    WEEKLY AU'S

This was a part of StormClan implemented to help promote activity. It's really simple. Each Sunday there is a new theme, and the leader posts an au to kick it off. Members can make their own au's that fall under the theme, and are encouraged to post in any and all au's. Themes can be repeated!

    Examples of themes include:
Personality Change (opposite personality, what if everyone was born in the exiles au, positivity au, ect)
Appearance Change (Invert colors au, pastel au, human au)
Natural disaster (volcano au, earthquake au, hurricane au)
Book (Hogwarts au, textbook queen, the good Percy Jackson au)
Movie (Moose the Movie au, horror movie au, the bad Percy Jackson au)
Anime (attack on Titan au, sword art online au, Seven Deadly Sins au)
There are more in just putting as many as I can think of rn so I have a list to refer back to.

    Current theme
Appearance Changing! Any au relating to altering something's appearance, go for it!

    STORMCLAN

    — INTRODUCTION—
StormClan is a backboard pro-clan with loose traditional ties and a history dating as far back as 2005. It is here that knowledge is encouraged and forging one's own path is celebrated. Although not a rule it is urged that each member at least attempts an art form of any type, this can include writing, painting, or even metalworking! The possibilities are endless! As StormClan's official religion is StarClan is encouraged but not necessary, because above all the value of freedom and individuality is one of the most prominent here.
    — HISTORY —

StormClan has a history that reaches before the vast majority of groups today, dating as far back as 2005.

    Current history is a wip

    — RANKS —

a * by a character's name means they are on probation until further notice.

The leader is Blazestar (Technically Timur)

Leaders are the decision-maker of the Clan. Important responsibilities concerning every branch of clan life and veto power rest with them - their word is law.

    The deputy is TBD (TBD)

A sort of second-in-command; the leader's right hand. They can accept invites from allies, organize events, accept event ideas, hold high position meetings, and hold clan-wide meetings with the leader's permission. They become leader when the current leader passes away or falls inactive.

The Assistant Deputy is Rainstrike (KittyKanDoIt)

Like the deputy is the leader's right hand, assistant deputies are the deputy's right hand. They are prominent figureheads in the clan, and are responsible for the law and order in the clan. They can enact large decisions that aren't explicitly against the leader's or the deputy's wish, such as accepting ally raid requests or accepting ally invites.

The Medicine Cat is Moonbeam (KittyKanDoIt)

They are responsible for the health and well-being of the group as a whole, as well as speaking to StarClan and deciphering prophecies. They are expected to have some degree of warrior training, so as to know self defense if needed on the battlefield of an honourless enemy. Older, wiser medicine cats have equal power with the deputy.

The Medicine Cat Apprentice is TBD (TBD)

These are next in line to be healers, and though they are true high positions, they have very little power. They are expected to follow the current Medicine Cat closely and are hard-working, diligent members of the clan, seen as caregivers.

    The Scribes are Spellpaw

A high position and the leaders of the sectors of StormClan. There is usually two but are promoted as seen fit, leading to the possibility of having more than two. They hand out sector tasks every two weeks and can hold S/HP meetings with permission.

    The Historians are Etherealpaw (Cherrycoke).

A semi high position and a stepping stone rank. They are promoted for being active. They act as kind of a police force and can handle minor punishments, and are also expected to befriend joiners and make them feel welcome. They are responsible members and trusted to answer questions people may have, as well as pass ideas to higher ups.

Warriors make up the bulk of the clan. They are responsible for hunting, patrolling, building, and guarding, and training apprentices to in their way of life. Apprentices are expected to perform more menial tasks, such as cleaning dirt and picking ticks off elders and changing bedding, that would teach them patience and get them closer to other members of the clan. Apprentices must be six moons or older by the Warrior Code; before that, they are considered kits, who are cared for communally by their mothers, called queens. Members that have lost the ability to be warriors or queens, either by injury or old age, retire to become Elders. Elders don't hold any real power, but their wisdom is highly valued and they are taken care of.

There are an unlimited number of these! Feel free to make one.

    — TERRITORY —
    A mountainous terrain.
StormClan's territory is mainly thick evergreen forest consisting of trees like firs and pines, which tends to be foggy. The land slopes upwards to a mountain peak, where the trees thin out until they are entirely replaced with snow and ice.

Atop this peak is what seems to be an abandoned observatory. There are many books on astrology and well as telescopes which, on a clear night, can pick up the finest details in the sky, like a comet's tail burning out, or a yellowish planet circling ever-so-slowly around the earth.

A chilly river runs through the ground level forest, effectively splitting it in half. This stream is practically brimming with fish, just waiting to be caught. It also provides a water source for both the clan and its prey, making it the perfect spot for hunting game.
A little way away on the other side of the river to the mountain is an overgrown railway track. It is surrounded by curving bushes that form a tunnel-like shape. One train car remains on it a little way ahead where the bushes diminish. It is dusty and old, but contains resources such as coal, as well as books and other treasures.
The east part of the territory houses a hidden gorse tunnel, which connects StormClan's main camp to a mountainside clearing. This wooded clearing is brimming with prey, amber, honey, herbs, and other goods; it provides shelter and acts as a sort of asylum.

    — FAQ —

    How do I join?
A: You can make a thread that features your character joining, or you can simply hop in as if your character had been in StormClan the whole time. Up to you!

Q: Do I have to join as a cat?

A: Not at all! You can play any animal in the Extended RP section!

    Q: Can I have a high position?

A: Not immediately. High positions are played by members of the clan who have contributed significantly through activity, ideas, and friendliness. Keep working hard!

Q: Does my character have to follow the Warrior Code?

A: The warrior code will be more or less enforced, so it is a good idea to follow it if you don't want an IC punishment, there will be no OOC consequences.

Q: StormClan isn't from the books. Don't you mean ThunderClan?

A: On FeralFront, all the events from the books haven't occurred. Every leader and character is an original, and it's not based off of the canonical universe of Erin Hunter's Warriors.

Q: My character is being ignored/someone is being rude to my character! What should I do?

A: If your character is ignored, don't despair! It was probably an accident, or there wasn't a lot to reply to. State your desire politely in the thread. If a character is being rude to your character, this is an example of in-character opinions (IC Opinions). However, if a roleplayer is being rude to your character or to you, report it to staff. DO NOT TRY AND HANDLE THIS YOURSELF.

So you have an HP? Congratulations!
This guide is to run you through some basic concepts, so if you're nervous, just skim this section and everything will be alright.
For the purposes of explanation, valid reason will be defined as complete inactivity for seven days without reason or low activity for a prolonged period of time over seven days.
What you may do without permission:
+ Deputies may hold HP meetings, may host or attend events, may issue warnings, may put HPs on probation, and accept allies as well as raid requests from allies. If the Leader's RPer is inactive, they act as leader until the previous leader is demoted, murdered, or steps down.
+ Assistant Deputies may issue warnings, host events, accept allies and raid requests. If the Leader's RPer is inactive, they act as deputies until the previous Deputy is promoted.
+ Medicine Cats can hold official herb-tutoring threads, hold HP meetings, promote and demote Medicine Cat Apprentices, accept ally, neutral, or enemy requests for aid or relief, accept event invites, host and attend events.
+ Medicine Cat Apprentices may hold official herb-tutoring threads and accept ally requests for aid and relief.
+ Scribes may hold S/HP meetings with permission and hand out biweekly sector tasks without permission.
+Ambassadors can host Allie events without permission and rally the clan's help in sending out gift baskets.
+Historians can handle minor punishments for minor rulebreaks.
A general rule of thumb: if you are iffy about anything, ask. Don't worry if you mess up, because the leader can swing in and fix things. Generally, the leader would like to know any information on enemies, wars, large-scale events, promotions, and demotions.
What to do if you are demoted...
Don't worry! It happens to us all. Just keep up the activity and keep the ideas pumping: if you were golden for a position once, you can be golden again.
It's possible to be demoted PARTIALLY because someone is more active for the position than you are, but this will not happen if you issue a notice explaining that you will inactive for a maximum of one weeks. Any inactivity over three weeks is a full demotion, but otherwise, notes can secure your position for a little while, and prevent full demotions. Please be liberal in making them! Don't stress yourself out in real life trying to balance an HP and other issues.
Last but not least: don't be scared to try stuff out. Having an HP is a learning experience. No mistake is great enough that one cannot fix it!
    Have fun! :)

    STORMCLAN SECTORS
a guide to the innovation + intelligence branches
    credit to the wonderful Almond!

    INNOVATION —
The innovation branch is comprised of those who manage Stormclan's internal affairs, or rather 'what goes on' within the clan. Internal affairs included but are not limited to: duties like guards, teachers of small seminars, and event planners. The main objective of the innovation sector is to keep a positive environment for newcomers and older members alike, as well as keeping the community and activity of the clan working smoothly. IC (in character), members of this branch may act as guides, a part of a welcoming committee, and more! The main focus is all things inter-clan.

Headed by Blazestar (RPed by Technically Timur).

    INTELLIGENCE —
The latter sector of StormClan, the Intelligence branch, maintains foreign affairs with jobs along the lines of ambassadors, spies, and diplomats. The role of these members are to make sure that alliances are upheld and that politics are kept up to date and closely followed. Often, these members will visit other groups and be the clan-members to make trips outside the clan. While the Innovation branch may plan more events than the Intelligence branch, this sector can too! Events that members of the intelligence sector may set up include: events with allies invited, planning projects with allies, and more! Their main focus is outside the realm of StormClan.
