bgcolor=; width: 480px; font: normal 16px times new roman; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify]Tephrael was amused by Blurrypup's response, to say the least. "I agree. You are a very smart young one," the angelihund returned. "Family names are useless when you can show people when you can cultivate relationships that transcend the boundaries of blood. I have no family, but I consider my community my family."
He listened quietly to their stories of where they were born. Blurrypup was born here, but Armorkit was a little bit unsure. "I see. I don't think kit or pup makes you sound weak. It just implies that you have potential--the potential to become something when you grow up." Perhaps he was being too philosophical. "Do you enjoy living here?"

TEPHRAEL | KNIGHT OF SANCTUM
[font=Georgia]From what he had been told, SkyClan seemed very sympathetic to their cause. Tiberius had been friendly with some of them and going off of that, Tephrael decided that this was the best place to contact. Yes, he was disobeying the Grandmaster, but he knew in his heart that the Light would not deign to crown some filthy heathen barbarian to be their savior, despite what Tiberius said. When he heard news of the surrender, Tephrael fled rather than let himself be lorded over by the khan,
The angelihund arrived on SkyClan borders, his eyes narrowed as he searched out for a SkyClanner--any SkyClanner.

TEPHRAEL | KNIGHT OF SANCTUM
[font=Georgia]It was a chance, but WindClan had heeded their call last time to defend against the Exiles. The Khanate was a similar enemy--so would they offer to help as well? The pale angelihund arrived on the borders, folding his wings against his side as he cast his gaze about. He'd heard that they had a change of leadership and he only hoped that the new leader was just as sympathetic towards them as Cherviltea had been.

[font=Georgia]No greeting or anything? Such lack of respect towards travelers. "My words are for your leader only," he returned coldly. And speaking of the leader--there he was. Tiberius had spoken of Superhero before and Tephrael generally knew who he was. The pale creature turned his attentio pointedly away from Solarplume towards Superhero. "Greetings, Superhero. The Sanctum is under occupation by barbarian hordes and we were hoping to acquire your assistance in driving them out."

[font=Georgia]Three WindClanners. At least this one knew how to greet a traveler. Tephrael dipped his head respectfully towards Jekyll as he offered, "I'm hoping to speak with your leader, if he is here."

[font=Georgia]"Unless there is someone else who succeeded Cherviltea," the angelihund remarked dryly. He wouldn't be surprised if some others had been killed in the recent spate of deaths throughout the Clans. Thankfully, Sanctum had been untouched--if one didn't count the barbarian horde that had descended on them.

[font=Georgia]"Savages from the steppe. They slaughtered our defenders and our Grandmaster was forced to surrender," Tephrael added. He was sure that Tiberius' 'surrender,' despite what he professed, was due to the fact that he wanted to save the lives of the Sanctumites, as they would not overcome the forces of the Khan by themselves. "They've occupied it and are abusing our people."
