The Caste system is worked differently every year, changing from one animal to the next. This tradition is to balance out the power. The Wolf rules one year, with ferocity and loyalty, though not in grace and compassion. The next The Horse takes over, doing as The Wolf did not. Balance. It was written into law by all seven of the Caste leaders. Though there was one who defied these laws, the eighth member disagreed with the system, and fled. He earned himself the title of 'The Beast,' considering his corrupt and twisted ways nearly sent the whole system into chaos. Eventually, the seven members were able to banish the The Beast, promising that if he was to ever enter the kingdom again, he would not be shown such mercy. The Beast, arrogant and cruel, swore justice for himself and his loyal followers. Now, he threatens the existence of the Castes again, though this time, the sides are dividing within.

The territory is not divided evenly amongst the sides by any means. Of course, The Loyalists are in control of the kingdom, but unfortunately not everything around it. The Traitors have taken control of the neighboring woods, a place The Loyalists used to use to send scouts and spies. It seems to have both sides at a stalemate, for every time there is a battle and one side gains more land, the other seems to gain it back writhing another battle.
[fancypost bgcolor= white; border-color: black; border-width: 1px; background-position: ; width: 180px; height: 200px; opacity: 0.4; overflow: auto][glow=black,2,300]HISTORY;[/glow]
The history of the Caste system is brought through several generations of careful breeding to make the perfect leaders. The current Caste members are sons and daughters of the old members, whom created the Caste. The only original member left is The Beast himself, making him noticeably older than all of the others. The Caste was created for the purpose of balance, as already mentioned. Before the system, the kingdom was ruled by a single royal. This royal was usually derived from a more well known family, more commonly known as 'The Big Three.' The Big Three families of the time were Lupus (Wolf), Leo (Lion), and Ursus (Bear.) These families were all predators, and all in great power. The other families Equus (Horse), Aquila (Eagle), Anguis (Snake), and Vulpes (Fox), were enraged that not one single representative from their families were ever chosen to lead the kingdom. The four families brought it to the attention of The Big Three, who simply sent them away for even saying such slander. The four devised a plan to make themselves known to the bigger families, using all of their talents to devise such a plan. The Equus brought grace and compassion, The Aquila brought wisdom and diligence, The Anguis brought manipulation and boldness, and The Vulpes brought trickery and cunning. Their plan was fashioned perfectly, so perfectly they could not see the flaws in it. They didn't have the intelligence and loyalty of The Lupus, nor the ferocity and passion of The Leo, even the strength and perception of The Ursus went undetected by the four. They launched their plan, attacking the families in the night when they thought they'd surprise them. The Big Three captured them, but it without much struggle from the traits they were also missing their own genes. The Big Three pardoned the four families, impressed by their balance and soon representatives of the four families were allowed to become the single ruler. The Caste system being formed wasn't a very exciting story, simply the agreement between all of the families to select one representative from their families to rule alongside the others. The Beast, however, is assumed to be a hybrid. This, breeding between different Castes, is strictly forbidden and now it is evident why.

The beliefs vary from each family, though individual beliefs are also very different throughout the kingdom. There is not one specific belief all the families share, so any faith an individual has is legal under the laws that have been written.

The Loyalists; (aka the ones loyal to the kingdom)
The Wolf - Male - Taken - Played By; Makaio
The Wolf is the leader of the kingdom, considering it is his year to rule. He is known for being fiercely loyal and incredibly intimidating. He leads with a competitive spirit, viewing most serious situations as a game to be won. He is an expert at strategic combat, though he tends to depend on brute strength more than brawn. It was said that before The Lion joined the traitors, she and The Wolf were very close.

The Snake - Female - Taken - Played By; Pusheen
The Snake is the golden liar of the group. Anything she says may be a lie, but you'll never know because she can get away with it easily. This allows her to be an expert manipulator, though somewhat overconfident in her abilities. She's very bold and straightforward, not one to beat around the bush, but rather get straight to the point.

The Bear - Male - Reserved - Played By; Melodic
The Bear, an obvious leg up for The Loyalists considering he's the second of the original 'Big Three,' is the brute strength of The Loyalists. He's able to notice things before others on his faction, due to his valuable gift of perception. The downfall of The Bear is his inability to fight off swift and cunning enemies. Otherwise, he's the muscle of the faction.

The Horse - Female - Taken - Played By; FangMelody
The Horse is the most rational individual in the group. She's very compassionate and kind to others, though very guarded and weary when need be. Compassion is her forté, and this could also be her undoing. She's willing to help anyone and everyone, whether that anyone be an injured ally or enemy, she is always dead set on doing the right thing.
The Traitors; (aka the ones not loyal to the kingdom)
The Beast - Male - Open - Played By; Open
The Beast is the ringleader of the rebellion, quite arrogant and cruel in his ways. He has quite a manipulative personality, as he convinced the other traitors to join his cause. It is unknown whether he is capable of caring for anyone but himself and has not made any attempt to change the statement. He's known to be very intelligent, but his confidence is a major downfall of his persona.

The Lion - Female - Taken - Played By; bubbletea
The Lion is often the most passionate about the rebel's cause. She is very dedicated to The Beast and was easily swayed to join his cause. It's often implied that she is easily deceived, a weakness of her personality. She's very fierce and protective, willing to defend those loyal to Th Traitors until death. Her past relationship with The Wolf is something she refuses to talk about, a sort of trigger for her.

The Fox - Male - Taken - Played By; sadie!
The Fox is the trickster of the group, always making the situation a joke no matter how dire it is. He tends to be more cunning and evasive then actually engaging in combat. He prefers to allow the enemy to go lead themselves to their own undoing then do it himself. He, of course, knew what the goal of The Beast was, and rather joined The Traitors of the thrill rather than The Loyalists for 'guaranteed' safety.

The Eagle - Female - Reserved - Played By; Azaria
The Eagle is the brains of The Traitors. She had never been distinctly swayed by The Loyalists even before the rebellion, but saw greater opportunity amongst the rebels. She's very thoughtful in her attacks, making her the strategist for the group. It's obvious that she usually only looks out for herself, though she tends to care for The Fox, The Horse, and The Snake regardless of their side, since they had once all been a team.

OOC//WHEN POSTING; (These cannot be broken)
1; This is a fairly advanced thread, that being said, I don't expect you to reply with a five page pamphlet every time you post. Just try to keep it two a minimum of six-eight sentences per post.
2; For the respect of others, if you do have your character curse, please either star out a letter or hyphen it. (i.e. sh*t, d-mn)
3; I am allowed to reject your form if I feel it's not detailed enough, though I will not be doing this unless I can tell you didn't put work into your form. (i.e. 'What's your character's history?' "When he was five his mom died and that's why he's mean.")
4; The ranks have specific genders to them, please don't change the gender of the character.
5; It's not a requirement, but if you could, please provide a fancypost when you reply. I understand if you're unable to.
6; If you read the ranks, each rank has a small snippet of what the basis of their personality is. The character's personality doesn't have to match the rank exactly. That being said, if you reserve The Beast, and then make his personality forgiving and caring, that won't be accepted. Try to keep them based around the snippet.
7; Lastly, if you sign up for a predator type rank, don't make your character more important than the more docile ranks.
IC; (Some of these may be broken)
1; The majority of the Caste has to approve a law being made or changed.
2; If you're seen with a member of the opposite faction, you'll be given a fair trial by the leaders of your faction.
3; Put 'Royals' in your other section if you've read the rules.

Unless you are playing The Beast, which I assume you're not since that's not what you reserved, the age limit would be anywhere from 18-25. :)

What are your questions? :)

There is no limit to the number of tattoos. The skills are anything you deem important to build your character. So yes, if you feel fighting skills are important, put that, or if it's musically talented, put that. Yes, the code name is anything you want it to be. The name meaning is basically if it's in a different language then put what it means in English.
